    I have to believe the angel just shows love and we all pick-up on it when ever she opens her mouth, the ability to put all the emotion into the words like Angelina, well to be honest has never been done to the extent that this girl does it.

    I think she has an older audience because people fell in love with the little girl who won Norway's Got Talent. They've watched her/followed her as she has grown. In Norway, it was all very family oriented, her big venues, especially, and Christmas, etc. A lot of younger people just didn't follow. BUT, I see that younger audience tuning in, especially folks into/understanding what it means to have and sing with soul. Anyone younger, who has been in the business enough to recognize talent, sees her for what she is. We will understand a lot, I'm guessing, when her album debuts. I'm shocked at the lack of music history often displayed. But there are musicians who have studied the history around their own music, and they get a lot more. However, many younger reactors are feeling the influence of Angelina's voice. One can even see it on the video---a reactor's face will soften, even beam by the end of the song. I've seen some over time become more genuine, etc. She is growing up---able to offer the courtesies to her band, creative team, friends, etc. Friend, I love just the right amount of music theory. Just saying. Wonderful reaction, Valerie. Grandma Ellen, signing off. 💜

      But there is another factor and that is the expense of getting to Norway for her concerts... lots of older folk near the front as they have the money... further back you see plenty of younger people (probably mostly fairly local I would guess)

    Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice will be 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. Val, I am an older fan and for me, Angelina brings me back to the days when singers merited our appreciation based on their individual talents. The advent of digital technology has allowed, let’s say, lesser talented singers to sound far better than they do in a live setting. Most of the current pop and or top forty music is devoid of real and legitimate musicianship too.

      I've heard the same thing. However, we also know that she's had some training at Oslo's music academy for children. With some of her videos, it's apparent she's had some.

    • @pietersbart
      @pietersbart Рік тому +12

      It is not true that she never had any vocal training. In the edition of ‘A Magisinet’ of the 22nd december 2017, she is on a picture with her vocal teacher. It says this: ‘Angelina Jordan tar vokaltimer, men ikke for å skolere stemmen i særlig grad. teamet rundt henne frykter at særpregregret i stemmen skal bli borte. her øver angelina med læreren linn larsen, og glamouren er langt unna.’ Which according to Google Translates means this: ‘Angelina Jordan takes vocal lessons, but not to train her voice to any great extent. the team around her fears that the distinctive character in her voice will be lost. here Angelina practices with the teacher Linn Larsen, and the glamor is far away.’ Additionally a vocal teacher can be seen on older video’s who also came to her concerts. With regard to her black and white version of I Put A Spell On You, it is said that her vocal teachers advised against using her voice like that.
      Here comes my conjecture, I would imagine that the vocal teachers do one or two things: coaching her on healthy singing techniques to prevent her from damaging her voice. Something that apparently Adele suffered a lot from. I say apparently, since I did not research it in great detail. Angelina’s family seems very level headed, and it makes sense to me that they would ensure that she wouldn’t damage her voice. The second thing might be helping reach specific goals. I have the impression from her latests concerts that her upper range has increased and she did quite a bit of beautiful high pitched singing. Again the exact the purpose of the vocal training is conjecture. It is not conjecture however that she did have vocal coaching :-)

Actually, if you look at most of the videos from the three concerts in Norway this year it is clear that a number of younger people attended. Even young people can appreciate Angelina Jordan, she does not need purple hair, a lightshow, backup dancers, fireworks, or even a band, all she need is one or two instrument to make us realize how great she is.

She sings songs and styles that cover a lifetime and appreciation of that comes more easily for those of us who have lived it. Of course, there are many who have been exposed to or who have sought out that exposure or are just broad minded enough to appreciate it anyway but that is less common. And then there is the lack of rebellion in what she does ... not gonna pick up the kids trying to plot a unique path into the world, at least not yet. The 2018 Kongsberg jazz festival concert was fantastic, and about half of it (9 songs) is available as professionally audio recording. A fan added slide shows or other video footage to it. There are further 3 videos available recorded from the audiance, and another 4 from the stage rehearsal, though with varying audio quality. You find them in this playlists: ua-cam.com/play/PLddfS789jBCrm_bs-U3ooU0Q91uhOMA79.html

Older music lovers know those songs and appreciate real vocal talent more than some less sophisticated younger listeners. Also, she does not try to fit in with the flash and trash styles so popular today. She is maturing nicely and continuing to expand her vocal abilities. I anxiously await her official entry into the music world.

Although I haven't deliberately tried to search our people reacting to both Amira and Angelina you are the first one I have actually recognised. I am not a fan of jazz but Angelina is changing my mind rapidly. Hearing her sing Fly Me to THE Moon aged 8 and How Great Thou Art aged 12 is absolutely jaw dropping. There seems to be a lot more Angelina than Amira on UA-cam but they are both astonishingly good. Amira is going on a world tour so I hope we will see and hear a lot more of her in 2023. Apologies if you have heard of her but just in case you haven't, there is another exceptional Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjebo who has lots of songs on UA-cam. She does a mean O Mio Babbino Caro, a great version of Summertime, a wonderful duet with Jose Carrreras, Quando Sento Chi Mi Ami and a lovely song called Going Home. Wow! Another great singer from Norway. Her voice has really matured in just a short time from the previous vid I saw of a younger her.
    I request a react to another Norwegian you are familiar with. Sissel. I've showed this to others and tried to explain the raw talent coupled with years of vocal and breath coaching to make this seem easy but they never seem to 'get it'. You should listen to another norwegian singer from the middle of Norway. His name is Leif Terje Nilsen. He had a lead role in a musical based on a true story about a tre years old girl that was catch by en eagle at Leka n 1932, and found on a mountain clip 5 hours later. His father heard she was found, but thought she was dead. So when the rescue-team came with his dauther and she was alive, he felt on his knees and sing this song ("Et under" in Norwegian, means a miacle). Leif Terje Nilsen has a beatiful voice. All pictures in this video is from Leka, where it all happen in 1932.

    I have been following Angelina since she was 8, and she's still just amazing.
    Please react to the greatest jazz singer to come along in decades. As a jazz pianist, I have seen many who have a great voice but few with an authentic sound. Her name is Samara Joy. 23 her old phenom. ua-cam.com/video/aO9n7ZlKiV4/v-deo.html

      Still trolling along, Jim Jack, Jjack190, Deb1404? Again, you fail to recognize the many numerous young reactors bringing their friends and family members to listen and become fans of her. And at her concerts, there were plenty of young fans there, but you wouldn't know that because you weren't there! Valerie was quite right when she said Angelina put on a masterclass in this performance! That's right, an intelligent vocal coach as well as many others have said you can learn what to do right just by watching her sing! Poor pathetic troll, trying to spread nonsense like the little boy who cried wolf! Again, thanks for adding yourself to her UA-cam algorithm! LOL 🤣🤣🤣

      Not a fan of Aurora and her songs, but she is a one-girl-musical performer on stage, her concert videos are more passionate than her music videos. She excites to work the crowd more than in front of only the carema crew and staffs.
