Happy Sunday! Thanks for stopping by! I’d love to hear how many you guessed correctly and I’d love to hear about your masterpieces! 🙌❤️ There is an “add on” at the very end I almost forgot. FYI. 😉
Hi Chris. Babycat is again in stock. It is not discontinued. They had issues with the patent for this perfume. It is not discontinued. And it is not just middle east limited smell. Just wait and you will soon see it in the USA
I've wondered what could possibly be happening with this one. It doesn't seem to make any logical business sense to not sell it far and wide since there is sooo much demand for it. I can't believe how hard it is to get!
I also keep a bottle of my grandparent’s fragrances. Youth Dew and Aspen from Coty. It’s so amazing how transportive it is. 🥰 it’s Iike a hug from them.
Aw!!! I remember those both ! And I have White Shoulders because of my other grandma but it doesn’t quite teach masterpiece category even though I find it very pretty and have lovely memories of it…❤️
Youth Dew was one of my first perfumes as a teen. I loved it! This might sound weird but I still wear Skin so Soft by Avon in the summer if I'm going to a BarBQue. It smells good and keeps the bugs away! LOL
I completely agree with you on your list!! One doesn’t have to like a fragrance to acknowledge its place in the history of perfume. Many on your list changed the world of fragrance with their innovation and uniqueness
I don't trust anyone's judgement who 'hates' things. It represents a singular lack of objectivity. I make jewelry and I'm always so umimpressed by designers who 'hate' and 'can't work with' certain colors. Really, you're just making jewelry for yourself then? 🤣
Lovely list! In addition to several you named, mine would include Gourmand Coquin, Penhaligon's Ostara, Roses Berberanza, and D&G Light Blue. I remember Light Blue taking the world by storm when it was released and its staying power in this fickle industry is proof that, although very common and much copied by now, it is a masterpiece 💙🩵
For me masterpieces are: Intense Cafè Montale Babycat Ysl Tobacco Vanille TF Shalimar Guerlain BR540 MFK Seminalis Orto Parisi Hibiscus Mahajád Crivelli R Pantheon Roma Ligne St Barth West Indies Portrait of a lady Malle ❤
I could have swear that Gourmand Coquin is on the list. For me it’s a masterpiece, a 10/10, I don’t know exactly where it would fit, but definitely an all time favorite.
Yes!! I couldn’t decide which video I was going to put it in…Masterpiece or my 10/10. And I forgot to put it in either!! 🤦♀️🤣I blame trying to hurry and film / edit these before going out of town for Spring Break. Oy. 🥰
Another fun video and I find BR540 to be simply spectacular. I feel special when I wear it and my second bottle is on the way from Luckyscent. Like you, I do not smell it here in my area and I have not grown tired of it in the least. I just bought the hair fragrance in it from Nordstrom which I can't wait to try. It's truly a masterpiece imo as well.
I remember smelling Dior Poison for the first first time. It was representative of that era. The 80s, a time of unapologetic maximalism, more is more, and excess....The bigger the hair, the closer to God 😉. It was THE perfume you didn't know you needed, but, overnight everyone was wearing it. I still wear Hypnotic Poison. I had a similar experience with Angel in the 90s. Wow. I had never smelled anything like it. Love it still today, even though I rarely wear it. Between the fragrances and music, it's as close as we can get to a time machine. Wonderful video 🙌🙌
Great selections. I'm so glad to see Samsara getting a shout out; Guerlain have done a good job in getting their modern versions to still smell like the original classics. 👏
I love playing "guess the fragrance"... So fun to have that incorporated in the video. 😂 Great video! I have to go back and catch up on your 10/10 and amber videos.
Loved this video! I agree with so many of these. Chanel no 5 is not a fragrance I can wear, but it is 💯 a masterpiece. Any perfume still at the top of the most sold list after 50 years definitely qualifies. ❤
Loved this Video Chris! ❤ I’ve had Chanel No. 5 L‘Eau on my mind for years and finally bought it two weeks ago. It will be a staple in my collection. To me it has nothing of an old woman‘s perfume, it’s just such a sophisitcated freshie 😊
Good job! I would probably also add Poison or Hypnotic Poison by Dior and Molecule 01. Your list is a reminder of what a wonderful art perfumery really is. How blessed we are to have this daily joy of picking out and wearing beautiful creations❤ Sending love from Norway!
Good morning from the west coast of Canada 🥰. Such a lovely video to enjoy as I have my morning coffee ☕️ ❤. You mentioned so many favourites that I’ve worn in the past and present. I had Angel when it first came out - I received it as a gift. And while I never really loved it, I used it up because I recognized how unique and special it was. Two that I would dearly love to own, as I’ve sampled and loved them so much, are Babycat and Lost Cherry. I will likely repurchase the lovely Chanel 5 Eau Premiere one day. It was an instant love and large bottle purchase when it first came out. You’ve got me interested in the EBK Patchouli one! Thank you, Chris 😍❤
Hi Sharon! You are probably still in the throes of colder weather like me. And I’m on my second bottle also of Eau premiere. I tore through the first one and not wearing this new bottle as much as I used to but love having it as a classy go to. 🥰🥰
Hi Chris, I was waiting for this one. I love your choices! My favorites are Coromandel and Alexandrite N Patchouli...I absolutely adore both. I get so many compliments whenever I wear either one. As you noted, the performance of ANP is outstanding. Thanks for sharing.
This is so exciting to hear someone else not only wears ANP but loves it!! I can’t believe I’m the only one blabbing about this masterpiece!! 😂🤷♀️🤷♀️🥰🥰
Glad you mentioned Angel- I repurchased maybe 20 bottles in 1999 and then stopped, once realised everyone smells angel everywhere. My masterpieces, no particular order: 1. Angel 2. Kenzo Jungle Elephant 3. CK Euphoria 4. F.M Musk Ravageur 5. Initio Side Effect 6. Xerjoff Alexandria II 7. Guerlain Spiritueuse DV 8. BR 540 9. Initio Absolute Aphrodisiac 10. Xerjoff Cruz Del Sur II
Ivory Route is a power house! I love it so much. Very potent, a little goes a long way. I had worn it last week and after doing my laundry I could still smell it on my top. It’s a scent that makes me feel peaceful, it smells like when you’re going through an aromatherapy session at a spa. I also adore Gris Dior, I received my bottle last week and I was in awe ❤ I also have Angelique Noir, it’s beautiful. To me Ylang in Gold by M. Micallef is another masterpiece ❤Thank you for mentionning Samsara, this one in the old bottle, it is very special to me because it was the first fragrance I tried at a perfume counter in a department store after moving to Canada in 1984 🇨🇦 ❤ My other masterpieces: Oud Satin Mood by MFK; La Danza delle Libelulle by Nobile 1942; Cacao Porcelana by Attelier Matteri; Tommi Iommi Monkey Special by Xerjoff (I share it with my husband); Chanel Chance Eau Tendre (so feminine, a compliment magnet); Chanel Coco Noir; Lady Million by Paco Rabanne…
I consider a masterpiece one that, as you said, is unique and showcases a new kind of profile, or else is outstanding in its category, but additionally it must be an enduring fragrance. The ones I consider masterpieces from my collection include Dior Poison (the OG) and Joop! Femme (a vintage bottle). Both still thrill me and fill me with wonder every time I wear them. Of the more recently released fragrances I own I'd probably include Black Orchid edp as a masterpiece. So different when it first arrived on the market. I also have to agree with you on some of your selections including Chanel No.5 (I have the edp, but I also love the L'Eau) and LADDM, and there are plenty you've mentioned that I love although may not agree they qualify as masterpieces. Lovely video. 😊😊
Love this list! I think that Shalimar is one of the few fragrances that I’ve found where you & I have wildly different tastes. I’m one of those that would consider it my signature scent (if I had one, that is). I’ve been wearing it for 30 years now! 😀
Hello my friend! I’m actually wearing it today!! (Philtre). The original I LOVE LOVE in the dry down. It’s just that opening that isn’t my favorite. 🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️😘
Hello Chris, this was an interesting selection of masterpiece fragrances from your collection. A few I anticipated and some were a total surprise. I would have expected Black Orchid over Lost Cherry and I wouldn't have guessed that you would choose a fragrance from EBK. Thanks for an enjoyable view today! Have a great day! 💛~ Jenn
Yes! I love surprises and to keep you guys on your toes. I don’t own Black Orchid and I kept it to those I own which helped. I had to tip my hat to Lost Cherry…..no one was doing a boozy gourmand cherry so that deserves some credit. And the cherry frenzy is still going strong all these years later (because of LV). ❤️🥰😀
I love that you mentioned Samsara. The red bottle that you have was so beautiful! I wish I had bought back up bottles of that. It is now sold in the bee bottle (I think) and smells horrible! Why they reformulated it I have no idea. So sad! 😕 Great video, very informative!
Great video! Such a joy to learn about fragrances, I’ve purchased several samples thus far and a few bottles, thank you for helping to broaden my knowledge and make it such a fun hobby, truly grateful for your time and your opinions which I value.❤️
Great choices and very objective, I loved your Video! I would consider giving Samsara a chance sometimes. It was so not my thing for a long time, it even made me a tad depressed! This year I just sampled it to refresh my memory and was instantly blown away🎉 What a beauty! Complex, mysterious, tempting, wintery, smooth ❤
I agree that Babycat is a masterpiece. It’s such a strange fragrance to wear. On my skin up against my nose, all I smell is heavy pepper with a bit of vanilla. Not a fan at all. But what is this I’m smelling all around me? This heavenly vanilla that I want to keep getting whiffs. Im so glad the scent bubble is different than what I smell on my skin. 😊
Thank you for introducing me to Babycat, bought it completely blind last week (was available on the UK website as a new product) and I absolutely LOVE it! ❤🔥😍
Hi Patricia! I love hearing from all of the ppl who have tried Alexandrite. It’s never talked about in the community and like you say….it’s outstanding. ❤️❤️🥰
Wow, you look just like a Spring Day! Lovely. I am finding that I do love a perfume with some spice, which surprised me. One of my favs has the bay leaf note and another has a ginger note that is fairly prominent, both with vanilla. Neither would necessarily be called a masterpiece, of course, but I've almost finished both large bottles over the past winter, just a couple of spritzes left in each. Some of those you mentioned are intriguing! Thanks, Chris. Have a great week! ~Cynthia
@@ThePerfumeNest I bet Lalique Le Parfum is probably the only one on the market with that bay leaf note, right? The one with ginger would be Jimmy Choo Illicit. I'm more partial to Jimmy Choo Fever, but the Illicit is very nice as well. I get the ginger in the opening, though it does fade after a couple of hours and goes to the vanilla, honey and caramel. Have you had Illicit?
Loved this video! I agree with so many of your picks. Delina, BR540, Babycat, Angelique Noire, and Lost Cherry will always be in my top favorites from my Collection!
Chanel nr5 eau de parfum is always in my collection. To me is one of the best parfum because it’s classic, this doesn’t smell old fashion, the scent never gets outdated, to me it’s the most beautiful creamy iris with a beautiful citrusy dry down. Superb parfum!
Oh, goody. If you're restricting it to perfumes that you have, then I don't have to choose Chanel No. 5, Angel, Opium or Black Orchid (though I have to begrudgingly admit that they fit the other criteria). So those perfumes that I have that I consider masterpieces (perfumes unlike anything else at the time and artfully made) are: Guerlain's Shalimar, Mitsouko, L''Heure Bleue, Apre L' Ondee and Nahema. This latter being a unique rose fragrance and the only perfume that an actual rose was named after. My other five would be L' Air du Temps by Nina Ricci, Poison by Dior, Champagne/Yvresse by Yves Saint Laurent, L' Eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake and Pikovaya Dama by Xeroff,
My top masterpiece fragrances for men are 1. Creed aventus 2. YSL Kouros 3. Dior Homme intense or Le Parfum 4. YSL La Niut l Homme 5 Terre d Hermes 6. Love it or hate it RL Polo Green OG 7. Drakkar Noir OG 8. Dior Fahrenheit 9. Armani Aqua d Gio 10. Aqua di Parma OG! Spectacular barbershop scent that I love to wear when it is hot outside! Great video! I have some of the perfumes in my collection!
Thanks! A special someone used to wear most of those! He loved the loud one! But they smelled great on him! Kouros and Fahrenheit were lady magnet! I can still remember the smell! You truly have an amazing channel! Be blessed young lady
I'm a new subscriber and I have watched a few of your videos, you have an impeccable sense of style. This is unrelated to the video but I just wanted to let you know that :) Thank you for sharing.
When I think of masterpiece fragrances, I think of Chanel No. 5, Shalimar, Joy, Angel, Opium, J’dore, and Poison. Original Chloe is still very pretty and office/school appropriate. Chris, could you please explain the difference in No. 5 l’eau and Eau Premiere?
I have never done a side by side of the two; I just remember testing L’eau and thinking “oh my gosh this smells so similar to Eau Premier”. Enough so I really don’t think you need both. They are widely available to test at stores even Sephora so I would recommend wearing them side by side to se what you prefer
Wow, you some gorgeous gems right there😍😍. I also agree with Coromandel, Babycat, BR540 and Chanel no.5😍😍. I used to wear the latter a lot some years back😍😍. Luckily I don’t smell BR540 every where here but I don’t wear it when I go to certain places🤩🤩. I also think Alien Essence Absolu is a masterpiece and I’m looking forward to wearing it this winter😍😍. Stay gorgeous🥰🥰
Good morning. I think I need to go back to perfume lovers school because I’ve missed so many masterpieces. Believe it or not I only tried br540 last year (and I do smell it everywhere now) and delina also. But I’m almost embarrassed to admit I don’t know what Chanel No 5 smells like. I don’t care for aldehydes usually so I was never interested. But it’s a masterpiece so I need to at least sniff it I think!!
I always learn from you, Chris, and get so many ideas! My favorite masterpiece is Portrait of a Lady by Frederic Malle. It’s full of notes I struggle with but it is so incredibly blended, it’s a piece of classical art with a modern flair and relevance.
I almost wish I never clicked your video because now I’m bingeing- and I watch about 10:fragrance YTers. This list was perfection! I get it! So many on your list I feel the same as you, I recognize a masterpiece but I may not enjoy all the notes..delina, babycat. I watched your 10/10 and now I feel like I have homework as there were a few I never heard of before. Great job! ❤
I was never a patchouli fan until I came upon EBK’s Alexandrite n Patchouli. So good that I bought a bottle. EBK is underrated. They produce masterpieces!
Hi Chris! 😊❤If it wasn’t for you, I would not know the utter perfection of Alexandrite Patchouli -Thank you for this! I truly agree. 🥰This is a masterpiece!
My Essential Parfums sample set and I am sure that Bois Imperial has a huge chance to become new Baccarat Rouge in perfume community. It's just perfect.
Chris, I think you will like Blouse from YSL from Quentin Bisch; it is very similar to Delina but it doesn’t have the rhubarb note, instead it has an angelica note. It is lovely.
I dont think there is anyone like her who knows fragrance. When it comes to fragrances I appreciate someone pick especially can explains notes so well! Most of her recommendations so far speak to so I am going to load up 😅. I was wondering if you can find a fragrance that is similar to Hanai Mori “Him” you can find it still in stand alone fragrance shops at really high price. I am looking for an alternative.Plzzzzzz!!!
Hi there! Wow you just made my day thank you! 🙏🏻🥹I love all the Hanae Mori releases. Him is still sold on their website. I just checked…😉👏🏻I don’t know what shipping fees are
awesome list i love guerlain. i also love cuir baluga angelique noire does not smell like vanilla on me only green soapiness which is quite disappointing. i really dont like chanel fragrances. i do agree with your masterpiece list for sure!
Hi Chris! Finally catching up on your videos 😊 You've got so many good ones here! Shalimar is an absolute masterpiece, although it took me quite some time to get used to it but the dry-down is so beautiful I had to persevere 😂 My favourite flanker is the latest one, Tonka Millesime 😍
I hate when a winner is discontinued. Have you tried YSL Libe? It's got this thing that I can't describe but I keep going back for more. Definitely a 10.
Hey it’s me living dangerously again! 😂 watching you again this week as I’m about to go to sleep! And of course I want to dream about masterpieces! 😆😆😉😉
Well, FK did something right with 540 as I can *never* decide if I like it or not. I don't like the cotton candy hit but I do like aspects of the scent. // I love the NR for him scents, the EDP especially. // Delina does deserve her love. I appreciate longevity in a perfume, and Delina does it. I, too, love all three versions. Wouldn't want to wear it often but I do love it. // My SOTD is a Creed ... Angelique Encens. I found a decant in the archives to use up. The quality of older formulation Creed knocks me off my feet! // I was thinking Samsara for a Quality Scent and ... there she is. ;). Nice List!
I guessed Chanel no5 and lost cherry 🍒 LOL SHALAMAR is indeed a masterpiece and I don’t like it either I have dossier version of creed aventus for men and I can’t stop smelling my husband when he wears it ! So if the original smells even remotely like this version WOW 🤩
Thanks Chris! I still need to get my nose on Alexandrite N Patchouli, I ended up getting a partial off the Ruby N Vanilla Intense, which I absolutely love. And I should really get my nose on the Shalimar line, see if any resonate with me.
@@ThePerfumeNest That's really good to know, thanks Chris! I'm finding that my nose is developing a lot since I've started this whole adventure. And, I'm noticing that I'm pretty seasonal 😂, getting so into the mood for more floral/fruity/lighter scents at the moment. But I do love a good dark one too. I'm all over the place 😅
Can’t wait to try an EBK! Love my Shalimar edt and adp, and OG Angel is a fave, but I like the new one as well. Love soo many I refuse to count my collection 🙃!!
Babycat is discontinued per a response I got from YSL customer service about a month ago. Holt Renfrew in Canada has this, but they will only ship within Canada.
New subscriber and new to the fragrance community. This was so interesting. My mother used to like Shalimar. It was so sweet hearing about your grandmother’s scent. I’m trying to learn about perfumes and trying to decide what exactly I like and why. Pretty tough, surprisingly. Watching all the You Tube I can to learn. Thank you for all the information you provide. I enjoyed your Vanilla podcast. I do know I like that scent.
Hi Cheryl! Thank you so much for subscribing and supporting my channel! Well it’s also very important to try things on. Maybe you can take a small list from the videos you watch and go sample them at Sephora, Ulta and the department stores; give them a proper wear. Blind buying is never anything I recommend. It can be a very expensive lesson. 🤦♀️😉😂🤷♀️
Hello my dear Chris! Beautiful list! I was waiting for it. I kind of knew some before the video 😂😂 because I have watched all your videos. Still looking for baby cat 😕
@@ThePerfumeNest thank you Chris! I already bought a sample and then I got desperate 🤣🤣. I got myself yesterday Chanel premier thinking about what you said about it, and another Delina haha 😛
Hi Chris, about No.5, have you tried the Parfum? I love them all, except the EDP 😅 Eau Premiere is my most worn, but Le Parfum is such a beauty ❤ I would make that one the masterpiece

I also have to agree with you on some of your selections including Chanel No.5 (I have the edp, but I also love the L'Eau) and LADDM, and there are plenty you've mentioned that I love although may not agree they qualify as masterpieces. Lovely video. 😊😊
Thank you so much!!🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Love this list!
Hello Chris,
this was an interesting selection of masterpiece fragrances from your collection.
My favourite masterpiece is Chanel no5 although it’s not my favourite fragrance to wear ❤
Hugs ❤
Agree.
I love that you mentioned Samsara. The red bottle that you have was so beautiful! I wish I had bought back up bottles of that. It is now sold in the bee bottle (I think) and smells horrible! Why they reformulated it I have no idea. So sad! 😕 Great video, very informative!
I know I am SO GLAD I splurged for the original formulation. The bottle is so pretty also.
Great video! Such a joy to learn about fragrances, I’ve purchased several samples thus far and a few bottles, thank you for helping to broaden my knowledge and make it such a fun hobby, truly grateful for your time and your opinions which I value.❤️
Aw!! Thank you for stopping by! 🙏🏻🥰🥰
So many great gems in this video! I love coming to your channel I’m always discovering something you ❤❤
Aw! Thanks for stopping by Moriaima!
Aw thank you! And yes…I love the dry down. 🙌😂
And I love pepper so you can imagine I’m in heaven!!! ❤️🥰🥰 The sillage is wickedly good yes.
Thank you for introducing me to Babycat, bought it completely blind last week (was available on the UK website as a new product) and I absolutely LOVE it! ❤🔥😍
Its not available
Oh it’s special isn’t it!!!🙌
Alexandrite Patchouli, Coromandel & Baby Cat are outstanding!!! Thank you Chris for sharing your thoughts.
Hi Patricia! I love hearing from all of the ppl who have tried Alexandrite. It’s never talked about in the community and like you say….it’s outstanding. ❤️❤️🥰
Great video and great choices 😊 I would add BDK Gris Charnel. I have never smelled anything similar.
You are right! 👏🏻❤️
Initio Side Effect is very similar. I've had both.
🧡💜❤️ Very exciting video. Thank you. ❤️💜🧡
Thank you! 🙏🏻🥰
Taking notes with this video! If I don’t have them, I’ll be ordering samples!
You have so many good ones yourself!!!🥰🥰🥰
Happy Sunday. Woke up to this notification... 👩🏾💻☕️ ready to add to wishlist👍🏽
Aw! Hello beautiful! 🥰
~Cynthia
Lalique for the bay leaf….ok which one is the ginger one??🥰
@@ThePerfumeNest I bet Lalique Le Parfum is probably the only one on the market with that bay leaf note, right? The one with ginger would be Jimmy Choo Illicit. I'm more partial to Jimmy Choo Fever, but the Illicit is very nice as well. I get the ginger in the opening, though it does fade after a couple of hours and goes to the vanilla, honey and caramel. Have you had Illicit?
@@frontporchwigchat6260 no I haven’t ….I don’t think. I’ll try it when I’m in Sephora next
Ginger-have you tried Dior Poison Girl Unexpected? That’s a yummy ginger
@@sweetpeace5 No, I hadn't even heard of that one, sounds lovely. Unfortunately, it's out of my price range, but I appreciate the suggestion!
Loved this video! I agree with so many of your picks. Delina, BR540, Babycat, Angelique Noire, and Lost Cherry will always be in my top favorites from my
Collection!
Thank you!!!🙏🏻🥰
A little goes a long way with Angel indeed!! I'm certainly with you on Angelique Noir and Shalimar too. 🥰 Almost as stunning as you Chris. 🧡
Aw! Wow that was so kind. 🥰🙏🏻
Chanel nr5 eau de parfum is always in my collection. To me is one of the best parfum because it’s classic, this doesn’t smell old fashion, the scent never gets outdated, to me it’s the most beautiful creamy iris with a beautiful citrusy dry down. Superb parfum!
I agree. Have you tried the Parfum? I hear it’s beautiful. ❤️
My other five would be L' Air du Temps by Nina Ricci, Poison by Dior, Champagne/Yvresse by Yves Saint Laurent, L' Eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake and Pikovaya Dama by Xeroff,
Oh my gosh so many I thought about adding them to the list! Yes ! Brilliant! Especially L’Air de Temps. 🙌👏🏻👏🏻
I’ve always wanted to try Nahema. Esp in that gorgeous bottle. 🙌
Wow. I love your list!!!💯❤️
Thanks! A special someone used to wear most of those! He loved the loud one! But they smelled great on him! Kouros and Fahrenheit were lady magnet! I can still remember the smell! You truly have an amazing channel! Be blessed young lady
Soooo happy to see Angelique Noir on this list 🥰😍 and LDDDM too 🔥🔥🔥
Yes!!!🥰🙏🏻🙌
I'm a new subscriber and I have watched a few of your videos, you have an impeccable sense of style. This is unrelated to the video but I just wanted to let you know that :)
Thank you for sharing.
Aw wow thank you so much! What a lovely comment! Made my day!!!🙏🏻❤️❤️
@@ThePerfumeNest You are most welcome :) May I please make a video suggestion?
@@KelanJ29534 you bet!!
@@ThePerfumeNest Please review Elie Saab Le Parfum and Miller Harris Scherzo

Happy Sunday Chris ❤
Hello my beautiful friend. 🥰
You never disappoint Chris! Funny cause i thoughtt of Samsara when u pulled out Shalimar lol great vid
Aw!! Thank you!!!👏🏻👏🏻🥰🙌❤️❤️❤️😂
L'Oréal......they work for profit only......I used to work in the company.....the stories I could say 😮😅
So many iconic fragrances! I really enjoyed watching this along with your 10/10 video! So fun to hear your take on these scents 🥰
Thank you my beautiful friend!❤️
When I think of masterpiece fragrances, I think of Chanel No. 5, Shalimar, Joy, Angel, Opium, J’dore, and Poison. Original Chloe is still very pretty and office/school appropriate. Chris, could you please explain the difference in No. 5 l’eau and Eau Premiere?
Agree 💯
Oh you are so right about Essence Abdolute my friend. 🥰🥰
For me is black Orchide .. still loving it ❤
Awesome. I know many ppl feel the same.
Its not skanky...I love that!
🤣
Good morning. I think I need to go back to perfume lovers school because I’ve missed so many masterpieces. Believe it or not I only tried br540 last year (and I do smell it everywhere now) and delina also. But I’m almost embarrassed to admit I don’t know what Chanel No 5 smells like. I don’t care for aldehydes usually so I was never interested. But it’s a masterpiece so I need to at least sniff it I think!!
Well if you are ever in Sephora or a department store you can give it a spritz. 🥰🥰and the flankers while you are at it.
@@ThePerfumeNest yes. It’s a plan.
I too remember exactly where I was and what I was wearing when I first smelled br540!
Right? 😉🥰
Apart from the eloquent and knwoledgable description of your parfumes, your out fo focus camera is really flattering !
Ah thx!!! 🙏🏻❤️
Hello Chris😍 Great Video❤ Beautiful fragrances 🤩You Look Amazing 😘Happy Thursday 🥰
Aw Thank you Judy!
I always learn from you, Chris, and get so many ideas!
My favorite masterpiece is Portrait of a Lady by Frederic Malle. It’s full of notes I struggle with but it is so incredibly blended, it’s a piece of classical art with a modern flair and relevance.
Hi Anna!! Aw thank you! And yes. 💯Portrait of a Lady is a masterpiece. I don’t have a FB but it would be on my list if I did. 🥰🥰
@@ThePerfumeNest I’m on a real Frederic Malle kick these days. Such an incredible house!
Great job! ❤
Aw hi Janice!!! Thank you so much for finding me, watching and leaving such a lovely comment!!🙏🏻❤️❤️🥰
Dior Home EDT original is a masterpiece…my sister’s signature scent!
How cool is that! And I think I own the EDP. Need to sniff the EDT now!!😃😂
Do you mean like the mens Dior Homme? So curious!
It is so good! I wear it on cool spring/ summer days! I feel like it’s very unisex
Great list! I appreciate your objectivity. I haven’t tried any EBKs, but they sound so good. I wish they were more accessible.
Gosh I know! That’s why none made my 10/10 list (points deducted because of that).
I was never a patchouli fan until I came upon EBK’s Alexandrite n Patchouli. So good that I bought a bottle. EBK is underrated. They produce masterpieces!
They do! I have been singing their praises for years!!❤️❤️🥰
What a fabulous list of Master Pieces!! So many loves in this list❤❤
Aw thank you Stacy! I’d LOVE to hear what yours would be. ❤️
Babycat is still available on selfridges. Just bought a bottle this past week.
Thx!!! Yes but now they have added on cray cray taxes and costs it’s not worth it. But thank you! Esp if you live in Europe or the UK
Hi Chris! 😊❤If it wasn’t for you, I would not know the utter perfection of Alexandrite Patchouli -Thank you for this! I truly agree. 🥰This is a masterpiece!
Oh I’m glad you got a chance to sample. I’m shocked it’s never talked about (except me blabbing). 😂
@@ThePerfumeNest I know! I never heard it mentioned til you!
Hey Chris, This was like fragrance jeopardy 😂😂 how fun. I surprised myself and got almost all of them correct woot woot!!!

My Essential Parfums sample set and I am sure that Bois Imperial has a huge chance to become new Baccarat Rouge in perfume community. It's just perfect.
That one is so beautiful yes!!🥰
Cuir Beluga is my favourite vanilla from Guerlain too.😊
Yay!!!!🙌🥰🥰🙏🏻
Burberry Her is nice too.
Yes!!!🙌
Chris, I think you will like Blouse from YSL from Quentin Bisch; it is very similar to Delina but it doesn’t have the rhubarb note, instead it has an angelica note. It is lovely.
Oh yes I love it! I have the long tubey sample. 😂It’s just so pretty with a kick from the pepper. I go back and forth if I’m going to buy a FB
Pause at 4.20.....yep Angel
🙌❤️I know you appreciate that one.

Hi Chris! Finally catching up on your videos 😊 You've got so many good ones here! Shalimar is an absolute masterpiece, although it took me quite some time to get used to it but the dry-down is so beautiful I had to persevere 😂 My favourite flanker is the latest one, Tonka Millesime 😍
Yes I agree! That’s why I have so many flankers of it. My favorite is Shalimar MVP. The Tonka flanker sold out before I could scoop it up. 😉
I hate when a winner is discontinued. Have you tried YSL Libe? It's got this thing that I can't describe but I keep going back for more. Definitely a 10.
Yes!! I have a coworker who wears it and she smells so nice!
Hey it’s me living dangerously again! 😂 watching you again this week as I’m about to go to sleep! And of course I want to dream about masterpieces! 😆😆😉😉
😂😂Aw! Thanks for stopping by!
If Dior Homme Intense is too sweet then try Dior Homme Parfum. It adds an Oud note.
Thank you!!
// I was thinking Samsara for a Quality Scent and ... there she is. ;). Nice List!
Oh my gosh I’ve never even heard of that Creed but sounds like I’d love it!!
I really am going to get alexandrite and patchouli thanks Chris!great video!great information!

Uh oh, I am going to have to get my nose on Alexandrite n Patchouli!
Lol. Well no . It’s trouble. 😂
I guessed Chanel no5 and lost cherry 🍒 LOL
SHALAMAR is indeed a masterpiece and I don’t like it either
I have dossier version of creed aventus for men and I can’t stop smelling my husband when he wears it ! So if the original smells even remotely like this version WOW 🤩
We’re getting good at the Fragrantica guessing game aren’t we? 😂

Thanks Chris! I still need to get my nose on Alexandrite N Patchouli, I ended up getting a partial off the Ruby N Vanilla Intense, which I absolutely love. And I should really get my nose on the Shalimar line, see if any resonate with me.
Shalimar is not for everyone that’s for sure, what I know of your favorites….it’s probably not a “Sarah” perfume. 🥰🥰

Babycat is discontinued per a response I got from YSL customer service about a month ago. Holt Renfrew in Canada has this, but they will only ship within Canada.
That’s a bummer
And thank you for reminding me it’s time to do another vanilla series. My last one was two years ago.
Hello my dear Chris! Beautiful list! I was waiting for it. I kind of knew some before the video 😂😂 because I have watched all your videos. Still looking for baby cat 😕
