It's great , but I loved the original lineup !!! Derek , Leslie , Alan , Eric and Woody !! I am a huge fan, since their beginning! Thanks Simon ! Never seen this !!
Totally agree with you - Les was their best lead singer and it was never the same once Alan left! I became a fan in 1974 here in UK, I was 13 and I'm 62 going in 63, so it's my 50th BCRs anniversary this year!
@rosannesweitzer4778 The originL 74 line up you mean and yes I'd agree they were the most popular but up until that point there had been about 15 other Rollwrs .And one big hit in 1971 with no Les
They sure didn't sound as good without Les - he was the voice of the Bay City Rollers! Such a shame there was disharmony in the band, because they were so much better all of them together!
@@lindsaymann5383 Yeah and it's sad that there's only Woody left now who is still singing with a band under the Rollers name and I know Eric is still alive, but he declined to reform the band when Les was still alive. However, we, the fans, will always have our memories of the great Bay City Rollers and their music will live on while ever we've got UA-cam channels like this one!
@@beverleyr2625 They all reformed in the 1980's for a tour in Japan & there were various reunions during the years with just a couple of them usually - I personally like the Ian and Les reunion far better than this one.
Two years earlier in 1987 they went on tour with much this line up except Woody . They were billed as The New Bay City Rollers .It is what it was .If our a fan youd go but crowds were poor and so that ended without success . .My local national newspaper in their headline of their return stated Girl City Rollers in a reference to the first ever female member
The shows I mention were in Ireland . .Their first big comeback here with all 5 hit Rollers was in early 1985 .They appeared on national TV and national newspapers. Tartan had gone..The tour descended into disaster. First they said McKeown walked out because of a throat problem .Then the truth. He had walked out because he thought the venues were below his standard ..However the shows continued without him with some interesting new menbers added. .Then a few weeks later back in Scotland some more sackings and new lineup again .That's another story.
I am a big BCR fan but the only reunion line up that worked for me, apart from when they all did the 1980's tour in Japan was the Les & Ian lineup. Love Eric & Woody but this lineup doesn't do it for me.
@S735334 your English, friend of yours, ask Alan and woody why they left the band if she's such a nice person?good thing I don't care what people think of my comments, you can't do anything about it.
I still love them. Eric looks awesome. He gets better looking every year. At 70 now he still is amazing. ❤❤
He has a very handsome face.
I've read he's been very ill in recent years.
I thought he looked terrible in photo i saw recently looked more 85 than 70 😢😢
He has not looked after himself or aged well but he was so cute when young

I'm right there with you ! The original band was the best ,I still live eric with all my heart ❤❤
Absolutely still love Eric to this day….soooo handsome ❤❤❤❤❤
I still love him same as I did back in the 70's;you're right--so handsome but also soooo talented! 🔥♥♥♥🎸
Wish Woody had received more camera time, but hey, it's good to see this footage I'd never seen until now. Thanks so much for the upload!
❤stillove my guitarman Eric and the bay city rollers ❤❤
Eric is amazing and always has been always will be. I've loved him since 1975. He is still absolutely gorgeous, for me it's his soulful eyes.
Thanks for sharing this with us. Life long fan here ❤
Eric is my favourite roller but man his singing 😃😭😭

Agree. Eric wasn't a great vocalist at all, as this clip shows. You have to put the passion and nuance into the words. A good clip all the same.

Oh dear this was every shade of wrong. Whats with the woman prancing around. Nothing like the real bay city rollers😢
Colleen Wright - Couldn't agree with you more - they wouldn't have had the massive army of fans with that lineup!
BEAUTIFUL LOVE IT❤❤❤
I'm a native Californian, most of these members will fit right in at the California beaches!!!!
1989. 34 years ago.
They were cool when I was young. Glad Woody still enertaining
Fabulous ❤

I think I heard the host call her Kass. She was Eric’s girlfriend-I read that somewhere.
Did they say the girl was Lesly gore ?

Eric does not make the BCR :(
Loved the Rollers but Eric is not a good singer.
That's your opinion
Agree
No Les, Derek ,Pat or Ian
No not in that lineup and now in 2024 sadly no Alan, Ian or Les 😔 Gone but never forgotten! ❤️
Not the band I remember
Only two from the rollers, shes just a poser and english, dont like erics look.
She's not a poseur.. she was an integral part of the Rollers for longer than you might realise.. & actually a real nice person.. English or not..😅

WTF….this is awful…glad I missed t in the day…
Eric could never sing.
Ridiculous
Oh my God that is atrocious!
