My brother lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, and he was spared, but some of his friends were not. Blessings to everybody, and I hope they're all safe.
@@TheWorldAccordingtoJim Thank you, Jim! We are in the Charlotte area as well, and we were spared from hardly any damage. Life is carrying on as normal for us, but there are so many in the mountains who will be struggling for months.
@@ItsJoeysworld Absolutely, you guys. These people haven’t ever experienced devastation like this in their communities for at least 100 years. Yeah, the church was just unbelievable!
Old fort will bounce back in no time. I personally know many people in this town. The worse hit areas were really just downtown. Old fort just needs to dig that area of the river deeper when its low with higher walls. Similar to Gatlinburg's style.
@@kayatwood5183 I really hope that people will continue to serve the area 6 to 12 months from now, because you’re right: recovery is going to take a long time
Omg heartbreaking 💔 prayers for everyone affected down there.
Indeed. You really don’t know how devastated the communities are until you actually go into them.
dude this os sp very sad to whatch i'm so grateful you guys are starting to det back on your feet. i know it will take a long while though🤗
Thanks Mike! Lord willing, these towns will be back on their feet by next summer.
How heartbreaking! That poor church too….how expensive to rebuild. Thanks for the video.
@@michele.the.quilter6174 Indeed, it was heartbreaking! When you see what the hurricane did up close, it really changes your perspective.
Great footage Dave. It’s so heartbreaking to see all that damage.
Thanks, Mary Ellen. I've seen hurricane damage in coastal regions, but this was jaw-dropping to see it in the mountains.

Ouch, thats a perspective I hadn't seen. Lots to rebuild.
The region is going to be in rebuild mode for at least 1-2 years. The damage is so extensive.
🙏🙏🙏
Indeed! Keep praying!
Best of luck with the recovery.
@@destinationdero Thankfully, our community was spared a lot of damage.
Thank you Dave for showing another perspective. It's si sad and we really feel for those folks. That church😮, wow!

@@TranquilEarth That is so good to know! I have a feeling that the area will be back and better than ever when it’s all finished.
It is a horrible thing. It is going to take a long time for us to recover.
