@RelaxingGetaways i went to Auckland, Wellington, napier, tauranga, rotouru. Wellington is more for businnes, have all that you need. I liked more there!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the modern architecture and beautiful scenery in Wellington. It's such a wonderful place, and I'm happy to share it with you!
I was considering making a move from Singapore to Wellington many years ago....but then I read it was the windiest city in the world, and with a cold temperature, that was a major turn off. I do like the vibe and compactness of it. And also...the earthquake in Christchurch deterred my move to Wellington. Wellington sits on a major active fault. Much of the city is built on land raised from the last earthquake!
@JasveerSinghBal-yc3by Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It’s true, Wellington is known for its wind (they don’t call it ‘Windy Welly’ for nothing 😅), but it definitely adds to the city's unique charm. The temperature is certainly cooler compared to Singapore. As for the earthquakes, yes, Wellington does sit on a fault line, and we do feel some shakes from time to time. But despite the risks, many still find it an incredible place to live, with its compact layout and creative vibe 😊
Once upon a time you couldn't walk down these streets without bumping into people.... The streets were packed with people (back in the 80s) Now it looks deserted... Wellington is one of the best Cities I have lived in.... but sadly now it looks deserted.
@otgtrading3820 Thank you for your comment! This was filmed on a weekend morning, which is why it looks quieter. On weekdays, especially during work hours, the streets are usually much livelier. Wellington truly is a fantastic city! 😊
Agreed. In the late 70s-80's you could hardly even walk along lambton Quay, Willis Street was a bit less people. And the traffic was gridlocked well onto the motorway.
@@davidofengland9557 Yeah, there are not so many people and cars in the CBD now. However, Lambton Quay is still quite busy during lunch break on workdays, when all the workers are hunting for lunch and coffee ☕. Thank you for sharing your impressions and memories! Cheers.

@@SushanthM-pv2sk I relocated from Germany to New Zealand about two years ago, and from my experience, it’s been a very safe country. While I’ve heard about certain concerns, it hasn’t affected my day-to-day life at all. @lincolncam23 Yes, Wellington is pretty diverse! I’ve come across quite a few Malaysians and Indonesians here. Earlier this year, I went to the Newtown Festival in March, and there were so many food stalls from all over the world, including Malaysian and Indonesian cuisine. It really showcased how multicultural the city is.
@Hndjdj400 Yes, you are right. Many New Zealanders are moving abroad. Nevertheless, the net migration gain is still quite high, for example, around +60,000 people in July 2024.
Hi bro, i just got to know that you are german native, can you tell me which is better, and would you like to live here or in Germany or the rest of Europe??
