Dari, you scratched off your bucket list with the beautiful sights, cultural significance and food of the Basque Country. A pity if tourists miss it! It has so much to offer and people who only visit central Spain and Barcelona aren’t appreciating everything there is to discover there. Thanks for the video and take care, remain safe and be blessed! 😊
Basque Country has 7 provinces: 4 under Spain and 3 under France, so our different citizenships don't represent because they don't define as we are, Basque, our soul.
There was a group of Celts that lived in Spain we now refer to as the Celtiberians. You can see the influence in Galicia, which you can see shares its named with Gaelic.
Another awesome video, Dari! I’m really impressed by the way the people of the Bilbao area have transformed their industrial city into a beautiful, vibrant place to live and visit.
Basque country and Bilbao area are really beautiful. It seems that it is definitely worth visiting there for a few days. The street interviews were very interesting, good job. The site of Game of Thrones looked so atmospheric in the fog, actually it looked so similar that way with the scene you showed from the series. Thanks for this interesting video Dari.
What a great travel video Dari! I think all of the areas in the North of Spain that you showed us looked absolutely great and all of them deserve a visit when one visits Spain. The fog was absolutely atmospheric. Really thoroughly enjoyed this video Dari and thank you for bringing it to us 😊
Really good to get the opinions of locals about their unique Basque culture. Great stuff. So much to explore here - the symbology on the old architecture looks really amazing and different to most other Euro cities. The street trees give off a kind of gothic effect. Very fitting to have the House of the Dragon filmed within this super ancient culture. Pretty rugged and amazing coastline as well. Thank You for the insights. Yet another major destination I want to explore and live in for a while - I would spend a lot more time than a day in these Basque towns and cities.
I love this beautiful video!! Basque country is so very beautiful. This is the most I have ever seen of it, and I am very impressed. The food certainly looks very tasty, too. Thank you for this wonderful treat!!
It continues to amaze me how many beautiful places and cities there are in the world that many people never hear about. I never knew a city called Bilbao existed. I had to laugh when you tasted that white wine. At times one does not need to use words to describe something; your facial expression tells it all! That sandwich looked scrumptious. Watching you walk along that old wall where the Game of Thrones was filmed was amazing. The drone shots were very nice. Those small towns of Zumaia and Getaria and San Sebastian were charming. Another video well done!
The episodes in Spain with the distinct regions have made for some good episodes. Love the drone shots they give a feel for the larger environment. The interviews went well and I'm hoping they become a regular feature in the videos even if they can't all make the final cut due to their hit or miss nature. 👍
Thanks for showing us around Dari some beautiful towns around there and interesting to hearing what the locals have to say, good idea interviewing them, hope your keeping well, another interesting video take care and safe travels
Dari, I so enjoyed your visit to the Basque Country, which is one of my favorite places. Watching your video brought back a 'Ton of Good Memories'. And I agree. If one travels to Spain, the Basque Country in the north is an unforgettable experience! 😆👍👍
and most people just travel through this area without exploring it to get to the South and South East, what a shame its so beautiful thanks Dari great work as usual...
Oooh Basque - I've always wondered about that part of Spain The countryside views look amazing - without fog 😁 Great interviews, very interesting. Always good to know how the locals see their part of the world. Food and weather😂😂 That museum looks like a wonderful attraction Great tour video Thanks Dari 👋😁
This was a fantastically done video. My sister and I are planning a trip to see the Basque country specifically, in part because we have ancestry who were Basque. Also I lived your humor with that foggy view. It was a clever joke 😂
I love the program. Such a beautiful place, and I would love to taste the food. My family imagrated from the Netherlands to the USA.in the fifties, I spoke Dutch as a child but have lost it. Preserving and speaking the language of your heritage is important. Like other immigrants, our family was a victim of language shaming. I felt foolish when my long past away father and I went to the Netherlands in 1991. I could barely pick a little here and there.
Another well crafted, well paced vlog, Dari! I'm so glad that you tried your hand at street interviews again. I enjoy the local perspective of the regional sites to visit, their history, culture, and food/drink. Hopefully, when you get more comfortable with talking to complete strangers, you will be able to have a larger cross section of interviewees. It will come in time. Practice, practice. 😁 Even though the rock pathways on the Spanish bluffs were shrouded in mist and fog from the sea, it made the place feel more magical and mysterious. Actually, I'm glad you got to experience it this way, Dari. Now you have an excuse to return when the area is more sunny. Bilbao seems nicer because it isn't quite so touristy and busy/crowded, which I don't like as much. I enjoy a slower pace when traveling. If I want a crush of people and the "joy" of waiting in long lines for attractions, I will go to a Disney theme park. LOL! All in all, the coastal towns of the Basque country look amazing! I miss the coast and the ocean so much! You are lucky to be experiencing the world and all that it has to offer.
Oh my goodness seeing you standing in the fog brought back a vivid memory of travelling by car from Carmel California down the Pacific coast highway called “ Big Sur”. That morning thick fog stopped us from seeing farther than a couple hundred feet of road in front of us. Apparently we should have left closer to noon when the fog starts to lift and you can actually SEE the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean and the coastline. Isn’t is frustrating when you have travelled far from home to visit a certain area of the world and bad weather screws up your trip, but you are not able to return the next day for a “re-do”, because you are travelling to a different location. Our family have had absolutely crazy experiences with car rental breakdowns, a big camper breakdown in the Rockies , a ferry strike while on PEI ( Prince Edward Island) in Maritime Canada, bad fog on The Cabot Trail in Cape Breton,Nova Scotia ,Canada, then a car tire catching on fire while travelling The Ring Of Kerry in Ireland. And Cameras breaking, and having no photos or movie clips of a university graduation , or a big World Boy Scout Jamboree in Alberta. Oh my god there were so weird things that happened to our family while on various holidays , so seeing you in the fog made me say right out loud “;Oh NO”, not fog! poor Dasha . I’ve been following you for the last 2 years and see so much growth in your UA-cam videos. Keep up the great work.
I think I'll skip Paris and spend that time in Basque country, it seems far more relaxing, food looks fantastic and I understand more spanish than french.

Great video including the street interviews, food and wine tasting 😊 I did travel twice along the northern coast of Spain and may go back there again in summer, when the weather is fine.
