That bypass you did works fine and dandy for a straight up deck swap, without the use of any amps.Once you're good and ready for a decent system in that thing, you'll want to run at least 14 gauge to each speaker. Dem dinky factory wires will not handle well the power from any decent amplifier. You'll run into distortion issues once the factory wires start to over heat. Another thing, when you bypass the way you did, you only end up running 4 of the 7 speakers. So you lose 2 speakers and the subwoofer sound (if it came with it equipped from factory). If it didnt, then I guess no loss then. But yeah, you'll want to run new speaker wire to each speaker once you decide to get a decent system going.

I didn't cut any of my wires at the factory harness app I just simply unplug them then I hook my radio up only power supply ground and signal for my amp then came off of my amp to hit all the speakers but my mistake I made was putting my amp all the way in the third row then I put my subs facing my amp that was definitely a rookie mistake I watched so many videos on what the hell kept making my amp go into protection and found nothing then I realized what I did and I just shortened the power supply and put it under the second seat and now it works fine if you going to put it all the way in the back I would probably go with 0 gauge wire I only have 8 so just keep that in mind and don't face your subs towards your amp cuz all that vibration will make your amp go into protectionI'm telling you I've been scratching my head for like 3 weeks now trying to figure it out and finally today I hooked everything up and it works fine my sub amp is getting extremely hot but it's an audio planet so it's probably about to go outbut the moral of this long-ass message if you made it here is you don't have to do all this in the video just hook your power your signal wire and your ground up to your head unit then come off of your amp for your speakers it is a little bit more work but then you don't have to do with the complications

So Kendrick’s are you claiming the factory AMP is bad? Is that why you “bypassed” it ?97 Tahoe 2 Door I got no sound in the rear roof speakers. Checked fuses all good took speakers out they looked good plugged up and all. I aint Fixin to chop my wire harness gots to be something else.

it's in the console, but I'm pretty sure there is a plug behind the cubby or traction control button that goes to the amp and you can do the splicing there if you have not already done so.

You have to probe the wires until they turn on. That’s how I found mine. Or you could go on some groups and find the color information.

Why not just directly run speakers to amp ? Then amp to RCA ? No need to bypass or unplug anything !! And its easier ... Never fuck with your cars stock wiring !! Electric problems are a bitch to figure out what's wrong and will cause you big issues or even a fire.
