All of the comparisons between Byron and Magneto led me to this twisted thought: put this story through a distorting crystal, and you get Baltar and his coven in the final season of Battlestar Galactica.
If Emily dislikes the portrayal of President Sheridan so much, I recommend that she watch an episode from the sixth season of The Outer Limits called “Decompression” which stars Bruce Boxleitner as a self-righteous presidential candidate. I suspect she would really appreciate his character arc in that story. 🤫

Scott, I disagree with you (and others) thinking that Lockley takes better charge than Ivanova. The two ladies were in completely different roles. Ivanova was the second in command within the same military chain to both Sinclair and Sheridan. Lochley was the commanding officer on B5, and Sheridan was not really in charge of her for station operations. Those are two unique positions. Had Ivanova simply went her own way around Sinclair or Sheridan she might be court-martialed, unless it was one of those situations where they agreed to back her decisions. Sheridan is not in direct command of Lochley, so she can disobey him and go her own way as long as EF allows it.
That being said, I could definitely see, and enjoy, having both Ivanova and Lochley teaming up for missions. I still think Ivanova is the better officer, but I can also see how Lochley is a great character as well. Much the same as Sheridan and Sinclair were different.

Yeah, pre-Vorlon, Lyta was not much for Bester to care about... but now, ever since the block out at Za'ha'dum, she is likely a lot more powerful than Bester. But Bester has always wanted to improve telepaths, so in the long run, he definitely follows Lyta's reports and reports on her. Bester may be able to block her though, just like she was able to block him even before her abilities showed themselves in "Thirdspace". But Lyta knows she is more powerful from that point on.
I do find it funny that everyone on the Podcast seems to not want to forgive Londo, but has forgiven Delenn. I think they forget that she was the deciding factor in the Earth-Minbari War. As a reminder, the Narn were not innocent either, and before Londo had his connection to the Shadow fleet, the Narn had taken it under their belt to wipe out the Centauri. Not without cause, of course. But, when the Centauri return the favor, Londo get's blamed for it. I can understand keeping him accountable, but then so should Delenn. How many humans did the Minbari wipe out, basically at Delenn's hands (indirectly, of course)? Just saying... 😉 Granted, the human EF captain that ordered the first shots when he got scared certainly is not without blame as well... but Delenn should still be held accountable.
The only real difference between Londo and Delenn is their motivations. Delenn (like most Minbari) was arrogant and then in a blind rage driving her to sanction the war. Londo started with grief, pride in the Centauri, and then devolved into greed and power. Delenn wasn't really looking for greed or power, but you still have a lot of lives that were lost (on both sides) because of her blind rage. And let's also not forget that Londo was not the driving force on all of it... as Lord Reefa pressed the accelerator on that war. As Delenn put it to G'kar, G'kar made his own situation worse by stating how the Narn should exterminate the Centauri, and that that was the only way. Fortunately, both G'Kar and Delenn started some form of repenting for their actions first... and Londo took a little longer to come around.
SPOILERS:
I would be interested to see how Lochley would have done had she actually personally faced Sheridan or Ivanova in a fight. I don't want any of them killed, but I am not sure she is would have necessarily won either. Or perhaps starfury to starfury. Fortunately, I do think they both have tactical and skills that make them formidable... much like Sheridan and Sinclair brought different skills to the table and are both tactical and skilled warriors.
Also, there is one more episode coming that would make anyone that hasn't grown to like Lochley yet actually will. 😁
