This is by far my favorite channel! Thanks for everything u put on here! Much appreciated..I remember having my wifes family over..Having a huge dinner and being so nervous about getting our 1st win
Your kind words are appreciated. Many more games to share. Saving some of the absolute classics for later to allow for more improvements in the remastering process before putting those out. Likely be will redo some of the earliest releases again too. We learn as we go…
That 6-3 finish which set the tone for 1999, half of those wins were in the spoiler role: This Giants game, at Oakland, a late season Saturday vs Tampa Bay All 3 of those teams finished 8-8 and 1 game shy of the playoffs.
he would not have lasted. brad johson had an excellent 1999. new owner dan snyder brought in his eventual replacement in the offseason in 2000 and couldnt wait to tell the head coach that jeff george needs to be the starter. that would have happened with trent green as well.
That was the story of the Norv Turner era. 96 and 97 we had good starts but collapsed late in the season and 98 we had the worst possible start and a good finish. Not too mention Norv’s terrible record in 1 score games in Washington. I have a such a love hate with this era.

I like how the center sneakily moved the ball over the goal line before the snap on the first scoring drive.

I remember Trent Green looked really good that season. Also the first hints that Stephen Davis was special even though he was being used as a FB.
Always liked Trent!
One more tidbit.. crazy memory..In 1998 my sisters best friend was dating Darryl Pounds..Always wondered what happened to him
I was at this game!
Always regretted they let Trent slip away. Brad Johnson had that one good year but Green would have been interesting to see stay a Redskin

Bittersweet we had talent just needed to get over the hump.

I feel that for sure. My respect for Norval has gone up a lot since he was here
The skins are off the schnide
I understood that reference
