The TransPennine 68s are performing driver training runs as the Cleethorpes to Manchester route is being extended to Liverpool equipped with 68s EDIT: CrossCountry started in 2007 (15 years ago)
Just the perfect thing to watch after a long day, Just sit back, relax and watch some trains. I love the intro to your videos by the way - it's been pretty much the same since I started watching in 2015 but that's what makes it great👍
Nice, the City if true grit and Steel. This is quite a surprise seeing the Nova 3 sets beginning service on South Pennines route but will be great to see alongside with the Scarborough to Manchester Piccadilly services :-)
The class 220 Voyager's were built between 2000-2001 to replace the HST's and the VXC loco hauled stock but Virgin Cross Country ran for a decade from 1997-2007 and Cross Country is 15 years old since it was established in 2007 replacing Virgin Cross Country and the Central Citylink servers of Central Trains
@@declangaming24 Thank you for clearing that up Declan. I wasn't sure who owned them after 2016. I guess Arriva was successful in having their contract renewed.
Great Video, Make sure to consider going to Hadley Wood on The ECML (Served by LNER, Great Northern, Thameslink, Lumo, First Hull trains and Plenty of freight) Please keep up these banging videos!
great video tornado and i did east midlands parkway to lecister then lecister to birmingham new street and then birmingham new street to derby and then derby to east midlands parkway and i was on east midlands meridan and cross coutry 170
I'm guessing Market Harborough, Chesterfield, Nottingham and Derby were all done so I wouldn't have been with you for Nottingham assuming that was done then as I wasn't around!
I've never been to Sheffield whats it like at that end of the world? I've been to Nottingham and I really do like Nottingham and I've been on a tram at Nottingham. Trams make a City.
unfortunately the EMR 158s wont be going into the new EMR livery as they are all being replaced by class 170s in the near future along with the 156s. I will definitely miss them.
Those Mk. 5 sets really do look good. Caught one of them from York to Scarborough. Not bad to ride in. As for DMUs, I think the class 158 is still my favourite. As for the class 70s, they're ugly.
The 70 seems to get a lot of flack from rail enthusiasts I find. Whilst they may not be the best looking loco running around the network they are certainly one of the better sounding ones when at full chat. Although I think the 68's take the top spot for noise and looks
The TPE 68’s are nice it’s a shame that they couldn’t put them into full service across there network all because of people complaining about the noise the Loco makes. (Which is why they are quite limited on routes) Fancy a class 68 alarm clock anyone? 😂😂
I heard it was the residents at Scarborough who were kicking up a fuss because of the noise, personally I wouldn't mind having a 68 set off next to me every day haha
@@Tornado922 it’s not only Scarborough, York has complained a lot at 1 time, iirc I could go as far as to say Redcar did it as well. (But I cannot fully remember) I mean now they have increased the diagrams to 10 and start spanning Manchester and Liverpool to destinations as well
Voyager 20 was the anniversary of the voyagers introduced in 2001 220016 was the very first Voyager to ever enter service
Great vide as usual!. I saw 220016 on Friday at Cheltenham 😁
Just watched this video.brilliant video, wonderful chatter when you are talking to yourself.had to laugh with you.
Top quality 👍
Very nice video loved the 68 and the 4 engines great work 👍👍

Any word on the route from Manchester-Liv that will take? Chat moss or CLC?
@@Oskarjlee I have no idea at the moment, I’m suspecting it’ll go via Newton-le-Willows (Chat Moss) but I’d like to see it go via Warrington (CLC)
NEW: It will be running via Warrington
@@samsplanestrains5386 Gutted! Local is Huyton and loved seeing them plough through at 90 on the Scarborough services.

After 2007 until 2016 Arriva held the XC circuit. But i'm not sure who owns Cross Country now whether it's still Arriva or some other TOC.
@@DKS225 arriva own them.

And the original Voyagers went into service in late 2001.
Like to go to Sheffield. Including riding on the Sheffield Supertram and Class 399 tram-train.
I haven't done a ride on the tram network as of yet, but I will try and get that done at some stage

Sheffield is a nice enough city, nothing overly great to report though, just like any other city I guess.
The last thing to go through a pigeon's mind, when it head-butts a train - is it's backside!
Haha!
We’re was the trian coming from bound for Nottingham

Hello Tornado922. Out On The Midland Mainline Today.
Hello
Being from cleethorpes, we're use to cancelled services haha
