Overall, I still enjoyed gears 4 & 5. But man, I just couldn’t get with some writing/story choices. Looking forward to seeing how Kait’s story wraps up in a eventually gears 6 tho!

There are definitely characters in the Hivebusters DLC that will most likely play a role in Gears 6. Definitely thinking of a very young character they introduce that has family ties to the OG squad. Plus there's lore that would fill in more of the universe you were looking for.
Fun fact: There's a side easter egg where you have a memorial at the Tomb of the Unknowns for all the fallen COG soldiers. It features all of the fallen characters from 1-3, Kim to Tai and many others. I completed it myself on my second playthrough, but it's probabt better to just watch others complete it
I could not take Marcus's only son. Jack's death was the saddest for me...lil bot was mvp for me😢I've been playing the series since 2006...1-3 was peak😃that you decide who dies at the end was a stupid decision by the developers. Of course people die in Gears but not as a result of a decision🤨
Gears 4 and 5 are hot dewdew ngl, the story was solid during the first 3 but there shouldn’t have been anything after..they slowly stopped having a great team dynamic like marcus, dom, baird and cole had.
I think the main problem is that, at the time G5 came out, a lot of game devs were getting greedy. There certainly was alot of love and effort put into the campaign, but most of the studios' focus went into the multilayer and store- trying to sell players as much cosmetics as they could to make up for a 'bad game. Hopefully, with E-Day, revisiting all the old Lore and environments, might re-kindle the coalitions' love for the masterpiece of a game series they've made. And. Hopefully, when G6 comes along, they translate that into a great story that knocks G5 AND G4 out of the park.
This is why Im speculating theyre teasing their deaths to replace them with Kait, JD and Fahz to lighten their sudden deaths later. Also youre basically playing the same gears of war trilogy just mashed in together.

7:05 Del was basically Marcus’s second son, he was JD’s childhood friend and he was an orphan so Marcus took del in and raised em along with JD

I think now you can see why people are more excited for E-DAY than getting GOW 6, 4 and 5 were okay but the first trilogy era just hit different
