I love this version of this song for so many reasons. From a movie standpoint, it was a true turning point for the church. These ladies were finally heard. From a spiritual standpoint, it is a reminder of why I follow HIM today and everyday I live. HE is the reason I wake up every morning and I will be forever grateful for everyday. One of the little details of this scene that I love is the fact that the group of kids who came in the first time the choir sang together under Mary Clarence are seated right behind the Monseigneur and Reverend Mother. The first souls the choir brought to God given a prime seat for the choir's biggest moment.
I have watched this movie many times and while I have seen them there it didn’t dawn on me until I watched this clip that I saw the same thing. The first 4 people who responded to that wonderful choir were able to sit right up in the front. Actually makes me tear up thinking of that
