you prefer this than the default FSR 3 In Game FrameGen, for example in CP2077? I know that you need a higher base FPS for AFMF2 to be smooth, but for the same power, I could also use Loseless Scaling at 1000 or 1200p with 36x2 = 72fps which would yeild the same (maybe even better) smoothness no? Just wondering if you think the 800p with AFMF2 is the best among the 3?
Thank you for all of your videos, you've really helped me get the most out of this device. Do you find much change in setting the OS Power Mode differently per game? I've noticed you change it, I'm guessing that is based on testing and the games in each video are dependent (like you mention with Auto VRAM), but just curious.
Sometimes, when I test it before recording, I feel that AFMF2 is power-hungry and needs to consume more power to make the game run smoother, so I turn on Performance Mode in Legion Space. If I feel the game runs smoothly enough, I leave it in Efficiency Mode. Currently, I always set the CPU boost to Efficiency Aggressive, as long as my temperature doesn’t exceed 81 or 82°C.
@T-PEN Awesome thank you for the explanation! I'll take that into consideration and check out the Efficiency Aggressive. Edit: That did the trick in Jedi Survivor. No more hitching, thank you!
Awesome vid bro as always. I have the preview drivers atm and do you think I should change over to these? Last week, I installed version 2 of the AMD Preview drivers which fixed GOW Ragnarok also. Just curious to know what would be the best option to run…. Cheers again
It’s taking away the frame gen lag but in my experience many games are not substantially effected by frame rate lag tbh. But it’s definitely removing it nonetheless. There are still some very impressive things tho that you can do with 4x frame gen from lossless scaling that you can’t do with 2x frame gen from AMD, even tho it lessons the lag. So it’s somewhat circumstance related to me. I have found that you can run games at 20 fps with lossless scaling likely if you have enough RAM to do it & then you can do some crazy thins with settings like run Dead Space remake at ultra settings with rac tracing on. But Art of Rally & Dirt Rally are way more playable with AMD getting rid of the lag.
How has it been in your testing with it being set to quality instead of performance? Which do you prefer? Thanks again for these videos. You brought my go back to life.
Most of these settings can reach around 100 FPS, which is sufficient for me to prioritize quality over performance in AFMF2. I don’t need more FPS; I need better frame-generation quality. This mode prioritizes improved frame-generation quality, which is particularly beneficial during fast-motion scenes in games. It will result in smoother visuals.
Ive noticed that AFMF 2 introduces a really weird ghosting as well as huge latency. Ive tried this in Cyberpunk as well as Elden Ring. Also are we still having to sideload this? If so, is there an official way we can download this to our device?
Wouldn't it be better to post more guide video about how to stabilize afmf2 in landscape screens than similar gameplay videos from past videos ? Mine is just a thought, most of us are still struggling to get decent experience with sideloaded amd drivers
Windows 24H2 has become official now. I’m waiting for it to roll out on my device before doing a full optimization for AFMF2. If I do it now on Windows 23H2, it will become useless in a few days since everyone will get 24H2.
Hi Quick Question With AFMF2, will make palworld gameplay better? I order a legion go today and i saw this gameplay i wondering if palworld run on Windows better or if i had to install bazzite
Which GPU driver do i need to download now? I did the DUD and installed a new driver but only got 60 fps on wukong but you were getting 70 - 90 fps. Wth?
@@T-PENin game true, but why do you run windows 800p mode? I think that you can easily run windows in 2k and the game in full screen mode 800p…am I wrong?
If you set the window to 1600P and the in-game resolution to 800P, you will lose 20%-30% performance compared to setting the window to 800P and the in-game resolution to 800P.
RSR is not useless; it will scale the image from 800P to 1600P by using some performance. If your game averages 60 FPS, using RSR will drop it to 52 or 53 FPS. Even when you set the resolution to 800P, when you go to advanced display settings, you will see the display resolution as 800P and the active signal as 1600P. RSR will detect the active signal and scale up to that resolution.
Did you tell people to TURN OFF XBOX Game Bar and Capture screen? I just turned it off with regedit and it DRASTICALLY fixed my stutters, afmf2 and boosted fps overall.
@@T-PEN Man, I just installed 24.9.1 and it's running Hogwarts with FPS varying between 40 and 47 running on low! I played with the 24.20.11.01 configuration playing on high with FPS between 80 and 87.

Can someone help me: my Adrenalin drivers are somehow olways return to older Lenovo version sometime after manual installation of 24.9.1. Why? How to prevent it from rolling back?
Is there a different way to update the driver I can’t select option 4 on the screen because I get a black screen with white text saying to select but the on screen keyboard doesn’t have arrow keys to select safe mode any help with that thank you.
There may be some features on your device that interfere with frame generation, causing it to behave that way. I haven’t experienced this issue; even when moving quickly in-game, frame generation remains enabled, and I still maintain stable FPS.
100% works .. tweaked setting of all my games to perfection. This is absolute game changer for handhelds . Thanks 🙏 for the video
How do you bring up the AMD software before you start each game? And why?
What is the shortcut to check from AMD its active with that green mark or not ?
thank you for this. i almost return may legion go.
Why? Oo
Even without afmf2 it's incredible with RSR!
Yeah lol game still running better without AFMF2 lol !

How are you only using 3gb of ram on idle? Mine always sits at 5/6gb and I have nearly everything switched off
This legion go is amazing 😊
Hi. Can you share display settings on adrenaline display? Thanks for the updates.

Ff16 finaly its working on my go. R7ns niceee.
Dont use rsr or filters, only use fg and afmf
When updating from the experimental drivers (24.8.1) can I just update over the old drivers or do I need to use DDU?
Using DDU for more stable performance!

Bazzite makes 5fps better …
@T-PEN do have any settings for NBA 2k25 and madden 25?
800p on Legion go? no thanks, but nice and detailed video. Thank you
Best option with jedi survivor?
So wait I’m confused are these not from the legion space?
This does not download the latest it doenloads but doesnt work? Do you have tutorial? Say oops something went wrong amd is not supported?
Can I run this game on 1080p resolution and frames? 60Activate all game counters

I like your videos.
Question: why do you always choose 1280x800@144Hz in windows?
I always use 800P resolution to achieve higher base FPS. The higher the base FPS, the better the performance of AFMF2.

Could you make video with assassin's Creed franchise ? Best settings?

Yes, it’s so much better.

how are you keeping all the system resolutions after installing these drivers
I used DDU.
Fanthedeck and nerdnest are so whack.
Thank you for supporting the legion go the way you do.
Cpu in what mode efficint agressive?
Yes, it’s efficient aggressive.
Will this work with OneXGpu?
So auto vram is new way to go ??? Also amfm 2 set to quality not to performance??
Auto VRAM has been the way to go from my testing. Don’t just listen to what people say online. Do what you feel is better

Can you please do something really cutting edge like Forever Winter?
I’ve received many requests for new games, but I’m currently very busy. Once I have more time, I will download additional new games.
How can I get the green check mark activated alert?
Does cod mw3 run better like this ?
Do u really think this is better than the preview driver or about the same?
No. It's from the AMD site. Usually will take months for legion to actually provide this to legion space
Can you show Resident Evil 4 on the new driver?
I will show it soon.
Can someone help me: my Adrenalin drivers are somehow olways return to older Lenovo version sometime after manual installation of 24.9.1. Why? How to prevent it from rolling back?
Pause windows update or Roll back you driver with Device manager
How do you update it or is it a fresh install again.
You can check out a link in the description to a video on how I install it. It’s a fresh installation again.
Wait afm2 is official now? Where can we download
You can check out the description, I have put links there.

You can use an external keyboard and the arrow keys to select Safe Mode, which will take you to Windows Safe Mode.
@@T-PEN thank you I’ll try it.
I can’t get the screen that’s sideways to show the green check mark
Same bro i don’t know what he clicks to turn it on
Tis ALT+R. You need to assign the backpedals to it in Legion Space.
have to go to settings in Adrenaline and it’s an option to enable performance metrics
Does AMF2 work on all games?
The 24.9.1 update has expanded compatibility, allowing many games, both new and old, to work with AFMF2.
You should try different games
Is it as smooth as FSR?
It’s smoother than in-game FSR. You can also use AFMF2 with FSR, which will make the game even smoother.
