You know, good looks have never been his priority, that’s why knetizens always judged him and company, criticizing BIGBANG’s and 2NE1’s looks. I guess his plan was to make a group under yge which can be both - talented and good looking at the same time (as he did with BP). Yeah, plus it’s important for the companies since it’s not a secret that they’ll make more money if idols have “these” standards of beauty
Anyways at the end yhs chose those who are talented and outstanding not just with pretty faces
Fyi,YG didnt charge the cost when they debut. Event for ex trainee didnt charge the cost when theyr out
I learn it from some articles and a lot of people mention it too that YG didn't charge training cost from their debuted artists, also YG is one among other companies who start profit splitting straight from the debut. So I think it's not true that YG artists are gaining nothing at the 1st year after they debut, cmiiw.

@@ateeyeng7859 as I know, only small companies make their artist and trainee pay back. So it's not only about generous yg. I've never heard anything like this about rich companies. Lol they just don't need it. They only get percents as usual. Nothing over it

This is also the reason why most of the richest kpop idols are from YG. They don't have debt for their training period [which is the best because company should take as training period as investment, and trainees should not shoulder that expenses] and YGe has the best profit sharing between the management and the artist.
The best thing about being YG trainee you don't Payback even you are not debut in YG but its really hard to be YG trainee you have to make sure that your mental is ready and not just talent.
in YG, the trainees no need to pay back after their debut, i think the big agencies also doing that

Actually for Jihoon he's an old YG trainee (one of YG Silver Boys). He participated in Stray Kids (JYP vs YG) in 2017. He was out of YG in early 2018/ middle 2018 (I forgot) and brought back around nov/dec 2018 and joined TREASURE B for the YGTB. Couldn't wait for next eps...

actually PARK JIHOON was not a new trainne, he joined yg in 2015 and belonged to team A along with yedam, junkyu, hyunsuk and doyoung, but he left in 2018 at the beginning of 2018, but from there he returned in the middle of the year 2018 and YG gave him the opportunity to enter the YG TREASURE BOX program
After they debuted a few members there were a lot of fans who got unsatisfied so days after they finally added more members, it wa originally 13 it supposedly Treasure 13 and Ha Yoonbin is one of them but unfortunately he quit thats why its now only called Treasure :((

This show might be intense and I wanted to cry while watching some episodes hahah but at least it shows us how it really is in such big companies. Like each company has dozens of talented trainees, they’re there for years but a new group will include only 5-7 members (at least). It’s like every month is their personal survival show and they need to compete with each other every single time
P.S. I YGE trainees don’t pay for their trainings and they don’t need to pay back after debut. One of few good things YGE has 😂

No, YG dont do that. Depending on activity its 70-30 usually. 70% goes to artists. Thats why Yg Artists are the richest idols among all the idols

I dont know if u know this but sm is said to be waay harsher according to exo and they dont even give much profits to their artists plus. Redvelvet stayed 3 years with no fabdom name and thry debuted in 2014 and only in 2019 they got to have their first solo concert
