Always a pleasure helping fellow adventurers 👍🏍️💨🤠
Wow, what is it about KTM fuel pumps ? They have been an issue for too long now and that is not acceptable. Enjoying the video.
Taco Moto has that solved w their 3k hour units 👌🏽👌🏽
Awesome capture… It’s an adventure when shit goes boom but great to see and know there are friends out there willing help!
Bring on Ep3 👍👍
Great Episode. Lucky for us Suzuki DRZ riders we have a built in spare fuel pump we never need.
It's all about the journey. Always a great watch. I was at Speed week last year, it's great watching cars do 222miles / hr
Shame about the problems but what legends helping you guys out!
Looking forward to the next part 👍
Hats off to you.
Good work keithy
Great video looking forward to the next episode, next time plan a couple days with the Coober Pedy Adventure Riders 😊

Quote of the century 'the bike will be brand new by the end of the trip!' haha
Super, another greatvideo, thanks Keith. Have you looked at alternate fuel pumps, like the tacomoto 3k hour? There may be others but that comes to mind, safe riding!!

Love it!
Keith, how do you keep you bike safe at night with no ignition barrel? Key ect ???
Disc lock. Also a lot of pubs will have an undercover, sort-of secure area. Or park it inside the room ;-)
The spare fuel pump on hand was clutch. It's something we all think about and I should order a spare for myself. What were your new fuel trim settings on the Vortex that seemed to work? Lastly, which model fuel tank is that y'all are running that makes it hard to get the last few liters of fuel from?
-5% (2 clicks) on Lo, -2.5% (1 click) on Med, 0 (standard) for Hi.
Tank is IMS 17L.
Absolutely worth bringing a fuel pump when traveling on KTMs or Huskies. My buddy and I carried one on the last trip up to the Arctic and ended up using it. Cheap insurance.
@@keithjob Glad to know it's not the Acerbis 4gal like I just installed lol.
ITs well known that the standard fuel pumps are cheap chinese pumps that sometimes fail early on. If they don't they can last for a fair while. I fit better pumps and always carry a spare as its relatively easy to replace, as you saw in the video.
Yes. That bike was 6 years, 25,000km, 350+ hours. Spare pump kits are cheap and should be an essential carry item. I will have more to say on this eventually! 😉
👍👍
How many kms on the beast now
About 21,000km. 315-ish hours I think
@@keithjob yeh nice.. I’ve only got 21 hours 1200kms on mine.. but after seeing the miles you do I might start taking it in bigger trips.. so handy being so nimble to throw about
💪💪🙌
how many hours on that fuel pump?
That bike was 6 years, 25,000km, 350+ hours.
@@keithjob mine is 6 years as well almost 600 hours (12k km) off-road, I guess I should get a spare fuel pump then.
