CORTES BANK APOCALYPSE SWELL

Cortes Bank continues to be one of big-wave surfing's most elusive and dangerous venues. Weather rarely cooperates. The take-off zone shifts fifty yards in or out with each new set. It's cold. Shallow. Sharky. And consider Cortes virgin Alex Gray's observation: "It's like 70-foot Sunset Beach on steroids."
