Dude, I worked at a radio shop before (knowing little of electrical just all mechanical) and you explained this shit 100x better than the bozos I worked with trying to teach me.
Appreciate that homie 💯💯
No doubt bro💪🏼
@David Rivera bro 💯
Once you tapped in to that speaker wire and bridge those...do not plug that plug back into the amp? I noticed you left it out.. wasn't sure if that amp was powering other things in the car...
nah you had it right the “blowse” amp most definitely 🤦🏾♂️
LMAO RIGHT
You can use a 9volt battery and a couple clip leads to find polarity on a speaker 👍
Yes sir!!!!!
@@Jenuin I use a AAA battery.
Thanks for your explanation. The guy at best buy pissin me off by not helping me understand this at all, but you explained exactly what I needed to know in plain English and you showing me and all that. Now, why couldn't he just do that for me real quick? Absurd. Anyways. Thank you.
They should have made those matching male to female clips to start with
I also hav a Altima. Can you pls tell me what wires are to the amp from head unit and what wires are from amp to speakers? I’m gonna bypass factory amp till I get a 4ch
Yo. This was so helpful! I had to watch a few times to understand all the way but when I got it, I GOT IT! Headunit sounds great and now I have CarPlay in my ‘04 Infiniti
Couldn't i just run the input wires from factory amp to the inputs on the new aftermarket amplifier...? Then take the output wires from factory amplifier and wire those to the output on the new amp...im trying to understand why i need go behind factory radio unit for a signal if they already there from the factory amp only thing i should have to do is run a 4-8ga power wire and ground wire for new amp? Jus a theory
The blows amp lmfao
Why didn't you just jump the wires from one harness to another (therefore bypassing the amp) and use the Metra 7551 (or whatever the connector is that allows for speaker level connection behind the head unit) which should let you use the cars stock wires to carry the signal to the speakers?
To find correct phase without a phase tester you can also use a 1.5 battery just touch the speaker leads to both ends of battery and the other ends of the wire to speaker if you if you have correct leads the speaker will pop out if not it will suck in.
I was going to say the same, but for a 9v.
Where are you finding the amp? I have a 2018 Kia optima SX, but can’t find the amp….
I’ve been trying to figure out how to do this for a while!! You couldn’t have explained all this any better man, thank you!!!!!
You cannot truly hate on both the only people that can can is people that can can't afford to fix it because it is expensive or can't afford to buy new stuff because it's expensive if you're looking for base JBL is definitely better but both sound is true and pure I do prefer JBL But you know you full Of it when you said blow
So after I wire the 9 wire to the amp harness could I plug in the other end to a 4channel amp?
You fount them? 😂
All you need to do is find the radio on switch wire in the factory wiring harness then wire that wire to your red accessory wire n bam no need for all those 50$ shits or cut all them wires up like this dummy your welcome got a vid on my channel if you need more explanation
Need help bypassing my factor amp in my Jeep Cherokee 2005
One thing though. The higher wattage of the new amps your putting in and the increase in amperage, the factory gauge wires aren't big enough. So it's better to run new wiring and not power and speaker wires together throughout the entire run.
Wrong. Its enough for speakers. That only applies to woofers
@@terryreyes1125 yes but the factory power wire might need to be replaced
And ground
Can someone help me, I have the oem stereo in my 04 g35 sedan x, I have an aftermarket amp, but the amp stays on with the stereo off, where or which remote wire to use?
Tap in acc wire (Orange) or better off get after market radio.
Lol and UH Jesus boy you dropped 11 in the first 1:05mins lol
Can you not splice/ wire the input and output wires together instead of running 9 wire?
Hi where to locate the amplifier? I have a 2015 Mazda CX-5
Rough but this shit helped me out, thanks!
Friend, could you help me? I have a Pontiac Torrent 2008 pickup. I bought a 9-inch Android Radio. When I connect the speakers, it doesn't sound, because the original amplifier that comes with the car runs out of power, and the speaker cables don't work. Could you tell me which cables? you connected so that the amplifier of the
Car and thus be able to Pass Current to the Speakers
I’ve been looking for a video like this for a while appreciate this man
Thanks for watching
same here just found it....now to the center console
I’m wondering can you just just take out the factory amp and tap right into wire harness with a 4 channel amp. I’m trying to get a louder clearer sound in my Denali. I guess I could still run it the way jp did just would have to run the power wire to the battery but I’m wondering if I could use the power wire that’s powering the factory amp and would the gauge be efficient enough
Great video, bro. 1 question: Can I just cut all wires from connector side of harness ( factory amp side of harness ) , then tie my new speaker lead-wires into that connector harness, from the NEW amplifier, and reconnect connector side of harness back into factory harness?
That should get power to all speakers if done correctly, then I can run power and ground, may not even need remote wire to radio bc factory harness has remote which I have connected behind aftermarket headunit already. I already installed a Interface kit to retain steering wheel controls- which is working great, but factory amp keeps cutting off, so this is my plan to bypass.
I have a 2011 Miata with a premium BOSE system and the amp died. Bose doesn't fix or sell them anymore. And I don't want a used one. So WTF bruh I need a whole sound system now..
2011 Subaru legacy 3.6 premium Haram kardon non nav
I am looking for a connecter pinouts from the head unit to the factory amp so I can tap into the speaker level rear speakers to install a aftermarket amp and bypass the factory amp but I cannot find a wire diagram any help would be appreciated
wire diagrams are on my patreon page per request
Quick question my bose amp went out are you telling me i can do this and everything will be back to normal without them amp?
This was bypassing the amp to an aftermarket radio so in that case yes but if your amp has gone out with the factory radio still in than your better off replacing the bose amp.
Can i just run a line out converter
Can not find 2008 audi a6 bose
I got that blows system too :(
Trying to do this in a 2010 Altima 2.5s with Bose. Don’t want to remove factory door speakers and want to just connect the 4 doors speakers and none of the others. Can’t find the correct wiring diagram at all and don’t have these tools or where to get them
Fukk that just wire factory amp to ur remote wire on new stereo
Can this be done to a Lexus is250 2014?
Why do you not have the wiring diagram here?
How can know if my 2007 Chevy impala has an amp and can I bypass it without buying a control interface module
Instead of running new wires you could just jump the wires from the input side of the amp plug to outside of the amp plug bypassing the amp, you made a lot more work for yourself man.
Would that work?
@@jeremyclark9705 wouldnt recommend but yes it does work. but it’s like plugging an extension cord into itself but there’s a power wire that powers the extension (so it’s always on aka dead battery in the mornings) IF IM NOT WRONG
@@ericnicolini-calderon1337 Old comment but for others who might stumble on this.. If you jump the speaker wires from the input side of the amp to the output side you would bypass the amp entirely. You would only hook up the speaker wires, meaning the factory amp would *not* turn on (no signal wire to tell it to power on) and therefore it wouldn't drain your battery.
Sorry im not technical minded but getting sick of this amp picking and choosing when i can have my radio sound on in simple terms how can i “jump” the amp someone mention optical cable bypass ??
That's what brought me here. The fuse under hood pops as soon as I put it in and I'm wondering if I can just cut them and splice them together just to get sound. I have a car that's got a system but in the minivan I'm not tying to do all that. Just want it to work.
Buddy of mine showed me that you can also test for positive and negative by simply using a 9v battery from the junk drawer
For toyota 4runner 2001 the by pass
Why would you do this just hook up a audio control lc2 and stock amp that what it's made for.✌️👌👍💯
that will work but everybody wont pay 100 for the lc2i so got to give everyone a way to get there system hooked up.
Hi Sir, can you help me, i want to startup this amplifie, amp model is 28061 4ga2a, i want to play it at home. I have 12volt, 32ampire adapter, speakers, subwoofer. Plz plz. Help me about wiring.
Question. In my 07 maxima with this brutal system, is it necessary or even possible for that matter to bypass subwoofer wiring? I already have a sub setup but this makes me question it now
Dude can you offer me some advice please? I have a 2005 G6 and it has Monsoon. The only harness I can find says will not work with monsoon(idk if this means the stereo wont work at all or they are just referring to my DIC and chimes). Crutchfield says I need to buy this PAC interface but I dont want that shit, I dont care about my DIC or door chimes. Then I read I can use the harness if I bypass the amp. I dont understand why though. Can I just hardwire the speaker wires and not even connect the amp wire behind the radio? I saw a guy do this but he cut the amp wire and connected it to the remote amp wire from the aftermarket harness. I am so fkn confused man!! I would just keep stock radio but the damn this plays very low volume on FM radio only and no one can help me with that either. I happen to have an old sony xplod I thought I could just swap out until hearing all this crap about monsoon systems.
good question so if the harness says that it wont work with your vehicle if it has the monsoon system then it probably means that it is not going to integrate the factory amp. so the radio may come on but you wont hear any sound from speakers. PAC interface harness are always a better choice because it will do all the hardwork for you but it will be a more exspensive harness. the reason you can use the cheaper harness and if you bypass the amp is because the cheaper harness will only power the radio not provide sound so you will have to bypass the amp and run speaker wire to the back of the radio for sound. youll save money but is more work.
@@jptheinstallguy Ah ok this makes sense thanks! Yea normal harness + the case is like 25 bucks. That damn pac interface will run me at least 90 with a case!
So I can follow this or any video to bypass my amp or is monsoon amp bypass different? Will The volume be much lower because I am not using my amp? Or do you know if the Sony xplod radio has some internal amp that will make it just as loud? Other than volume will it sound better or worse if I do this?
sorry for so many noob questions haha
You can bypass the amp with a harness from OWC Upgrades. It just plugs into the factory connections and then you connect your aftermarket gear to it. Best money I ever spent.
do you know how tu get the harness for a 2015 nissan sentra??
@@unknownc2k Yeah. The company I mentioned above has them. Just google the name and you'll see the website.
Will unplugging the amp do away with bose pulling power out of the speakers at higher volume. After 75%-100 it doesn't get louder
Man you damn gud because you explain everything really gud finally I can learn more in depth about car sound thnx
Okay so I found my factory amp on my car also found the speakers wire on the amp , now I run that to my aftermarket radio , so now where do I get the power from ?
So all I need is to connect from the amp is the speaker wires and that it ?
We use the 9 volt battery to test speakers
What is the part number of the amp you working on
im not sure what the part number on the amp was
When doing this, should I disconnect both terminals from car battery ?
i have a 2014 mercedes gl450 need to put an amp bypassing the factory amp can i connect my nine wire right at the amp location
So i have a 2015 camaro "convertible " v6 without the Boston acoustic factory amp. It just has a regular factory amp the comes with the basic models so my question is can i still bypass my factory amp with this same method? There are alot of bypass kits for the Boston acoustic but i cant seem to find any way to get a bypass harness or find a way to re wire my basic factory amp
Im thinkin bout hookin up.a factory amp from a ford escape into a honda do you think thats possible?
Ok what’s the best way to go about it
Do you keep the bose amp connected so you retain the other features or you leave it disconnected?
So the factory amp when u bypass do u leave it connected or no
I have a 2015 Mazda 3i sport hatchback with the bose system I'm keeping the stock radio and I will be changing the front door speakers no rear fill will be using a 4 channel amp and a sub amp along with the helix dsp mini low level so how do I go about this
how would i run aftermarket amp to a stock radio that has stock amp
this is the way. bypass that factory amp and use the speaker wires from the amp side as signal for your LOC or processor and use the speaker side wires to run to your 4ch
@@jptheinstallguy I put a Bose in dash from a 2007 Tahoe into a 2008 Tahoe non Bose system everything plays but the sound is real low what do I do
@@pirruripirruri4731 Go to the Diyma forum and ask them... I think that Bose headunit might be processing the signal before it gets to the amp/speakers... Bose shit sucks though... I definitely wouldn't put a Bose headunit into a non-Bose system... They sell double din stereos on Amazon for as little as $40... I'd buy one of those cheap ass units before I forced myself into dealing with a Bose that's going to fuck up the signals and give you sound problems.
I have a question so my factory radio don’t work at all I checked the radio fuse and it’s good can yo tell me what it could be
Ain’t make no sense
If I were wanting to run this to an aftermarket amp where would I plug my rcas in if I’m keeping the stock head unit I know I need a loc but would I tap in to the input channels then coming into the factory amp?
Had a question I got a 2005 envoy Denali with the Bose system I put coaxials and all the doors but the front speakers are only putting out bass no highs is there a way to bypass this or do something about this without rewiring the whole system .. I'm putting a 4-channel amp in and I got the coaxial speakers in each door I just want to know how I can get the front speakers working so there's not just bass
Y didnt you plug those wires back into the amp?
If I have a dsp, can I just run everything thru it, to my aftermarket amps(3), then remove the factory amp?
JP, clarity in Camaro fog! Thanks for that! Sorry this is long. I'm asking this question in becasue I need a little guidance. I have a 2017 Camaro 1LT, non-bose "a nightmare for audio upgrade. I replaced all speakers with 500 watt Kickers (2 ohm), but the horrible factory amp only pushes about 40 watts and happens to control many other functions. Shameful for a Camaro right!? Do you think I can use your method to bypass the factory amp, "without changing the head unit". Everything on my vehicle is controlled from the head unit, changing is not an option. In my mind's eye, I use your procedure on the amp output side, and wire directly to the new 4 channel amp (make still undetermined), input, then connect the speakers to the amp output. Would you do it this way? Or should I take only the audio signal coming from the head unit and wire (bypass) to the new amp? I feel like I should use some kind of digital level control mid-stream, before the new amp input. If you help me through this, I will put your banner on my car! I show it every Friday here in Orlando. Thanks David
Do you know where the factory amp is for 2017 Chevy impala
So I did everything you you did in the videos so now when I turn my radio on it only plays music and bass out of my subwoofers but none of my door speakers are playing music any idea why that is?
The 9 volt trick is trick
Is it possible to bypass the factory amp with out sending wires to the stock stereo? In other words can i bypass the factory amp and just connect everything str8 to my aftermarket amp. If so how??? Do i tap into the factory input wires to gain signal for the rca converter box for the amp and tap into the factory output wire to connect the amp to send signal from the aftermarket amp. Because Im really trying to avoid taking my whole dash apart and doing it that way. i located the factory amp in the trunk so i figure it be easier if this is possible. Please if someone knows i would really appreciate it. Thank you.
How do I know if my 2009 Honda Accord exl have a factory amp? Or anc?
i want to fix the amp in toyata car. how could be. need wiring diagram.

thanks man buy me a beer one day...lol
I'm trying to install aftermarket amp in a 2007 m35x can I tap into the factory amps input and output..so only wires I would have to run are power and ground ? My aftermarket amp has high level inputs
Thinking about doing this cause i have a aftermarket deck and im getting an annoying static noise (white noise). But what are your thoughts on just splicing head unit out to amp out to speakers just skip the factory amp?
BLOWS system lmao
Where did you get the wire diagram from?
he just named 20 websites geez
If you tapped into the factory amp your alley on the speaker wires so what’s the need to run the 9 wire to the front you could have went straight to the amp and saved time and never had to take the factory radio out
How would you go about adding additional amp/s to a factory head unit that already has built in amps? I have a 9 speaker system by Sony in a Focus ST and want to put bigger speakers in as well as an additional amp. In other words add to factory amps but not bypass them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated…
Do you know what wire is the factory amp turn on power on a 2006 ford f150
😊
If my Factory amp blowed out can i still bypass it or do i have to fix it first
What with speakers impedance and new radio unit ? Bose at most produce 1-2 Ohm speakers and every aftermarket radio has 4 Ohm for channel.
Location factory amp. Please impala2006
I just wanna add a sub
I want to install sub and 2 speakers from should i take input for my 4 channel loc
What if you want to add a aftermarket amplifier and we’re do the rca go
Just a quick question will I need to do this if I install a new headunit or can I just use the wiring at the back of the headunit
if you have the right wire harness it should integrate just fine so no need to bypass unless you want to run your speakers off the radio or another amp
@@jptheinstallguy could I use the 9wire to direct connect the speakers to the radio speaker wires and another 9wire from amp speaker cables to radio rca so that way I can keep it plugged in and use?
have you figured out how to get the dome lights back? My 08 Altima coupe are wired through the bose amp
My volume and my audio and beeps is not working some body help me
Hi, i like this video, but same amp i have can you help me to power it up, i want to use this bose amp in my home, this amp -12v is black but +12volt is missing, so. If you help me to start it up.thanks
You can also use a 9 volt battery if you don’t have a tester
Same concept
Great video tho
Blows system lol
Hello so you don't plug the amplifier connector back? Just leave them unplug?
Sorry for late response it yes the only time I'll plug it back in is if there is a factory sub 😉 that way I can amp the door speakers and keep the sub playing as well

is250 ever did the amp bypass with navi
🙋👍😁😎Great video did you have to do this when you installed the JVC radio or is this part of the same job working on the Hummer H2?
Naw man this is more so a how to just incase your adding an amp to the system or if the factory amp stops working and you need to bypass it or simply if you don't like the factory amp and you want to run the speakers directly from the radio
