    I’m so confused!!! I watched every you tube video that you made for the last 3 years. All GREAT!!! However, you recommended so many different products , I don’t know what to buy. By the way, congratulations on your new move. I’m sure you will be happy and successful there. I bought a rotary machine and. G9 DA machine. Work great. But the chemicals are a giant question.
    Using a white wool cutting pad for first compound for oxidation
    Using an orange foam pad for second step polish to remove swirls
    A micro fiber pad for polymer finishing.
    So what 3 compounds are you now recommending?
    Boat is a 1990 Mastercraft Maristar240 SC.
    Only in lake water. Stored inside. Gel coat. Red and white.

      Hey bro! You got it, in that order 😎 you need to break down multiple different steps of compound in order to properly polish the gelcoat out

    any benefit to using punch it over clutch for maintenance topper?

    • @DrakesDetailing
      @DrakesDetailing  Рік тому

      Punch-it will help protect it better, clutch will give you more of a temporary gloss.

    Hey Drake, I am a little confused as to when to use clutch versus punch-it

    • @DrakesDetailing
      @DrakesDetailing  Рік тому +1

      Punch-it pretty much just adds protection, clutch it more or a rejuvenating spray that will enhance the gloss and look of the surface, all while protecting it as well.

    Drake, would Punch-it be used after applying Jescar or in place of it? Also, didn’t you mention once that it wasn’t desirable to have water bead up on our boats due to water spots forming. That’s what I love about Jescar. Any thoughts?

    • @DrakesDetailing
      @DrakesDetailing  Рік тому

      Hey Don! So punch it is more or less a spay detailer, so it will put on some added “shine” and some sort of added protection. You would not use this in place of Jescar, but you could use it after applying Jescar every once in a while to maintain the sealant. As for the water beading, that’s personal preference. If there’s beading, that means there is surface protection, but you’ll also have hard water spots you’ll need to remove with a product (such as punch-it) after if dries if you don’t shammy it off after every wash, or every time it rains.
      However, Jescar is a water “sheeding” product, not a water “beading” product. Water will glide more like a waterfall off of the surface instead of falling off in beads, hence making the water spots. So you really shouldn’t have too much of a water sport problem at all if you go with the Jescar.

    Hey Drake, on my cruiser, the past owner painted the boat with a thin layer of seems like latex white paint, what can I use to safely remove it all so I can get into saving my original factory finish that's underneath?

    How do you feel about using punch it on the floor?

    • @DrakesDetailing
      @DrakesDetailing  2 місяці тому

      If the floor has a sealant and-or coating on it, it works great to maintain it and clean it all at the same time.

      What does this even mean? Haha he has taught us how to buff, how to polish,clean,wax,ceramic coat, wet sand. And he’s still teaching us the same stuff if not more now. He has expanded and he’s growing. Only difference I’ve noticed is he’s not in florida or using starke but aside from that it’s all the same great info. You can add any sio2 based spray after a polymer sealant/ceramic coating. It’s a good maintenance tip for detailers or people that want to keep there boat protected without having to break out the jescar and DA multiple times per year.
