want to apologise for mostly looking for the 12 members in this reaction, just got so excited to look when they were younger. as the series goes a long i do focus on other trainee’s as well 💜 also i’m sorry for always saying the opposite of what YG says, he has harsh techniques but it is all worth it in the end because he makes amazing bands
I totally understand you hehe. As you are a debuted era Teume,that is expected because the reason why you watch the show is to see the journey of the members. Actually it excites me when you are looking for every member haha.

About Junkyu situation, he participated in another survival show called MixNine, he ranked very low, so when he returned he lost confidence.
But at the end of this show, he is one of the most famous trainee.
IN YGTB, YOU CAN REALLY WITNESS HOW MONSTER TRAINEE JEONGWOO IS. DESPITE OF HIS YOUNG AGE, OTHER TRAINEES REALLY RESPECT HIM SO MUCH BECAUSE OF HIS TALENT

The reason why Jihoon is not in so many scenes with Treasure B is because Jihoon at the beginning belonged to Treasure A but left YG for a while before Treasure Box but later YG himself contacted Jihoon to come back and join the survival program but no longer in the teamA but in team B
I just saw yoonbin again. Yoonbin will always have a special place to us teumes. THE 13TH member of treasure but I still respect his decision

The original plan was really 5-7 since YG dont produce big groups. But one factor that might have influenced that is that he/they cannot let go of the talented boys they have, like literally *talented* as what we can se in TREASURE now. Can we even imagine TREASURE without Hyunsuk or Asahi or Doyoung...
Another thing is that the support that each of the boys got during the running of the show. The people who are not on the final lineup still have more fans waiting for them like Mashiho.
Remembering the uproar over Mashiho and I'm glad Mashiho is part of TREASURE
21:13 don't misunderstand yg, he's just saying that he's now gonna look at looks because he wants a change but that doesn't mean he doesn't look at talent. In fact yg is known to really look at talent and not cast anyone just because they are good-looking, unlike other companies who give importance on visuals and worry about the training later on.
He just decided to look more at looks with this group. (Not that his other groups are "ugly". They are just not what was seen as good looking when they were formed.)

Wow. As another YG stan for over 10 years, that was a bit harsh. I was just adding on to what you had said to give some background. I certainly did not mean to trigger you. I was stating the facts as how each of the YG groups was viewed in Korea when they each debuted. We would disagree with those views, and I also get frustrated when people jump to conclusions. No need to be negative here, right?

@@alyssa9795 I will agree with you there. Isaac is very good, but so many do not want to do any research so they don't "ruin their reactions". I think anyone who wants to be a reactor, should at least learn the basics about a group, before reacting. It really bothers me when 1) they keep guessing about how many people are in a group, and 2) when they make suggestive comments about group members without knowing their ages. (Very inappropriate). Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I'm saying this so you don't get confused. YGTB only debuted 7 members. which was originally 7 members named treasure. then suddenly YG announced a new group after the announcement of a treasure member named magnum with 6 members. then YG combined them into 1 treasure 13 group but had 2 units namely treasure and magnum.
THANK YOUUU get ready ur tissues because this will be an emotional rollercoaster
on episode 5 rn and got emotional 40 times already
YG didn't care about visual before. YG older idols/artists always criticized for not having korean beauty standard looks. Even Treasure get criticized for their looks sometimes.
Congrats and Thank You for doing the TREASURE journey correctly. Some tend to leave out this survival show just because it is "too painful", but without watching this you cannot say you understand where they are coming from. Being a Teume without watching YGTB is just being half-cooked.
Although painful, YGTB is the reason why senior/pre-debut Treasure Makers waited and did not loose hope for them.
Anyway, you may want to pay attention well to the subs and story. I personally like you to understand the motives of the show and the trainees, even if you dont talk much. My advice is to somewhat neglect what you think you know about them, because this is earlier than TMAP or other contents. This is a survival show and not a "for fun" content so I hope you catch that heheh thank you!💎
You'll be amazed how different they all are in tmap, istg I was not expecting them to be very outgoing and funny while I was watching YGTB. Especially Junkyu tho, he was depressed and very mature in YGTB compared to tmap
I remember after ygtb and announcement of the first seven(w/c is supposed to be the original member) but many fans protested especially when some original team a members did not make it and mashiho's fans. And Junghwan and jaehyuk got hated a lot during that era because they made it to the first line up. Theres a lot of fanwars happened during that day. And now I'm just so happy that Junghwan and jaehyuk prove them wrong😭
mashiho fans back then went really wild. but can't blame them cause mashiho really deserved to debut.
I was so scared to rewatch YGTB but here I am rewatching it.. I cried huhuu 😭 tysm isaac for loving treasure! Oh and also maybe you can focus more on the caption because I feel like you kinda missed a few things soooo yeahh, anyways thank you for reacting to YGTB!! 💙💎
Also please pay attention to Yedam's self produced/self composed songs, theres a few in YGTB!! And if you pay attention to the captions you will surely understand whats happening and get an idea of what the next scene/episode will be like! Fighting!!
This is really hard for me to rewatch cause literally hurts. But I really appreciate how yg shows you the reality behind all this glam instead of filtering it out and only showing you good things.
YG really set the standard so high in Judgement. Ye you know how to perform but it doesn't mean you can impressed someone. He is true when he said ' who cares if you good in practice, you blew the stage '

Don't worry, the smiling boy while singing Junhao will debut in Bugvel together with another participant from YGTB. Almost all of the contestants here debuted and are successful with other groups. :)

it’s so sad, he is very harsh but worth it in the end
This really shows how two-faced people truly are. Only when it is Yang Hyun Suk who is throwing criticism people are always quick to wail about how harsh, brutal and mean he is but when it is the YG mentors or YG idols, they be like "they are the professionals! They know better than us!" Especially when it is the idols who is being truthful with their criticism, fans never fail to praise how "no nonsense, straight to point" their fave is. I can remember clear as day how in mixnine people were bashing YG for his comments but when Seungri came in and said the exact same thing the response was the exact opposite they really went "true true" XDDDDDD
YG is blunt and sometimes harsh but every YG mentors/vocal, dance and rap/ we have seen so far are all also not ones to sugar coat anything. Say it as they see or hear it. And all YG idols and artists are also as blunt as that when placed in mentor position, especially the leaders. H*ll, you could actually make compilation of YG idols' serious mentor moments and you will see they are no less than Yang Hyun Suk when it comes to bluntness.
I hope you can also meet the trainees that have not been able to debut, they have a lot of talent

Don't be surprised by what Yanghyunsuk or YG said. he is like that. if you get carried away because of his words, you will definitely get emotional and get carried away🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he spoke ill of their appearance in order to build them up. That's why YG trainees are very resistant to harsh words. but we will know one day the YG group will be successful.☺

I actually prefer you to watch YGTB before TMAP because I want you to feel the real feel of survival show. Like who you love a lot without biased (bcs of TREASURE ofc). Why? Some of the reactors doenct really pay attention to the other trainees. All of the trainees are so talented and deserved to debut.
But watching it after TMAP still great. Let's enjoy the survival show!!!

I'm so happy to see you get to react to YGTB. My YG heart is proud to see you vibe to other YG songs in this episode. This show is not for the weak of heart but you'll get to see how much talent they have while they are still trainees and how much they've grown when you see them now. The number might be confusing but YG never debuted a big group and only kept it at 5 (BB, Winner) or 7 (iKON). YGAs were always been known for being born with talents but criticized by Knets for their visuals. Hope you enjoy the rest of the episodes
I actually came here after watching jihoon's new self vlog and it was recommended to me on youtube
The hard thing is watching some of these 1st cuts to start. But I came to realize that, especially for the short time trainees, it is better to "cut ties" as early as possible, if no real basic talent can be seen. It is kinder in the long run than hanging on to them, and then having to criticize them continually. And what we see as harsh words from YG himself is a) his style (re: WIN & when Big Bang was formed - which you can find on UA-cam) and b) his way of motivating, while letting the kids experience what they will face as "idols". It also starts to weed out those trainees who thought they knew what idol life would like, but need a reality check (Midam).

I think YG being harsh to trainees is necessary. YG knows that kmedia hates and always harsh to YG artists. They are preparing them for a harsher world out there. That's why you can see how YG artists react to the criticisms from the haters and the kmedia.
