Finding a holster for my APX w/TLR-7A was fun. I found one company who offered one that was QLS compatible, holds it pretty secure but it also has a WRS hood for extra measure. Another thing to think about is that having a WML and HHL means you should have 2 batteries for two lights, in case one dies you do have the option to prioritize. The light on my pistol is both a light and a spare battery holder for either my handheld or rifle light, whichever may end up needing a battery on short notice. I'm not saying that's why you should get a pistol light, I'm just saying that's a free bonus.
I‘d love to hear you guys talk about Swiss Armed Forces rifles. From K31 to SIG 510 (Sturmgewehr 57), both chambered in 7.5x55 Swiss to SIG 550 and variants. There‘s a lot to talk about. :-)
I’m sure you are more experienced than me but I have found 600 to 800 lumins is about the sweet spot once you start getting up there it causes reflect problems in a building. I was also trained to turn my light on and point it at the floor you will be surprised how well you illuminate a room with a 600 lumin light pointed at the floor
Combining this discussion with various sight options would have been good. Iron sights with white dots and hand held light works best for me all around.
I dryfire with my wml but hardly ever drill live with it. I’ll have to figure out how to change that. Hoping to see you guys do a podcast on PRS style air guns…. Hope you guys will change that!
A good wml for a 9x25 Dillon would be something with a tight focus, considering the distance it is useful for, but still a solid spill for short range work
However you do not need to point a gun at someone that has a proper weapon light. You can use the spill not the hot zone from the light to identify your assailant this does depend on the light.
I don't know if they have a holster specifically for your model, but black rhino holsters will make a custom holster to fit almost anything, and they're not excessively expensive, I had a full-custom holster made for my Canik TP9SF with a tlr7 and threaded barrel and suppressor height sights for around $70. Shipping was fast too, considering it was made to order not a pre-made setup, I think it took 7-8 days from order.
Like to see you all talk about our (United States) adversaries weapons and specifically their calibers. Our 5.56, vs their 5.45x39, their 5.8x42. With the current potential conflict. Know your enemy.
He forgot the ayoob style where the light is beside the firearm. Your shooting the firearm with one hand, but the flashlight is being held with the support hand down the slide on the weak hand side. But that’s if you have a flashlight that has a button on the side like a mag light
I surmise lights on guns are only logical on predator and nuisance animal rigs such as coyote, Hogs, and predators that are in attack mode or are ordered to be shot by wildlife officials, as a hidden assailant only has to wait for light to leave his or her area, then come up in the shadows of the light and simply shoot towards the light. True without a light themselves the victim would need to make sure the silhouette is that of an adult and not a child or friend or family member, mostly because if assailant is armed with knife or hard object, the would be victim would need to be able to aim and accurately shoot in the average time it usually takes to shoot and stop the attack of a charging assailant which can be on average 7 yds or 1.5 seconds away, but an unseen assailant in the shadows of a light, with an aiming point, The light', can close that space as fast as a cartridge can shoot depending on twist rate and velocity of cartridge. So, I surmise again that it is worth the danger to take the extra time to clearly identify and access the threat, without a light, so as you don't give away your position and become an easy victim. I'm only surmising and not trying to be a smart guy, just sharing my thoughts. Thank You.
I’m sorry but this guy doesn’t really know what he’s talking about here. Ya just DONT use your firing hand to active your light and ya DONT put the light at your head. Studies have shown and training shows people shoot at the light and or barrel of the fire arm. Please Don’t do either of those. Just don’t. Not even going to watch the rest of this.
@One Two Three Incorporated they keep deleting my replies. If you want to know how to property utilize a weapon mounted light or hand held shoot me a DM.
Maybe this was legit 30 years ago when the best light available was a crummy mag-lite with a halogen bulb. If you have ever been in a shoot house (in the last 10 years anyway) a good light absolutely blinds the hell out of you at pistol ranges. Your not 'aiming' at a light with 600-1000 lumens in your face at room distances. And if the person with the light is moving (which they should be)...good luck telling where the beam originated from. Sure...a guy outside in an open field with his light permenantly on...well yeah if it's not shined in your face you can tell exactly where he's at.
@@jonathonschram3429 people 100% aim toward the light. 1,000 lumen, 500 lumen, 200 lumen. Doesn’t matter. We teach to hold your hand held up and away from your body aimed toward the target; ie: vehicle approach for law enforcement or unknowns in a dark place same concept applies. If you look at law enforcement engagements you’ll find a trend of officers getting shot in the hands and arms. You’ll also notice the exact same trend in a shoot house. You say “permanently on” which ties into my other point of not actuating your WML with your firing hand. That should be done with your offhand thumb as to “stick and move” rarely should a WML be permanent actuated.
@One Two Three Incorporated What are you disagreeing with me on? And what business have I promoted? I commented because this guys technique will definitely help cops get killed or cause negligent discharge. I don’t need you, who I’m assuming has zero credentials, nor anyone else who hasn’t been involved in real world shootings or even actual scenario based training to disagree with me when I KNOW what works and what happens to the human body when under the amount of stress that occurs when you’re involved in combat or officer involved shootings. I posted what I posted from experience, try it, train it, and learn for yourself. I do not care if you place your handheld at your face and get shot. I do not care if you use your finger trigger to actuate your weapon light and ND. I do not care if you use constant on and show the world your location. ANY real trainer that you can come up with will 100% agree with that. Again, do what you want bro.
Just discovered this channel and enjoying it! Thank you!

with how small and amazing the streamlight tlr7/8s are, there is no reason to not carry something on anything but the smallest pocket pistols
What about pistols that don’t feature rails
