As Venezuelan/Canadian, we love it too, been in Dominican 8 times , last time in Las terrenas/samana, nature wise is amazing, feels like home, weather, food and specially the people
Maybe a possibility, there is a cheap and cheerful AI in Cabarete called Viva Wyndham Tangerine. Food is ok but best thing is its proximity to all the great beach restaurants in town. We eat off resort all the time! And because the resort is less expensive than most in Mexico, we have the budget to eat out and do excursions in the area. Lots to see! We love Cabarete.
I'm watching some of your older videos and it makes me miss my home of 7 years in Puerto Plata. Sigh... By the way, the combo meal rice and beans and chicken and salad is called La Bandera, which means flag. That meal is basically the staple of the country :)

Me again! Watching your video in NS when you stayed in the Yurt and were rum tasting. It reminded me to suggest to you to ask for a Santo Libre. It's basically a version of the rum & Coke (Cuba Libre), but instead of Coke, they put Sprite or Ginger Ale! Super delish and refreshing!

Most mandates have been removed in Ontario, Canada by this point and hospitalizations seem to slightly be creeping up but the number of ICU patients is slowly declining - we’ll see what happens 🤞🏽. There have been some really good questions in addition to helpful information that I wouldn’t have thought of about what to expect when visiting Las Terrenas. Another great video!

Very good video. I just wanted to give you a heads up in case you are in Las Terrenas in a few weeks. Easter weekend is called "semana santa" and las terrenas turns into a super packed spring break environment. The whole island goes on vacation for 4 days and it seems like everyone goes there. If you are still in Las terrenas during that weekend I think you'll be very surprised by what you see. Keep the videos coming. Congrats on getting to 100k
@@DelightfulTravellers I personally like Las Terrenas with less people the way it is now that you are there. It's really crazy for a few days, not my cup of tea.
If you want to escape the crowds, think heading to a big city like Santo Domingo or Santiago during Easter week. It will most likely be much quieter than anywhere along the coast.
Another excellent place you are staying at with the beautiful beach. Sad to hear that your guests didn't arrive, hopefully you will have some more visitors latter perhaps.

Another great video. We fly in to Samana with Air Transat direct from Toronto, but it is a seasonal flight. Once per week right now. Last flight back to toronto this year is April 30.

@@johna5428 we are going to Cabarete after LT and flying home from Puerto Plata. We are using a company based out of Cabarete for all our transfers. He arranged the LT portion for us. EduarTaxi Cabarete.
Good morning Anna & Trevor, with so many stunning beaches in LT, how does one ever choose a favourite?! Having said that... Playa Coson looks absolutely AMAZING!!! The villa is wonderful too, great place for large groups, and oh so close to the beach. Q & A: As tourists we're told not to drink the water in DR, so do restaurants use bottled water for drinks/cooking/ice cubes? We've only ever stayed in All Inclusives while in the DR but that's changing in 2023. My husband Craig and I love beach bars/restaurants and are wondering during your experience if you guys have had any issues? Thanks Val.. we don't get to go back in the kitchens so we can't quite say how they cook with water. At any good restaurant though you will be fine... don't worry about that. We just don't drink the tap water nor do we use it for brushing our teeth. It feels like the norm for us now 🤗 - Anna
As usual, a deeeeeelightful tour of those amazingly gorgeous beaches and that very nice villa! (Love the rivers at the beach!) I was wondering -- since you two like your tiny homes and spaces so much, do places like this villa seem too much for you or do you settle right in? I know you said you were expecting additional people for this particularly spectacular vacation space so this place might not have even been in the cards otherwise.
Cool place . the stabilisation on your camera is very bad when you walk , the image is very wobbly . maybe shot it off or use a gimbal if you can . but grate job

Good morning Anna & Trevor, with so many stunning beaches in LT, how does one ever choose a favourite?! Having said that... Playa Coson looks absolutely AMAZING!!! The villa is wonderful too, great place for large groups, and oh so close to the beach. Q & A: As tourists we're told not to drink the water in DR, so do restaurants use bottled water for drinks/cooking/ice cubes? We've only ever stayed in All Inclusives while in the DR but that's changing in 2023. My husband Craig and I love beach bars/restaurants and are wondering during your experience if you guys have had any issues? Thanks Val.. we don't get to go back in the kitchens so we can't quite say how they cook with water. At any good restaurant though you will be fine... don't worry about that. We just don't drink the tap water nor do we use it for brushing our teeth. It feels like the norm for us now 🤗 - Anna

As usual, a deeeeeelightful tour of those amazingly gorgeous beaches and that very nice villa! (Love the rivers at the beach!) I was wondering -- since you two like your tiny homes and spaces so much, do places like this villa seem too much for you or do you settle right in? I know you said you were expecting additional people for this particularly spectacular vacation space so this place might not have even been in the cards otherwise.
We so would have liked if our friends made it of course but having this whole place to ourselves was great as well. We settled in nicely 🥰 - Anna

Cool place . the stabilisation on your camera is very bad when you walk , the image is very wobbly . maybe shot it off or use a gimbal if you can . but grate job

Do you mean safety or security guards? There is security in most complexes and we have had absolutely zero issues in terms of safety in the country here - Trevor
