LYRICS:
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rawhide, ha, ha
Keep rollin', rollin', rollin'
Though the streams are swollen
Keep them dogies rollin', rawhide
Through rain and wind and weather
Hell bent for leather
Wishin' my gal was by my side
All the things I'm missin'
Good vittles, love and kissin'
Are waitin' at the end of my ride
Move 'em out, head 'em up
Head 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em out, head 'em up
Rawhide
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, cut 'em out
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in
Rawhide, ha, ha
Keep movin', movin', movin'
Though they're disapprovin'
Keep them dogies movin', rawhide
Don't try to understand 'em
Just rope an' throw an' brand 'em
Soon we'll be livin' high and wide
My heart's calculatin'
My true love will be waitin'
Waitin' at the end of my ride
Move 'em out, head 'em up
Head 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em out, head 'em up
Rawhide
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, cut 'em out
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in
Rawhide
(Rollin', rollin', rollin')
(Rollin', rollin', rollin')
Ha
(Rollin', rollin', rollin')
Ha
(Rollin', rollin', rollin')
Rawhide, ha
Rawhide

This is a rare gathering of the greatest bluegrass Mandolin players of all time
If we could all be just as cool and chill as Marty Stewart on stage..
Wow, those people are absolutely the very best in the world at what they do. It's truly amazing.
You know it's good blue grass when you hear the intermittent "Yea!" throughout the performance.
Comparing to thrash-metal, this is thrash-country. Amazing.
Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but man, what talent!
Talk about strength in depth! Dang - there's a football team of musicians on stage and not a weak one amongst them. Seriously wish I'd been there.
Love Ricky and Marty, and all this amazing talent!!

Marty, I just saw you and Superlatives @ Bethel Woods Oct 16, 2021. Terrific concert! I’m the lady who kept you waiting on the bus after the concert because Harry let me take a selfie with him and made sure I had my keys (lol)! Thanks so much!
These are awesome musicians. Good bluegrass musicians are the best.
They play faster than I can watch! Amazing!
Damn right.
talent at it best here!!! perfect timing and professional playing wow ty
Ronnie McCoury’s break on this tune is one of the most perfect mandolin breaks I’ve ever heard.
I love seeing and hearing that mandolin section! Fabulous!
Ive seen him live at least 7 times and he's absolutely amazing
Boy that sure raised the energy. Bring them ALL back!!!!!!! Yahoo!!

"Burn it, Skaggs" (might as well have said, "Tear 'em a new one, Ricky")
is that so ??
Them boys can pick.
Wow, amazing 🙌🏽 🎼 🎵
They are having fun.and what a lineup!
LOCKDOWN WITH THE BEST❤
Ricky is the best mandolin player that I have ever seen.
BESIDES Bill Monroe
Marty
Perfection...find phil harmonic that plays star wars perfect...then hear this this...Ricky Skaggs ...you are herby forbidden to die....without approval
At the 2:42 mark, I bet Ronnie was watching Cody and thinking to himself: “One day I’ll start a group called the Travelin’ McCoureys, and I’ll get that kid to play guitar!”
Flying...............absolutely flying
Great video, thanks for posting it to Yt!
Woooooo boy they can play and they DO
Now, THAT'S some pickin'!!
What a tune!! ❤️🥰
Done by some of the best. Thanks for the post
I love it!
rock on
Those guys were flat getting it.
Big Mon would shor be proud!
Mandolin killer 🎶🎶🎶
Unbelievable excellent !!!
SMOKIN'
Ricky is the best
So so gooood!
wow, wow wow.
When I listen to songs like this I ask myself is there music better than bluegrass. The answer is: no, there isn't.
hell yeah brother
Whoa!🙏🎶
The best
Wow!! :) Too hot - Love it!
Banjo 👌
RAWHIDE!!
Heck yah closeup at 0:46 of Marty's mandolin; names scratched in it?!
Wonder what Hank's last name that is etched ( scratched actually ) on his mandolin
Johnny Cash was the first to scratch his name on it with a pen knife.
Yeah, buddy. It don't get better than this.
The mandolin orchestra. Fire Extinguishers not included ...
Always wondered who was the better Mandolin picker. Ricky or Marty? I know they both can play amazing. The guitar also flat top or Tele!
Oh well! Why compare one to another. I like them both.
hell yeah . both prodigies from a young age, also both preformed with Lester flatt at young ages, wonder what secrets he taught LOL
Typically, no teles in bluegrass! I think that's Cody Kilby on guitar which looks to be a Martin D-28, kinda the gold standard for bluegrass flatpickers.
look at the dudes face at :53 hes in the background lmao
dont forget crazy moustache man at :31
0:53
Fixed that timestamp for you
I'm not sure about 0:53, but I know mustache man at 0:31 is Barry Scott from Doyle Lawson and the Quicksilver.
God Almighty! 🙂
Got to love because we are going to play really fast why we don't know but we just know we play really fast
Bluegrass rips.
Marty Stuart kicks Ricky's ass on the mandolin hands down much more clean and precise
Ricky is playing the way Monroe played. considering they were best of friends for the better of 40 years, and Ricky always loved Monroes "Raw" and "dirty" style he usually does Monroe Instrumentals like Rawhide and Get Up John in that style. Ive seen Ricky play more clean on other songs even an album version of Rawhide from 1997. Monroe was one of the best of his time due to most mandolin players of the 30s usually picking melodies and not much fast or complicated licks. Bill Changed that and also used alternating beats for the fiddle and mandolin. when the fiddle played the mando chopped and vise versa. I think personally on songs like this Ricky simply does it the way bill did it, but on others his style changes
Good stuff!
How many BPM?
Should have called this tune almost anything BUT not Rawhide.
I was looking for different versions of Rawhide.
Never would have guessed this to be one.
How do they move their fingers that fast?
Well Gawddamn that's some smokin pickin.
DAMN !!!
this is not the theme song from Rawhide the western, this is Bill Mondroe's instrumental Rawhide, no relation to those lyrics whatsoever!
No, but that doesn't mean Bill Monroe couldn't have covered such a song with such lyrics as "Rollin', rollin', rollin', though the streams are swollen, keep them dogies movin', rawhide" or "move 'em on, head 'em up ... cut 'em out, ride 'em in"

@@martystuart8991 pretty sure the real Marty doesn't have to use gmail!
Only the best?
aaaaaaaassurddo, EXTRATERRESTRI
Bunch of greasy fingers on this stage! Wow!
Even at .75 speed I can’t keep up
Good playing but wrong title that title been taken.
Bill Monroe recorded this version of Rawhide in 1946, when Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs were in the band. The different version of Rawhide with lyrics came years later.
Too bad David Grisman and Sam Bush were not part of this stellar performance.
Marty cut his teeth at 15 with Lester on this one.....
Not Rawhide
sure in la we hate the government. get it on liuke this.
Brother? All Freemasons?
Stuart is better than Skaggs..by far..
