No one like our Grace. Phenomenal song writer and singer. Her voice. Emotive. Makes me get goosbumps listening to her. My favorite since Idol since AGT. She writes and produces her own work -- has all the equipment at home - record company provided it to her.

Great commentary. I don't know what it is about Grace, but she tweaks my heart every time, every song. She said in one of her instagram lives that everyone likes it when she is sad. That's not necessarily true, but her ability to emote songs is second to none and therefore you feel it the most on the ballads. But I'll tell you, Rage which is no longer public was fantastic in its ability to emote anger. Like you said, her ability is to take her emotion and takes you there in her songs because like you said she is there too. You can see this as she creates songs on the fly during some of her instagram lives.
I offer Grace my most sincere and heartfelt compliment: that she is almost--ALMOST--as good as I, myself, would be if I could sing.

Thank you for your commentary on Grace! I'm glad you really seem to get her. I love all her live performances because she really brings the emotions every time! Her beautiful voice has a sobbing quality to it that's very unique. I recommend her song STRAY live at the Slipper Room. Also, her song MOONLIGHT live at the 2017 Billboard Women in Music Awards where she was presented with the Rising Star Award. She wowed the audience, and left them in tears after her unbelievably beautiful acceptance speech.

There are a lot of people who can sing. There are a lot of people who can tell a story when they sing. But today, there are very few that can take you into their story and make you feel what they feels, and that’s very powerful.
Grace made a recent video where she expresses that she doesn't like her past creations anymore. She wants to do other types of new music and being more of herself in her public persona, like most older teens she feels like it's all about the future. In time she will come to appreciate her past as well as her future.
Not exactly recent, though I suppose more recent than this song. Grace said that during a livestream over a year ago. I'm assuming it was just recently brought to your attention though because of the video Grant made. Grace still appreciates some of her older work, especially Moonlight. I don't think she'll ever lose her appreciation for that song. There's also nothing wrong with Grace hoping for people to listen and enjoy what she's currently working on. Every artist is like that and rightly so.
Past as in 12 - 13 is what she specifically said , yet she still has her favorites, the last music festival before the pandemic, she didn't sing IDKMN but I believe she still sang Gossip Girl.
@@chmtopforever2177 She was so proud of Gossip Girl, and it's undeniably a great song, I mean great, I love that song. I'm sure, along with Moonlight, she still loves that song, but who knows, either way, we have her performances recorded, the songs recorded, so, even if she's not fond of them anymore, we still can be. But now, we get to enjoy her new work, and I am so excited for her next drop, doesn't matter what's on it, you can bet it will be great! I hope Need Me Now is on it, I love that one!

My Favorite song by her, and, trust me, there's not one song that I don't love by her, but there is just something about this song!
have not seen her from her gt show... her voice has gotten better... very nice nice to she is making it!
This was from over 2 years ago, when Grace was still only 15. She will be 18 in about 2 weeks, and has another EP on the way. She has released additional new music in the past 2 years and teased a bunch of unreleased music on Instagram (which can be found on UA-cam). Grace also starred in the Disney+ movie Stargirl and just recently finished filming the sequel.
Thank you very much for your heartfelt reaction and delving into Grace's compositional skills, Grace's album named letters volume one were all song compositions created in chronological order of Grace's first Love found, and lost. The city was her ending the relationship with the last note and her screaming crescendo. Be forewarned however if you allow the true spirit of music into your heart, their she will remain forever. You already have a idea in the back of your mind about her song writing, and her melodic phrasing as and you delve into her art, you are going to realize she is the true definition of the biblical phrase a pearl of great price. Her compositional skills at seventeen are already equivalent to upper tier industry song writers twice her age. And what's truly scary she has no zenith in her potential. I believe she is one of a kind, and when all is said and done a generational icon in composition. LOL and with your musical and vocal expertise for more you listen to her original compositions you might just come to a similar conclusion. I only hope that my adoration of her talents is appreciated by all based on the fact that I have heard and loved 60 years of Rock, Pop, Classical, Jazz, Blues et al-and she is great-with the potential to be the best!

Good reaction thanks. The City It's a very good song, by the way, EP Letters, vol.1 I brought a very good work With 6 Intro songs (Gucci shoes). Poser, I Don't Like You , Ur so Beatiful, Waste My tyme and The City, of which mine opinion the main highlight was The City and Ur so Beautiful. In a second moment of her work, with a new direction, bringing compositions a little more mature, but according to the evolutionary process of her age, she brought this masterpiece that is the song The City. Of course, the matrix of her work remains, which is originality, dynamics, creativity, good humor, charisma and that voice that is unmistakable, congratulations and "always success"!!!
I love that she changes up how she performs Ur so Beautiful when she sang it at the The Trevor Project where she was the only performer there... ua-cam.com/video/dy0Qk-VDNVM/v-deo.html and made it more bluesy . So, in fact, she did a cover of her own song. (skip the first 18 seconds to get to the singing).
I appreciate live as well, but to Grace's credit she is heavily involved in the granular details of her own music production, so what you hear in her studio releases - increasingly throughout her catalog - is more reflective of her vision than what you might get from an artist who "hands it off" to a producer after recording.
I agree, and disagree, she is one of the few artists that sound the same live as she does recorded, and in some aspects, there's seriously no difference. I am sure when she performs live, she is capturing her image, because, she okay's the sound that is presented live. but, I can also see your point of view, very well, but either way, she is above and beyond amazing recorded, or live.
Most vocal coaches don't get the genius of Grace.

Thank you so much, that is my absolute favorite song of hers. She has a certain way about her that is just unbelievable. Her voice, her writing, her emotion, and her poise, untouchable. Grace was actually still just a couple months shy of her 14th birthday during this performance. I believe she performed this in early November 2017, and MTV uploaded it in December 2017. Still one of my favorite covers Grace has done 🙂

Another one I like most is her “Today and Tomorrow” at Jimmy Kimmel Live Show, but you can't found it anymore, but you can watch it at many of reactors who have done it last year. She wrote the song on movie-set on "stargirl" at age of 14, where she had the lead role.

Yeah, half Dutch again... But I am not entirely convinced that this is live. Singing and playing in a concrete box will make echoes. I don't hear that. And the drummer seems to play another song.

It's a studio recording room , good mics and perfect acoustics and electronic drums , every thing was recorded threw the mixer , lol . Look up a concert live version recorded with cell phones , the studio and then this live .
