Thank You Everyone for the support! The channel is growing like crazy, awesome stuff.
Sorry for the long post but I get a good feeling about what may be ahead. Even if not, you have a great car
R/T Life that exhaust sounds really cool
R/T Life I think you’ve maxxxed the Charger bro
@@HoneybeeApiary He's got more. He can still have Alot of fun
Started watching when I bought my 2012 challenger rt! Sick edits
I had headers no cats, some tiny 3" turbo type mufflers and very short pipes kicked out the sides and belled to 4" at the end on my old Power Wagon. My neighbors hated me, just sitting there idling it was loud and when/if I got on it more than 10% throttle, it was loud as hell. But it sounded so great at full throttle, I didn't care. Along with a K&N air filter, that thing was about as loud as it could be. One of the few good things about that truck.
That's friggin awesome man. Nothing like a great exhaust setup on a v8
I salute you for doing your exhaust THE RIGHT WAY. It sounds absolutely fantastic. I have commented on other Chargers where the owners thought that mid deletes and reso removals were the thing to do just because it made the car louder. I've said before, there's good loud and bad loud. Yours falls in the good column.
Keep rollin'
Agree with you 💯!! Not a big fan of just deleting
Wow.. sounds 200% better.. the clogged cat and squinched exhaust would explain why you saw your low numbers despite Cam and 392 intake.. very excited to see updated dyno numbers now 👍👍
yah that was def not helping at all! This new setup is a big time upgrade.... thank you
Never clicked on a video so fast in my damn life!!!! Been waiting all weekend
hahahaha thanks man! Def happy with this setup
@@RTLife did u dyno it yet
I CLICKED ON IT SOON AS THE ANNOUNCEMENT WENT UP!!LOL
Just Beautiful!!
Like the intro music. All about your trusty steed!
I’m glad you went this direction. These are the exact same mods that I have planned. Amazing!
At 1:53, sounded like you get a little emotional. Love it. You’re surrounded by Great people.
Going have to start calling her The ol’ blue Dragon. Sounds like she’s breathing 🔥!!
What a great Vid!! I went last month and Al gave me some great suggestions for all the mods I wanna get done. Of course I told them I learned of JRE from your channel. I didnt realize I live 10 mins away. Al gave me a really good price quote for everything... I'm talking CAI, LT headers, full exhaust with cats, suspension, tuning, etc!! I'm telling ya, this is gonna be amazing!! Thanks to you and the content you're creating!!!
On my GT500, I had Dynatech 1 7/8" LT headers & 3" X-over, into a 3" Magnaflow exhaust...to the tune of 720RW HP & TORQUE (850 at engine) pushing exactly 20psi boost!! YOU NOW have an exhaust that you can grow into, not out of👍
Not to say I told you so, but look back to your post before the shorties...OK, here it is...I TOLD YOU SO😉☺😋
LOL! That's funny - many told me. I just didn't think I would get this far in the modding process. That Gt500 was a beast man
@@RTLife CLASSIC mistake my friend..you just learned a (R/T) Life lesson...there's NO stopping the "horsepower" addiction...so go ALL IN👍
Now that that's settle, let's get that SUPERCHARGER!!
More air out (new exhaust) means there's room for more air in (supercharger)..on second thought, I like you with a Driver's license, so....😆
Hey RT.
That guy knows what he is doing in my opinion. It seems like the right way to go the way you have been building that beast.
Did you go 3in because you may be doing something BIGGER later😎
If so, it was extremely smart to set it up that way.
Heck even if you're not sure what your next move may or may not be it was a smart move.
It Sounds great and you're moving in the perfect direction in my opinion.
I wasn't sure of your future plans or what you may or may not be thinking but that exhaust keeps you open for staying AS IS or going "full mod"
I love it!!
I have put that set up on 4 5.7 cars in the last year. It seems that finally people are getting that the 5.7 is a good build engine.
No comment on the next big mod :) - but I do like having that 3" pipe incase I decide to go down that route! We will see what the future holds. Thank you for the support
@@RTLife
No worries bud.
Expected " no comment"😎 but you do have a great car and your channel ( you) deserve the support.
Welcome to the LT crew. You'll never look back. Can't wait to see some dyno numbers!
Def a big difference! Dyno video is going up later
Best RT I've heard in my life. And that's via speakers! In person would be even more monstrous!
Thank you! I really appreciate it. Drives so awesome now to
Make some noise in this joint! Horsepower, meet r/t life, r/t life, meet horsepower. Sounds great, glad you were able to do this! Can’t wait to see the numbers!
So can I get same setup for my 2017 hemi ram 1500? If so, Also can I get these long tube headers before I get my tuner? Can't get them both at the same time, a little tight on cash, it's one or the other.
Been a subscriber and follower since you only had a hundred or 2 subscribers. Crazy to see you almost have 30k. I had a 2015 5.7 charger, so it was definitely a joy to watch your videos. Sad to say I traded it in because it was just giving me too many problems, (Chrysler is not known to have good electronics). I drive a 2018 civic type r now, but I still follow your videos and love what's become of your hemi. It looks good and sounds mean as hell. Good stuff man keep it up. From a Type R guy.
Damn man, sorry to hear you had issues with that RT. I do appreciate the support from the get go though. Thank you very much - Hope that R treats you better
3in all the way! Makes a huge difference! I have the SLP Loudmouth 1 on my 2015 and it’s crazy loud!
hahaha it's def awesome - hearing all the pops & everything. Really cool stuff!
Hey man a little something to look forward to, dont forget a thing about magnaflows is, yes they perform amazing but brand new out of the box, they are a little quiet. About a month from now they will be much louder. This is an effect with all new mufflers but magnaflow in particular go from really quiet to beast mode over time
It's actually pretty loud right now - can't imagine it being even louder! Def a great performance setup though, no doubt about it
Now big blue really breathing good you should be over 400 rwhp now dyno time fam let’s do this
The dyno numbers are def coming - Many will be happy!
Sounds awesome glad you corrected issues that you didn't know you had. Definitely awesome to find someone truthful even if it hurts. So I know your gonna tune and get the power you wanted. Thanks for sharing
Finally you got rid of the crappy shorty headers I don't know why anybody uses them
they were def a nice upgrade over stock but as the need for more power grew I knew they would have to go
Great video bro. They are truly a thing of beauty. It's a shame they can't be seen - BUT - they can certainly be heard.
oh yah, they def give the hemi a big time voice now!
Man definitely can’t go wrong with Dynatech. I have them installed on my 2007 Charger Super Bee combined with the Flowmaster 40 series and lord it’s just so awesome to hear it all the time!!! The custom tune also helps improve power and breathing.
I’m doing my Uber so I’ll watch win I get home just leaving a comment for now !!! but you convinced me I knew I was going have to soon that’s why I got the 3 inch exhaust so I’m Ordering my mines this Wednesday so I can get my full gains
The 3" is def the way to go! Let me know how it all works out for you
R/T Life will do got the srt manifold as well
I have a feeling this is going to unlock your car in a big way. All those mods are finally going to come alive, and you ought to see the kind of big numbers you expected last time.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh YES! It totally sounds fucking amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad you went to Janetty Racing instead of going to Meineke. I would've NEVER did that, in the first place!!! There's cars are on a pedestal (at least mine is... Can't speak for others) and no way in hell, am I going to allow just ANYONE to touch my shit!!! You're in GREAT hands now that you're with Ted!
OH HELL I AGREE.Ted's guys had to remove and reinstall all the mods on my Challenger I had done by what I thought were good shops. I paid twice-once to have it installed and then again to have it installed RIGHT! I learned the hard way :(
Do you have chop with the greene cam and the new setup.. Can you put it on a video.. Would like to hear..
That exhaust set up look legit!👍👍👍👍 that rumble though 👌🏼
yah the exhaust really sounds great! Big upgrade
In person it roars like a LION!
I see i see love the long tubes the only thing that sucks is now the dip stick hole is covered. Can't complain the power difference is going to be there.
That Blue RT sounds wayyyyyyy better than the shorty headers and 2 inch Flowmaster exhaust it had previously. It just sounds wayyyyyy more vicious with those Longtubes.
oh yah! This is def a much better performance setup & sounds so damn mean
Bite your head off vicious-I heard them at Jannetty's shop when he cranked them up.
Ha Ha you're so WELCOME!!! love the new exhaust Big Blue deserved the best.I imagine everyones gonna want more details and DYNO NUMBERS. There's a whole lotta stuff that went on behind the scenes so start TALKING. LOL
You are the man! Thank you for always supporting & pushing this channel forward. The man behind the curtain!
Awesome exhaust setup that is complete from front to back
yah this is the way to go! Smooth flowing all the way through
nice job but they had to do some custom bending to make it fir perfectly-Ted at Jannetty's is a freakin perfectionist.
Do you remember qhen you had this setup if it made a raspy/crackling sound when accelerating around town? I just had long tubes put on with cat less mids and the super 10 Flowmasters have a really loud raspy sound when accelerating.
Congrat’s man , so happy for ya !! Def a game changer , sounds way better !!!!!
This is really a big upgrade, thanks man! The gains are def noticeable
Was they the actual long tubes you used in the video? Because they had round ports that don’t match the Eagle Style heads
Bill Sorenson I was just watching and thinking the same thing. I was scrolling through the comments looking to see if it had been asked lol.
Morgan McCombs Yep those round ports are for the older style Hemi heads
Bro that setup looks amazing and sounds good too. Big shoutout to those guys for giving you the best knowledge as well as you for sharing it. That should help with those dyno numbers for sure.
yah this was a solid upgrade no doubt about it! Both of them have been a big big help for me & this channel
I’ve been debating about my exhaust as well
Ted's been a godsend - he always has time to talk and give expert advice. Not shy however to explain in layman's terms if your heading down the path to a bad mod.
P Mac what I have seen since RT has been working with them, they seem to be very informative when come to these cars.
Now THIS is how a muscle car should sound! Perfect set up
If it's too loud , you could easily put a straight through resonator back by the tail pipes, and it would knock it down a little bit. With virtually no sacrifice of horsepower. My exhaust is very similar to yours, except I still have the stock straight through resonators on the back, and it's still fairly loud. So I'm sure your exhaust is a tad loud. So maybe some 2015 and newer rear resonators would work great. Just my two cents worth
Man this thing sounds awesome. I have watched to many of these now and they try to straight pipe them and even on camera they sound like crap . This one is nice. Low deep rumble at idle then move bi+ch when you open it up .
Wow huge difference. Sounds healthy. I think I'm gonna have to follow suit bro. Car is really coming together.
Thank you! This is def a solid upgrade no doubt about it. I appreciate the support
Hey great footage & glad your happier now with your new setup. Keep up all the awesome work. Nothing but blessing to you & family
Thanks man, I really appreciate the support! This setup is def way better performance wise
Welcome to the long tube club!! Jba long tubes, high flow mids, and borla s types my way.
I'm loving the shorty's now that its tuned but I might get 3" sometime
The shorty headers really wake up the hemi! The 3" will def help
@@RTLife but I'm just on a 91 octane tune for now I'll get custom probably this summer
About time! I love the way mine sound and I can only imagine with cam which I am lacking. I already get tons of compliments on my set up. Finally you got the long tube headers. I have JLB long tube, JLB hi flow, mid muffler delete, resonator delete. Drone don’t bother me anyway
That is a hell of a setup you have going! Def a big time upgrade in power
Your exhaust pipes stock?(2.25) and have you noticed any power difference?
Mohammad Alsafi yes it is 2.25. Not sure on horsepower since I’ve never put in on a dyno but I can tell there is hella more torque which is definitely noticeable. I do also have a Hemifever 93 octane tune as well.
It's about time you stepped up! Sounds amazing!
thanks man! Def happy about doing this
@@RTLife I was wondering what you were thinking, going with those shorties. Plus you had Mieneke do the install??? You must've been having a bad day.
Is it louder than when u did a muffler and resonator delete ?
Heck yeah! Awesome!!! I'm lovin it! So happy to see you do this setup!! Sounds great brotha!
What a big difference! Def a big time upgrade no doubt about it
Thanks man, I really appreciate the support
@@RTLife always bro! Your car just keeps getting better and better man!
@R/T Life do you have a link for these long tube headers? Only ones I can find are for up to 2013 Chargers. I have a 16.
awesome cant wait to see the numbers!
Great set up I called it I thought it look like magnaflow exhaust congrats buddy I'm looking to go bigger with a srt8 later down the road old school 5sp vs the 8sp and like the new theme music and logo sounds western like
Thanks man! You will really enjoy having that SRT engine- beast mode!
More like LION ROAR MODE@@RTLife
Were you able to dyno it? Sounds 100% better. Nice video, always enjoy your conttent. I think you and I are about the same as far as mods go. It's good to see how other cars with similar mods are running.
Yes it was dyno tuned - def going to share the dyno results this week! Thank you for the support - I really appreciate it
@@RTLife who tuned it Jay?
No it was dyno tuned by Jannetty Racing
@@RTLife damn bro why is that? No trust in Jay?
I wanted to work with a shop that could tune it on the dyno. jay is cool but the process of data logging loading up tunes until you're dialed in wasn't my thing.
I just ordered a 3 inch catback exhaust looking to doing headers next do you have a link to the headers and hi flow cat you bought, having a pretty hard time trying to find any charger rt headers with a 3inch collector
I went with Dynatech long tubes & cats - I will try finding a link if available
R/T Life okay thanks I ‘ve found some I believe to be them. fasthemis.com/i-23893319-dynatech-long-tube-headers-mid-pipes-300-challenger-charger-5-7l-hemi-2009-2020.html
That Bee also looks so evil.
Def has that evil smile now!
Is a tuner necessary for this long tube header install to work properly?
Sorry it took me so long to watch this life's been a bear the last couple of days. I knew something good was coming when I saw the Redemption video now I'm even more excited for the new dyno video. I do got to say though that brass bottle opener looks like an otolaryngologist's torture tool
Am I the only Star Trek fan on here who listens to the music in these videos and goes, "Shocka, when the beats fell"?
How much should installation of headers and cat back be?
in new header, , there is no cone where 4 tubes go to one, it is very important for making low pressure from exhaust pulses
Brotha I thought I had subscribed to your channel before, but told ya those long tubes are ther best, had them on my Silver Challenger and it woke it up big time. Sounding good🤘😎
Thanks man for the support! Yah the long tubes were really a solid upgrade no doubt about it. Def wakes up the hemi
Could I ask you a favor. But would you subscribe to my channel, I got a music video that will be coming out next week, and super excited about it, the song kicks ass!!! You won't be disappointed, I did the guitar work on it and my buddy Kendal Untamed did the vocals. It would mean a lot to me if you did 🤘😎
You got it
Awesome... thank you!!!!👊😎
Thought about doing a 1 piece aluminum driveshaft??
How is the clearance underneath the car? If it is a tad low and you scrape here and there (even occasionally), you'll end up with more leaks.
I haven't run into any issue yet - NY roads are brutal to
So I’m confused.. I knew you had longtubes but in the twin turbo video you said you had shortys? Did you switch ? And why.. I have shortys planning on a similar build to yours. I wanna go longtubes, cam, and then forced air.
I went back to Shorties to add some room for the turbos
@@RTLife got you. Do you recommend longtubes or shortys for built motor & forced air?
if you're going turbos go shorties - supercharger or N/A go Long Tubes
@@RTLife got you! Gonna look into some now. Just confused on sizing of longtubes and what size it’s supposed to be along with the exhaust system
Just asking for your Opinion WHICH DO YOU THINK OR FEEL IS BETTER CORSA OR BORLA FULL EXHAUST I have a 5.7 as well
You have made me rethink the shorty SRT headers I was going to put on. I am still not sure about a magnaflo system.
I wonder why the old school cars did not have drone?
How’s the header clearance with the Eibach springs? I have the same springs, but not sure i want to install them because im getting long tubes soon.
I haven't run into any issues but they don't seem to poke down as much as I thought
R/T Life what’s the drop on the springs ?
Hey man i know this video is old but is it necessary to do a new exhaust with headers? I have a 17 rt only swapped mids for dynomax bullets and welded quad tips
No it's not necessary, you can keep the current exhaust with headers installed.
Thanks man i may eventually do a full performance exhaust but headers/tune for it seem like a good next step, what hp gains do you think id get from that? Looking at bbk headers
You will pick up at least 20-30whp - the stock exhaust manifolds on 5.7L is terrible. You will notice the gains more on the hwy when you push it hard
What mid pipes did you use because I currently bought headers that has 4 bolt flange but I have jab off-road kids would I be able to cut the mid pipes to fit I’m going catless
Jba
dynatech w/ high flow cats into 3" magnaflow catback
R/T Life thanks man ! With my current mid pipes would I be able to alter them to fit ? They are jba catless mids
Guys thumbs up if he should SUPERCHARGED IT!!!
I wouldn't mind seeing some forced air down the road
very nice sound and the car did pick up finally lol...getting there ma man keep going
Great video, getting longtubes installed soon
Ha nice! I just put kooks long tube and hi flow cats on my scat pack this weekend. Love the setup! Great upgrade.
sounds really good fam. I couldn't wait to click on this video....especially since I just ordered some long tubes for my Mustang this past friday. Now I can't WAIT to get them installed. lucky for us in Indiana we don't have to worry about the emissions. Really glad to see you making moves to get the most out of your car. #Salute
Hold on a minute Thought I was the only one who also owned a Stang and enjoyed this channel LOL
P Mac 😂😂😂 same here. I tune in to this channel ALL the time. Glad to see I’m not the only Stang owner who will admit it. ROCK ON!!!
truth be told love my HEMI but own lots of other American muscle -ford and shhh GM too lol@@traybrook
P Mac 😂 as long as you’re happy and living good that’s all that matters. i like any car that sounds and looks good.
Hey bud how is the quality on the dynatech header with cats are they the regular or supwr flow cats
for my power level the high flow cats are fine - once forced air is added I might do catless for better air flow.
@@RTLife okay so they are the super flow cats i have a camaro with headers but they are speed engineering looking to get these for it with the cats
As far as cost per hp would you do n/a over forced air now? just wondering what you have in $$ compared to a forced air package
Can you talk about why you went high flow cats instead of no cats.. This is something I'm wondering about??? With my build.
I need it street legal so the cats need to be on there - also I don't think I will be making enough WHP for a high flow cat to be a restriction
Do long tubes bolt up to the factory exhaust? I have the resonators deleted and glass packs where the mufflers we're. It already sounds great but headers are my next upgrade.
You would need the long tubes & mid pipes. I do believe some setups will bolt right onto your factory exhaust setup though
Nice. Very nice. $$ So question. I am new to the 392 charger world. But is it normal for the motor to idle so low. That you can actually feel it in the brake peddle while holding down the brake while in drive ? Almost feels like it’s misfiring of something. Or like it has a aggressive cam in it. It’s a 2016 scat. Looks to idle at 500 or so. But you can like straight feel the crank turning in brake peddle. I ask you cause you’ve driven more then your fair share of RT’s & 392’s. No mods yet. No other issues I know of. Much appreciated.
I plan on staying naturally aspirated with my rt going no further than long tubes,cam,392 intake mani, torque converter do you think I will be fine with my catback exhaust around 2.5 or 2.75 in diameter?
I could imagine . The speakers doesn’t help at all. Good job well deserved dude!
One day you will hear it in person!
Can’t wait!
Hey man you really need to change the rear valance to something that will allow you to add custom tips to complement that exhaust
When they break in you will really love it. 👌
Thank you! Def sounds so good
How difficult was it to install the headers? I’ve heard that getting the bolts in and out is a PITA. I’m about to do the job in my garage on jack stands
Hey bro, I just ordered some JBA LTs with catted mids but the vendor accidentally shipped or catless mids. I have a 3 inch custom X-pipe and 2.5in pipes from x-pipe back. What do you think of this set up? I'll be installing on the LTs and mids as soon as I get them in.
Kooks Headers ONLY headers that fit tight up into chassis more w more ground clearance
Best option over most 👍
3 inch exhaust from the headers back on a 5.7. I'd think that thing would be a little soggy on the bottom? I was always afraid to go that big on a 350 inch. Are you losing anything on the bottom?
I knew at this point forced air would be happening down the road. So I went with the least restrictive exhaust setup possible.
@@RTLife Ha, Ok, that make sense. Future add-ons! I can appreciate that. I'm itching for that Edelbrock E-force Supercharger, but the price! Then an additional $500 for the canned tune that comes with it! Also, I like the new exhaust set up you got. Now you did have to get a dyno tune after that, right? What's a ball park number you might expect to pay for a good dyno tune these days?
Sick set up bro , have to ask is it still carb legal? Crazy how a setup a make or break your setup by simple tubing
why not use the mopar stg 1 scat pack upgrade? not as good?
Why magnaflow over borla? Just curious.
To bad you can't go catless. Glad you got some proper longtubes on now! Sounds good, and lots louder. I bet it's kick ass in person.
yah NY would never allow for that! This is def a big time upgrade though - the RT is running strong. Thanks man
@@RTLife Love the upgrade. One question, What is the best setup while eliminating DRONE? I want it quiet UNTIL I smash the gas. (prepping for a Kenne bell)
Very awesome ! The setup looks and sounds great and I can’t wait to see the dyno numbers. I am glad to see you opened that baby up.
Sounds great ! Wow ! The beast got even more nastier !
Proud to hear your experiences an what you learned. Great mods.
Wow! Your exhaust setup is looking so clean! Can't wait to see what numbers your car is making.
Sounds good man. Glad you went with Magnaflows, one of the best mufflers in my opinion. Can't wait to see some numbers.
yah I hear their one of the better performing setups - this was def a solid upgrade no doubt about it
I heard them up close and personal they sound just as good as my Stainless Works at a lot less$$$
@@RTLife Honestly if I heard it without looking at the car it sounds like a 392
Yes! The new setup looks amazing. Sounds very similar to mine on start up. I'm running Magnaflow also. Love that snarl. Seeing all that Shiney new piping makes me want to scrap my system and start fresh.
Did your original exhaust have the active function? I'm considering the magnaflow but don't want to send off any CEL's due to not having the active functioning. How did you get away with it? Simulators?
No I have a 15. The 17+ ended up getting the active exhaust setup
Oh okay that's why, excellent thanks for all your info, looks like I'll need sims
Nasty... got the same thing going on here. One slight problem is the time to do it with a 2nd baby on the way. Lol Keep killing it!!!
This was a Fantastic veiw again my friend! A great job my friend!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it.
Ya did good brother. Sounds more responsive like it wants to rev.
I REALLY guarentee using oem SRT gaskets with the lontubes,
yah I heard that works really good
Yeah man and they fit with the 5.7 heads, I running kooks and I ran oem SRT gaskets no leaks at alll
They did a great Installation 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 I wanted to hear it with just the strait headers ? Great video.....
I should have asked if they could have started it - def would've been cool
Sounds good excited to see the gain def over 400 no way it shouldnt be now
This is a great setup! Def making some power now
Right
