In my opinion, there is a difference between Pinxtos and tapas. Tapas are generally smaller and less elaborate. Tapas are sometimes free with the drink and are designed to fit on top (tapar) a glass. Pintxos aren't free in most places I've been. If you were drinking sidra or xacoli the reason why it wasn't carbonated because you have to have it poured from 1 meter or so and drink it immediately. The aeration is what makes it refreshing and gives the bubbles.
Dari, you scratched off your bucket list with the beautiful sights, cultural significance and food of the Basque Country. A pity if tourists miss it! It has so much to offer and people who only visit central Spain and Barcelona aren’t appreciating everything there is to discover there. Thanks for the video and take care, remain safe and be blessed! 😊
Basque Country has 7 provinces: 4 under Spain and 3 under France, so our different citizenships don't represent because they don't define as we are, Basque, our soul.
Another awesome video, Dari! I’m really impressed by the way the people of the Bilbao area have transformed their industrial city into a beautiful, vibrant place to live and visit.
I love this beautiful video!! Basque country is so very beautiful. This is the most I have ever seen of it, and I am very impressed. The food certainly looks very tasty, too. Thank you for this wonderful treat!!
Wow! That setting looks just like the Game of Throne’s last season, I can’t see a damn thing that’s going. I’ve always wanted to visit Spain’s Basque country. You post confirms that I must go in the near future! Thank you and keep up the good work.
That was a great watch Dari. Really enjoyed the foggy landscape and those walled steps from the TV show. Your idea to interview locals was also great as you picked some nice people to chat to. Great new style!
Basque country and Bilbao area are really beautiful. It seems that it is definitely worth visiting there for a few days. The street interviews were very interesting, good job. The site of Game of Thrones looked so atmospheric in the fog, actually it looked so similar that way with the scene you showed from the series. Thanks for this interesting video Dari.
0:51 there is a project going on for the next years that they will be covering all the train tracks and put big park, new modern design buildings and apartments above it 🤩💯
What a great travel video Dari! I think all of the areas in the North of Spain that you showed us looked absolutely great and all of them deserve a visit when one visits Spain. The fog was absolutely atmospheric. Really thoroughly enjoyed this video Dari and thank you for bringing it to us 😊
Thanks for sharing this part of the world with your viewers!!!❤️❤️❤️ I completely understand getting emotional when seeing other people's pets while traveling, and yours are so far away at home.💙💙💙
The episodes in Spain with the distinct regions have made for some good episodes. Love the drone shots they give a feel for the larger environment. The interviews went well and I'm hoping they become a regular feature in the videos even if they can't all make the final cut due to their hit or miss nature. 👍
I am Basque. Thank you for your vídeo. I have spent many summers in Zumaia...My mother loved it. These three towns are very special to me. I am ill and cant do much nowadays. I miss all these places so much. I liked it so much in Zumaia because eberybody spoke Basque. In every shop, cafe ,in the streets..I also love the smell of Zumaia. It smells of grass, countryside mixed with the salty and fresh air of a coastal town. I used to go for long walks with my dog Lagun. Lagun is the Basque word for friend. Some 15 years ago Zumaia wasnt widely known. I always said it was a treasure to be discovered. And Bilbao,San Sebastián...I know them like the palm of ny hand, specially San Sebastián as I worked there for 10 years. Until I became ill. I suggest taking the tube in Bilbao and go to the coast: Getxo, Sopelana, Algorta (Getxo jazz festival in July, the cervecerias in summer). I am not saying Euskadi is the best place in the world. It's the best in the world for me. The world is so big and beautiful... As for the North of Spain, I love Asturias and Galicia. The landscape is superb. I went there on holidays and they blew out my mind. The coast there is wild, Finis Terre was the end of the world once. Its as frigtening fierce as delicious and quiet and quaint and also lively but not annoying... Everything is so green. Great places, two diamonds. Thank you for your video. It brought me so many good memories...I am glad you enjoyed your time among us so much. I only hope too much tourism dont spoil it all. I hope I wont be there to see it. I would ask tourists to please be respecful and my goverment to handle it the best way possible. Thank you so much for being so kind and for your I ❤️ Euskadi video. I appreciate it so much. Cheers.
Thanks for showing us around Dari some beautiful towns around there and interesting to hearing what the locals have to say, good idea interviewing them, hope your keeping well, another interesting video take care and safe travels
It is a very good travel thread. You had good photography and gave a sense of each City. Most of all you were a authentic and honest about what you like and what you didn't. That's unusual and you should definitely keep doing it.
It continues to amaze me how many beautiful places and cities there are in the world that many people never hear about. I never knew a city called Bilbao existed. I had to laugh when you tasted that white wine. At times one does not need to use words to describe something; your facial expression tells it all! That sandwich looked scrumptious. Watching you walk along that old wall where the Game of Thrones was filmed was amazing. The drone shots were very nice. Those small towns of Zumaia and Getaria and San Sebastian were charming. Another video well done!
Que hay en este video que te recordar a España? El País Vasco es muy diferente a España y no solo por el idioma o la cultura. La propia sociedad es distinta. No voy a decir q sea mejor o peor, pero sí diferente.

You did a great job for impromptu street interviews 👏🏻 and I also really like your direct and honest opinions. If you like something, or don't like it, you're genuine about it! The Basque Country looks amazing: scenic and green! Really well done, as usual. 👏🏻

I love the program. Such a beautiful place, and I would love to taste the food. My family imagrated from the Netherlands to the USA.in the fifties, I spoke Dutch as a child but have lost it. Preserving and speaking the language of your heritage is important. Like other immigrants, our family was a victim of language shaming. I felt foolish when my long past away father and I went to the Netherlands in 1991. I could barely pick a little here and there.
Stumbled onto this video by accident, was exploring TDF Stage 1 Starts in Bilbao and ends in Bilbao. This stage will be strenuous due to the many hills that this region has. Oooh Basque - I've always wondered about that part of Spain The countryside views look amazing - without fog 😁 Great interviews, very interesting. Always good to know how the locals see their part of the world. Food and weather😂😂 That museum looks like a wonderful attraction Great tour video Thanks Dari 👋😁
Fantastic video Dari..... I liked the interviews with the locals.... They can help you find the best places to visit... I used to drive to the South of Spain Many Many times and often drove through this area, but only using the Motorways.... The scenery is amazing, but from the Motorway it did look very Industrial..... I wish I had had time to see more..... Keep up the good work Dari.... :-))) xxxx

This was a fantastically done video. My sister and I are planning a trip to see the Basque country specifically, in part because we have ancestry who were Basque. Also I lived your humor with that foggy view. It was a clever joke 😂
I think I'll skip Paris and spend that time in Basque country, it seems far more relaxing, food looks fantastic and I understand more spanish than french.
Really good to get the opinions of locals about their unique Basque culture. Great stuff. So much to explore here - the symbology on the old architecture looks really amazing and different to most other Euro cities. The street trees give off a kind of gothic effect. Very fitting to have the House of the Dragon filmed within this super ancient culture. Pretty rugged and amazing coastline as well. Thank You for the insights. Yet another major destination I want to explore and live in for a while - I would spend a lot more time than a day in these Basque towns and cities.
Another well crafted, well paced vlog, Dari! I'm so glad that you tried your hand at street interviews again. I enjoy the local perspective of the regional sites to visit, their history, culture, and food/drink. Hopefully, when you get more comfortable with talking to complete strangers, you will be able to have a larger cross section of interviewees. It will come in time. Practice, practice. 😁 Even though the rock pathways on the Spanish bluffs were shrouded in mist and fog from the sea, it made the place feel more magical and mysterious. Actually, I'm glad you got to experience it this way, Dari. Now you have an excuse to return when the area is more sunny. Bilbao seems nicer because it isn't quite so touristy and busy/crowded, which I don't like as much. I enjoy a slower pace when traveling. If I want a crush of people and the "joy" of waiting in long lines for attractions, I will go to a Disney theme park. LOL! All in all, the coastal towns of the Basque country look amazing! I miss the coast and the ocean so much! You are lucky to be experiencing the world and all that it has to offer.
Oh my goodness seeing you standing in the fog brought back a vivid memory of travelling by car from Carmel California down the Pacific coast highway called “ Big Sur”. That morning thick fog stopped us from seeing farther than a couple hundred feet of road in front of us. Apparently we should have left closer to noon when the fog starts to lift and you can actually SEE the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean and the coastline. Isn’t is frustrating when you have travelled far from home to visit a certain area of the world and bad weather screws up your trip, but you are not able to return the next day for a “re-do”, because you are travelling to a different location. Our family have had absolutely crazy experiences with car rental breakdowns, a big camper breakdown in the Rockies , a ferry strike while on PEI ( Prince Edward Island) in Maritime Canada, bad fog on The Cabot Trail in Cape Breton,Nova Scotia ,Canada, then a car tire catching on fire while travelling The Ring Of Kerry in Ireland. And Cameras breaking, and having no photos or movie clips of a university graduation , or a big World Boy Scout Jamboree in Alberta. Oh my god there were so weird things that happened to our family while on various holidays , so seeing you in the fog made me say right out loud “;Oh NO”, not fog! poor Dasha . I’ve been following you for the last 2 years and see so much growth in your UA-cam videos. Keep up the great work.
The camino de Santiago costal route passes along the coast there. It is much less popular than the French route so sometimes people confuse the "pilgrims" with homeless people.
Maybe you saw some yellow arrows, they are the waymarkers. I got crampons for my trip to corsica's GR20 hoping I wont need them, heavy and if there is still snow I will need more clothes.
Great video including the street interviews, food and wine tasting 😊 I did travel twice along the northern coast of Spain and may go back there again in summer, when the weather is fine. You should visit Cape Finisterre near La Coruna. It's the western end of the Eurasian continent. The eastern end is opposite Alaska on the Bering Strait 😉 This trip may take some time, but you can do it 😍
This is really awesome, Dari! Thank you. Good food, seemingly friendly people, and beautiful (if a bit dangerous) views. Great job with your interviews. As someone who doesn't do well in public, asking perfect strangers random questions sounds like a nightmare to me. 😅 Kudos for actually doing it. 👍
If i'm not wrong, Basque Country is one of the most wealthiest regions of Spain. Other interesting thing i know about this region, that is not the Language (one of the mysterious in the Europe and the world) and particularly about its people is that they have the biggest proportion of individuals with O negative blood type.
In my opinion, there is a difference between Pinxtos and tapas. Tapas are generally smaller and less elaborate. Tapas are sometimes free with the drink and are designed to fit on top (tapar) a glass. Spain?? buy a compass, ignorant
If Ireland would have a child with Spain it would look like Basque Country 😆
It is because Basque Country has a lot of Celtic influence
There was a group of Celts that lived in Spain we now refer to as the Celtiberians. You can see the influence in Galicia, which you can see shares its named with Gaelic.
Spain + Italy = Argentina
More like Galicia than the Basque Country.

Hey thank you for the video
Fantastic video well edited.
Thank you very much!
Dasha, thank you for your honest videos from your side of the world. 🍻
My pleasure 😇
Great video including the street interviews, food and wine tasting 😊
I did travel twice along the northern coast of Spain and may go back there again in summer, when the weather is fine. You should visit Cape Finisterre near La Coruna. It's the western end of the Eurasian continent. The eastern end is opposite Alaska on the Bering Strait 😉 This trip may take some time, but you can do it 😍
Thanks for recommendation ☺️
Basque country looks a lot like County Cork in Ireland. Beautiful scenery and no people.
It did reminded me of Ireland 🇮🇪
Muy buén video...Gracias por presentarlo...Saludos desde EE.UU.
And there exist the frech basc contry too same that in Catalonia
This is really awesome, Dari! Thank you. Good food, seemingly friendly people, and beautiful (if a bit dangerous) views. Great job with your interviews. As someone who doesn't do well in public, asking perfect strangers random questions sounds like a nightmare to me. 😅 Kudos for actually doing it. 👍
Thanks!
Thank you Dari very good video
Nicely done indeed! 👏
Thanks!
Great videos Dari.
I loved this!
You appear in zumaia at the beginning. Did you know that this place is Dragonstone´s beach, did not you?
In the US a Mini burger is called a "slider".
If i'm not wrong, Basque Country is one of the most wealthiest regions of Spain.
Other interesting thing i know about this region, that is not the Language (one of the mysterious in the Europe and the world) and particularly about its people is that they have the biggest proportion of individuals with O negative blood type.
"Jon Snow? Where are you, boy?" 😂 That made me laugh 😊 Another great video - thank you
Ahaha thanks!
@@DariStep De nada, y muchas gracias de Inglaterra :)
