Greetings from Buenos Aires...the best phaser analysis I've seen...also look at all your videos....the best analysis in years of effects I've seen...congratulations
I don't know why but my favorite phaser is the old small stone phaser but I end up using the mxr phase 95 on my board instead just because it's smaller and I know they make a smaller version of the small stone but it doesn't sound the same as the old version ala pre sovtek version maybe it's just the one with the trippy looking logo that is different but it just doesn't get as fast as the original and one of my main uses for it is as a ring modulater it mixed with a good distortion makes a huge awesome sound I can't get from anything else even different ring modulaters that can be slowed down enough to sound like a phaser
Thanks for taking the time to explain this! I'm wondering why although the target frequencies are pushed 90 degrees out of phase, "the remaining frequencies will be 180 degrees out of phase"? Another question I have; is the resistor and capacitor creating a low pass filter on the positive op amp input?
wow. your channel is great. perfect for us pedal nerds :) gonna check out the other videos as well. i loved to see the phaser effect on the white noise, helps to understand it. How did you you generate that white noise to use with the pedal? thanks in advance.
Thank you so much! It’s a real hi-tech solution. There’s a noise generator plugin in Logic. I send that to an output of my interface, plug that into the pedal, then back into another input on the interface.
Don't feel bad about having so many phasers i used to have that many until I sold off the ones that were redundant and theres still a few i want to get like a Ibanez phase modulater and maybe an old blood dweller and I forgot the brand name but it's called a phase computer and has like 32 stages
aside from the fact that this video is amazing(seriously)… that phase pedal with manual mode - if it doesn’t already, it should have an expression pedal connection so you could phase wah… unless rhats already a thing …
A channel for explaining pedals. Brilliant.

Stunning! I'll see myself out.
“It occurred to me that I have a lot of phasers.” (Hmm, I guess he probably has 2 or 3…HOLY SHIT!)
The Chorus situation is even more dire
I thought it not too surprising that the posted comment “to much talking” included the misspelling of too. Some people is so unitcheecated.
Great video thanks!
