The episode that had to have all the legal wrangling to get made was Passing Through Gethsemane. It was supposed to be in season 2 originally. The usenet post that caused the issue was after The Quality of Mercy aired, that was the first ep where mindwiping was mentioned.

On the subject of telepathic shark jumping (spoilers)

Most of the telepaths we have spent time with are P5's (I'm not counting post Vorlon modification Lyta, because even she isn't sure at this point what she's capable of), apart from Bester, and he wouldn't show more of his power than he needs to. Byron is, in his own words "a strong P12", as strong as an unmodified telepath gets, and he is unfettered by psi-corp rules, and has his own unique interpretation of morality when it comes to the use of his ability. I don't think him being both willing and able to do things we haven't seen other telepaths do is that much of a stretch.
Also, we will find out that he was a starfury pilot himself. He may not actually have been showing Bo directly what was going on outside, he may just have been using his own knowledge and memories to show him what it's *like* to be one.
Edit: also "is he talking to a bug?". Yes. Yes he is.
Edit 2: and now ive got to Scott's response. Yup, pretty much.
Edit 3: and now ive got to beyond the rim and youve pretty much covered everything ive said.😂 I should probably listen to the whole ep before commenting, but id forget what i wanted to say.

I had no idea there was so much argument over the Ivanova rumour line. It never came off as a dig at Claudia to me, though I can also see that perspective.

I think some of the first ones are bringing in their baggage and feelings about the Byron plot-line into this episode and putting down some unfair takes on the telepaths here, I agree with Scott's point about the intent of the scene. My thoughts on the matter is that this is one of the very few times we see a telepathic power be used for something nice, Bo will most likely never get to be a starfury pilot but this projection let him have it for a moment.

"Fondling the dead guy's helmet" means something very different in UK slang...

You guys practically pitched "Waldorf & Statler but it's G'kar and Londo".

If you don't like tofu, you haven't prepared it right! ;) (but I will admit it takes a while to figure out how to do that)
I love how unfazed Mack and Bo are by everything. Being attacked by aliens is just Thursday to them. It feels like most people have a few odd situations that seem perfectly normal to them - construction workers in Germany find old bombs in the ground all the time, and one of my professors didn't bat an eye at ending up in an ICU in Nepal. All just part of the job!

I think the episode is fine.
On paper it was probably a good idea for anyone "new" to the series watching it on TNT for the first time. However... for this long-time watcher it felt a bit like a waste. A good (or at least decent) season 2 or season 3 episode, but not particularly relevant in season 5, except maybe for a bit of character growth for Lochley, but that's about it for me.
Looking back, it would have been interesting to have had an episode like this each season - where two non-main characters are the sole focus of the story and the main cast are pushed a bit to the sides.
