Hey guys love your videos and I am a new listener of your podcast! anyway you guys could do a podcast over what the movie industry and more specifically the movie theater landscape will be like post covid? will movie theaters survive or thrive again? when will a quiet place to come out? has streaming services made the movie theater experience obsolete? something along those lines
@@raidersofthelostpodcast_ I truly enjoy the movie going experience, especially at a nice theater for a big time production movie. But I know many of my friends would rather stay at home and then pay the extra money for a night out at the theater. Would certainly like to get y'alls take on the matter. Keep up the good work!
I loved this podcast. I watched this when it first got released. After all these years, I still wanted more. And this podcast gave me more. 10/10.🎉 Thanks guys.

My favorite parts are where you correct each others pronunciation, confirm that you heard the correct pronunciation, then go right back to how you said it the first time.
Hobbiton is absolutely epic. As well as NZ in general. Riding around a campervan and seeing all the filming spots. You guys go and take advantage of the free working holiday visas for americans! You won't regret it.
@@raidersofthelostpodcast_ yeah guys! And Australia only cost a couple hundred for a year work visa... Do it before you're in your thirties because it'll expire. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about it. I did both. Happy to help.
I think that one of the biggest reasons why "LotR' movies were so great was because it was a labour of great love toward the story and Tolkien's world. The crew and cast were all immensely dedicated to give justice toward this amazing piece of literature, to pay tribute to the power of human imagination.
i'm old enough to have been able to be a fan of the books before the films were ever made, and it was surprising to me back then to learn that The Lord of the Rings books were more popular in the U. S. than they were in Britain, for debatable reasons. just saying, since you guys guessed the opposite.
Yeah when they said that the movies came out of nowhere and no one really knew about them here I was like what really!? These guys are too young to remember the counterculture of the 60s and 70s but rock bands wrote songs about the Lord of the Rings, and there was graffiti on the New York subway walls saying Frodo lives, people were wearing Tom Bombadil buttons... and then it all just faded out and the only thing that the sixties are remembered for now is the anti-war movement and free love.
Fellowship is definitely the best in the trilogy. Two Towers and Return of the King change the book more and have little nitpick moments like legolas taking down a mumakil which cheapnes the film considering it's only action movie fan service
Within the first minute you have already 2 major mistakes... Phillipa Boyena? Fellowship of the Rings? (kinda gives the title a whole new meaning.) not sure if i want to watch the rest now...
@@Schellnino1994 Sorry for the mistakes bud, I can assure you they were completely by accident. Of course we don't think it's called Fellowship of the Rings and I had a typo on Phillipa's name. When cameras and sound rolls it's difficult to pick up on mistakes you say and its easy to misspeak. We'll be better and hope you watch the full episode despite those two incidents
@@raidersofthelostpodcast_ hehe I did watch and liked it! Yeah I figured the name was a combination of JA Bayona who is directing the pilot for Amazon's upcoming tv series and her last name :) (I spotted a few other edits.) *animated version in 1978 not 1973. -Ralph Bakshi's animated LOTR is an incredibly ambitious film that I highly recommend. It was actually a commercial success, but the behind-the-scenes story of the film made it to where they never finished it. -Rakin/Bass's 1977 animated Hobbit film in actually really good! still holds up! 100% recommend. ^Completely understandable why they gave The ROTK cartoon to them (although i cannot recommend it. it is terrible!) *New Line Cinema still in business, just bought out by Warner bros. (It chapter 2,The Hobbit) Although they were bankrupt after the Golden Compass fiasco.
Love the podcast! But you guys should definitely introduce some original segments within each episode. Anything to kind of break it up! I really like the podcast, but it's starting to sound like a recap episode each time. Get creative! 😊

Uh oh we’re 31! 😵
I second this is my last day in New Zealand before going home but at least going to Hobbition and Weta Cave is a must!
Does this mean we’ll get individual episodes for each Harry Potter film..... please? 🥺
I think that's a TERRIFIC idea

It's for sure debatable! I think the lack of Gollum prevents it from being the best, but it's your list! :)
You guys are straight 🐐’s
😎😎
Great episode guys! Love me some Lord of the Rings!!
More to come!
@@raidersofthelostpodcast_ We wants it, Precious! 😂
So for the Amazon show how far ahead will it be after the hobbit trilogy????
its before the hobbit
It will be around Isildur’s timeline when Sauron was in a physical form
The only bone i have to pick is y’all showing that shot of Bilbo’s inner creepy creature coming out not once but TWICE!! Traumatizing
LOL we had to
I absolutely love LOTR!!!!! Are you guys going to do an episode for each of the trilogy?
