My favorite ride. I rode this 7 times back in 2005. 1 year or so after it opened. I rode it a bunch during my last 6 trips to epcot. In the last 15 years.
It was a terrific and entertaining ride. As a claustrophobic person i was trying to overcome my fear, and i thought the best way to start out would be the green, Mission: Space ride. My thoughts at first were “I’m gonna die” but then it got a bit better. For anyone who’s claustrophobic and wants to try it: it’s a pretty fun ride, terrific as I said at first. Enter at your own risk
Denny G im glad you like this ride Denny! When I was younger I used to enjoy the Orange mission but now I prefer the Green haha, thanks for watching as always!
I remember being a captain on this ride and I was clueless about what to do so my parents had to do it for me, also I was too small to reach to controls😂
This is the only attraction at WDW that has had me a little off balance/queasy after riding the orange side. I will have to check out the green side when I go back since its less intense.
Andrew Hughes yes same here! I always feel weird after the orange mission but the Green mission is so much better! I could barely tell that I was in a simulator ride
Pilot, Navigator, Commander, and Engineer... I played the role of Commander in this NASA Simulation. "Young Cadets will need a Booster Seat to train for this mission." LOL
i remember being commander twice and my dad next to me kept pushing buttons i kept telling him to stop. also I wish they had the whole rocket and not just the shuttle. it would of been amazing to reenact the whole ride
This was a fantastic ride - the sensation and forces on the orange version are superb. Unfortunately ruined by the updated mission. The Mars mission was so much better imho.
I'm an absolute chicken when it comes to coaster and simulators like Avatar. But i was able to do Mission Orange. Idk when im going back to florida so its nice seeing green now
I haven’t rode this in forever! It makes the rest of family (except my sister) ill, both versions. I’m terrified that one day I’ll enter the ride to somebody vomiting or something. Then again, though, waiting in the gift shop as my sister rode it isn’t much better since that is where everybody comes off. Maybe I’ll ride this version next time I go. Might as well. Simulators don’t really bother me.
Emily R yes I know a lot of people get sick riding this! I never did cause I don’t mind Simulators, but the Orange one does make me feel a little weird after riding it. I love the Green one now! It is very relaxing compared to the Orange
@@4KWDW Happened a few times in this video, even...when you hear the 'Computer Override' line, it means whoever was in the spot was too slow on their cue.
Good to know. I want to do the Green Mission but I'm a single rider and I'd be worried I'd not hit the right button or be too slow and ruin the experience for the rest on my team. Good to hear there's a computer override.
It’s hard to say! It depends on what you like. If you don’t like having motion sickness, then Green is the better one. But if you like thrills then Orange is better
RX- 24 thank you! The Green Mission isn’t scary at all! It is a simulator but there is barely any motion to it. I’d compare it to Star Tours because it is a simulator but on this ride you are inside a very tight and small box, so it could feel claustrophobic in there
RX- 24 no problem! Yes i think so, the green mission should be fine for anyone who has motion sickness since it is not intense at all, but the orange mission is extremely intense so definitely don’t go on that one
I wonder how many foreign tourists who don't understand/speak English too well do with these sorta rides. Like I can imagine them just staring at the screen enjoying the experience completely oblivious to the fact that they just fucked up the landing by not engaging the thruster
Can anyone compare the green side to Star Tours or Smuggler's Run? I get seasick easy, but tend to do somewhat okay on those. Trying to figure out if I can ride this or not.
Tried this ride before it opened to the general public; 🤢🤢🤮 right afterward from dizziness. It's a big centrifuge. Don't ride if you are susceptible to motion sickness in the slightest.
This is a late reply to your comment, but this is the green version. It’s not intended at all. The orange version is the one where that woman died. It’s a centrifuge so it spins around really fast causing you to feel g forces like you’re being launched into space. Th version in this video doesn’t have g forces
My favorite ride. I rode this 7 times back in 2005. 1 year or so after it opened. I rode it a bunch during my last 6 trips to epcot. In the last 15 years.
Awesome! This is the first time I’m seeing the green one. I’ve always been on the orange one.
Josue Angel Benavides oh ok nice! I do the Orange one sometimes too but the Green one is definitely more relaxing!
Same here
I remember loving this ride loads when I was younger!! I still have an X2 toy from my trip in 2011
Dont go on this if you are at all claustrophobic in the slightest, very cramp and you can hardly move once the restraints are down.

Do the real one orange
You are the reason they warn people of the enclosed closed spaces 😂

Excellent ride and the experience of doing this is very cool. So yes, I have rode this but its been awhile. Thanks for video

Are you still SMOL?
I prefer the orange but this is my favorite ride at the parks. It's so intense! 😁 Thanks for sharing!
L H i do enjoy the orange one from time to time! Thanks for watching 😃
how- when I first went on the orange one I felt nauseous and wanted to puke
I normally do the orange ride but I also ride the green version also because it is more relaxing and the g-forces are not as rough.
"There all yours capcom"...Oh great so either space monsters zombies or demons lovley
Interesting how the Green team does remind me of the classic Epcot educational attractions whenever your flying around the earth.
One word Disney wow can’t wait to write that in 2021 great video as well look forward to your next video
dave arnold thank you Dave! 😃
I Looooove the Green one 👍😊
MICHAEL GLASS that’s great Michael! 😃
just learning about your channel. amazing quality!!
Pam Nicholson thank you very much Pam! 😃
They should have added this ride at Disneyland Resort, California. Not many of us can afford a trip to Florida lol.
Yea it be cool to be there not only Florida
Yeah its called Smuggles run lol
This is the only attraction at WDW that has had me a little off balance/queasy after riding the orange side. I will have to check out the green side when I go back since its less intense.

Beautiful
Just like buzz lightyear of star command and WALL-E
Pilot, Navigator, Commander, and Engineer... I played the role of Commander in this NASA Simulation. "Young Cadets will need a Booster Seat to train for this mission." LOL
i love the orange!!!!!!!!
So we lifted off from Florida while there was a hurricane THE SIZE OF THE GULF just off the west coast?
i remember being commander twice and my dad next to me kept pushing buttons i kept telling him to stop. also I wish they had the whole rocket and not just the shuttle. it would of been amazing to reenact the whole ride
The guy who said the green mission 😂 he knew
This was a fantastic ride - the sensation and forces on the orange version are superb. Unfortunately ruined by the updated mission. The Mars mission was so much better imho.
The orange mission is more intense but the green mission is less intense and more relaxing
Darryl Nguyen yes!
Because it Spins
I had fun on the green team version since I get motion sickness badly but admit I kind of felt a little nauseous after it was over.

what do you feel on this ride? like, does it vibrate or does the entire capsule move? I've never been on it.
it spins very very fast
@@trudrew28 the green or orange
I can't wait to ride both green and orange
Do you have to hit the buttons? or will the ride just auto for you?
No you don’t have to hit them! The ride will continue on as if you did hit it

Which color mission is better? Green or Orange?

The animation is much to close to Earth to be in "space". But what a fantastic view!
Id like to see the orange one if possible. Is it on your channel already?
I actually haven’t filmed on the Orange one yet, but I can try to soon
@@4KWDW Thank you :)
Nice!
Hey nice video! How scary is this? Like what other Disney ride can you compare it to in terms of thrill?

I like the orange better. No matter how much I get sick!
In 3 years this ride will be 20 years old. It never gets old. I hope Epcot never gets rid of it.
The middle east is nearly in the dark.
ryan1981 cool haha yes i know what you mean. I still ride the orange from time to time even though i feel weird afterwards

Does the green team has g force??
Does it I need to know before I go to Disney world
Would you ride this?
I'm disappointed they got rid of Gary Sinise.
yes, definately , i miss the mission to mars
❤Gina Torres❤
So what happened with Gary sinise
They removed him and changed the video 3 years ago
@@4KWDW it's not the same without him
Who paid you to ride this ride?
Tran Huynh haha no one! I actually enjoy the less intense Green mission! But I don’t really do the Orange one ever anymore
If you were really flying a spacecraft. You would just go around instead of trying to land in a storm
is that Gina Torres ?
Pam Nicholson yes i think so!
Orange doe
