Great video Saph. It might deserve a continuation - in how you finally shot the composition of the teams and their gearing. Which ones are best to use cursed set... It is also possible to do some groups of champions in detail with a comparison of best of /top ten best direct damage single target for hydra and their gearing, top ten max hp - ok this is probably easy :D, top ten burners, provokers, hex/
Awesome vid Saph. This, imho, is where you shine as a content creator. The ability to dive into how the game works mathematically, and then convey the information in a practical fashion is fantastic. I'm going to try changing up some of my teams and see if I can't do better based on this video, and hopefully I can improve my lower tiers in particular by going more direct damage. Thanks for the tips!
Great video! Thank you so much for you time and thoughts. I didn't mind the length although I did take a coffee break. I was definitely doing some thing wrong. In particular, I thought I always needed a burn champ. I will be making some changes. Thank you again.
I really enjoyed this. As someone that hasn't fully deep dived into all of the mechanics but has a really rough knowledge of the game, this was spectacular. I didn't just have it as a background play, I was thoroughly engaged and engrossed with the content. Definitely helped me understand what strategies I need to build to, how to catalogue my champioms and what to use. I would definitely enjoy more tutorials of this nature, digging into how to maximize your efforts in various activities that have more than meets the eye, even something going over the process of how fast dungeon runs are accomplished as that's something that boggles my mind still.
I really value this video. Im going to watch it again and take notes. You highlighted a lot of whats been going wrong with my runs that i was unaware of
This is a fantastic video. Even though it was long, I wanted to watch all the way to the end. You didn't waffle, what you spoke about was relevant. Thank you for this, really appreciate it.
Thank you for this video, it was just what I needed. After watching this I’ve gone from struggling to get the normal novice chest with 2/3 keys to doing 8.76m with 1 key. Just need to find a guild that is doing higher levels now.
Awesome content Saph. What I would like to see (regardless of length of video) is an ultimate dream team comp for every difficulty based on what you just said here. Almost like a challenge, you can use any champ, but only once. That way its not just 3 Acrzias and 3 Gnuts.
Amazing and helpful Vidoe, I just have a question. Do the heads get less max Hp after being decapitated. I have seen my Gnut doing considerably less Damage with his a3 on decapitated heads.
It was a long video but tbh didn't realised that this one was this big, very informative and came to know lot of things to improve my damage. If possible please make a video on those trunda doing high damage and how those tetup works or what the different factors

I use Mashalled + Shamael as main dmg + hex from Mitrala , 20% from GH def red.+ Mashaled in lethal and they just shred heads on Brutal. 640M PB, with 500-600M full auto F2P you just need bit of luck, put your head in to it and have patience buying ascension 😅

Poison explosion is an option on the heads that take poisons. It's capped like a max hp hit unlike poison activations so you can build tankier. I think when I tested it two poisons for 2 turns does the max damage for Elenaril. Not that I've worked out a team that is useful for her given its only half the heads
As someone that's only just started being able to field hydra teams, this is very helpful... The only bit that lost me was how to get a champion that does 200k+ direct damage?! Is that just a gear issue and something I need to build towards?
Combination of strong gear, right debuffs and good single target damage dealers. Pick a good champ with high multipliers that ideally scale (like varl increases his atk) or has some ability to get their skills rotating with extra turns (like Turvold)
I haven’t worked on my hydra teams at all, mostly just getting chests in hard/ normal, even if it’s not the top chest. When u say single target dmg dealers, can you throw out a couple of examples of dmg dealers that aren’t enemy max hp? Would Ronda work in this spot?
Harima is a great dmg dealer for normal and hard. She scales very well with her passive is super tanky and has a backup provoke and attack down and a cruel on her a2 aswell. My harima does about 60m dmg on hard.
I am an end game player.. I've got almost all the meta champs and some great gear.. I can 1 key normal, hard and brutal but Hydra is easily my worst area in the game. I really need to improve my Hydra teams.
Been playing for a long while and have yet to really figure Hydra out. This idea that I’m supposed to use big equations to get my speeds right, that I’m supposed to have champions doing specific things is just stupid to me. I should be able to level champions, gear them in decent gear and go do what I need to do. I shouldn’t have to make it feel like rocket science in a video game.
I think you kind the hp burn under the bus. You only calculated hp burn taking 1 turn per each head., but hp burns go on for 2 turn. But if you think about it enemy max hp usally have 4 turn cooldowns. for the rest of the 3 turns that enemy max hp champ really isnt doing anything. If your able to extend burns to keep them up the entire 4 turns. For brutal. the values should be 320K (80k for 4 turns) or 400K(100k for 4 turns) compared to enemy max hp which is 300k and 180K on brutal. So if your able to keep hp burns for the entire 4 turns that the enemy max hp takes to rotate thru his enemy max hp hit, then hp burns > enemy max hp. Now im not saying hp burn is actually better than burns because enemy max hp vs a decap head is way better plus theres also additional hex damage. So yea enemy max hp is really good iin brutal/Nightmare. But you cant say that hp burn is a 2 out of 4. As long as you can keep hp burn up all the time. HP Burn is basically an enemy max hp nuke without any decap or hex bonuses. which is really good in its own regard. Not only that but you get alot of the extra support from hp burn champs, like dec def + weaken from siphi or dec atk + tanky champ from artak. And if your popping the burns thats even more damage. especially if you can keep the buffs up regardless of popping them. Also, hp burn is really good if your not able to outspeed the hydra heads. Bringing enemy max hp when champions are actually being outsped by hydra heads, your better of bringing hp burns. the burns will do consistent damage for all the turns that the hydra heads are taking. where as your enemy max hp is taking even longer to do his enemy max hp skill, and will probably be harder to keep alive if your constantly being hit by the hydra heads without taking enough turns. if you have no inc speed or dec speed or turn meter buffs i suggest hp burn over enemy max hp because hydra head will most likley be outspeeding you . if your able to go 2:1 per a specifc hydra head then enemy max hp is much better. but hp burns are still viable. vary viable. Just wanted to give my opinion. if im wrong please correct me, i would actually appreciate it. I used to be heavy focused on hp burn on hydra and i would be over 100m on nightmare and brutal. but now ive switched to enemy max hp because of gnut and using husk to provke. but my 2nd team is still hp burn focused and im one of the top hitters in my clan. hitting for over 100m on any difficulty every week
