Thanks a lot for this reaction! We'll share it on our socials :) For us, story-telling is part of our art, and our vocalist puts a lot of effort into writing lyrics. This song is from our upcoming album Dreams of Lands Unseen about the Ukrainian writer, traveler, photographer, and documentarian Sofia Yablonska. Some phrases in the lyrics are our vocalist's interpretation of Yablonska's travelogues.
This is actually their first release with Napalm. Their previous work was without a label so far. So best to check their own UA-cam Channel for their previous albums.
Hi JTMM, you can pick anything from their catalogue, you will not be disappointed. Great storytelling with no exception. A special highlight for me is their EP "Bestia" which they did in collab with the band 'Ersedu'. The song 'Mermaids' off that EP got quite some attention, featuring the singers of both bands together.
Yep you definitely need to check more of their stuff out 👌🏻. They have 3 previous self released albums and a split EP they made with fellow Ukrainian friends, Ersedu. Helle and the boys are amazing artists and very kind hearted human beings 🙏🏻. This is their first release with Napalm Records. Can’t wait for the album release next month 🥳
Mate, just discovered your channel and subbed immediately just after seeing the channel name - I love when people do lyrical breakdowns alongside with Music reactions. Having said that, gotta strongly recommend the band called Saphath - it’s a pretty ambitious upstart band and one of the strongest bands out there lyrically - the lyric video for the song “Spider Queen’s Call” is a great place for you to start - it’s the band’s Halloween present to their audience, made together with ex-Cradle of Filth guitarist Richard Shaw (super thematic for Halloween lol). You definitely want to check it out, believe me
Been a rough year for them. They had to get the hell out of Ukraine. I like them quite a bit but haven't heard this yet. Good one. Admittedly, I haven't looked close enough at the lyrics. Now I need to go back for a closer look. Yes, you should hear more of them. Thanks!
They never left Ukraine, this was filmed in Kyiv. They have a making of for this and another video on their channel, they actually lost power during filming at one point.
@Jill Johansen yes you're right most likely about the filming, but I think a couple members left at least temporarily, they may have returned, and after thinking I realized I was thinking partly of a different band too.
@@spaceknave They will be touring, I know they (as well as 1914, another Ukrainian band with a WW1 theme) will be at Hellfest, but I don't think any of them like, left the country as refugees or anything like that, most of them would be unable to because they are men of fighting age. But bands in Ukraine are sometimes given special permission to tour to help spread awareness and such.

That is awesome, I truly enjoyed this and look forward to covering you more!
I've been a fan since Alga - what a powerful creation. Keep them coming - I'll be watching and listening. Stay well and safe.
Definitely worth checking out more of their stuff, great band!
Yeeeeeees bring on the Ignea love

Ignea is another great band to come out of Ukraine, they have become a staple on my music playlist.
