This song is my favorite
faint
the title of the song is the first thing they came up with when writing the music. It was likely written after Broken Foot (Brad Delson their guitarist broke his foot at one point when they were first writing songs for the album) and often times they came up with the name of the song before any words were written so that’s why you have songs with names like “Faint” and “Figure.09” etc basically the working titles just stuck and stayed that way. Sometimes they’d completely finish their songs before going into professional studios to record them, this song was cut in favour of the others that made it onto Meteora in the end.
Also the fandom had been waiting for this track for 20 years because you can hear a snippet of Rob playing drums over the bridge in the Making of Meteora.
Out of the 5 main songs that came out from the 20th anniversary (Lost, More the Victim, Healing Foot, Fighting Myself, and Massive) I think this one is my favorite
My favorite from the Meteora album is Hit The Floor for sure, it rocks !!! 🤘✌️
Oddly enough I would have swapped out Hit the Floor with Fighting Myself and this song with Easier to Run
