Awesome video Will!!!!! Thank you again for coming all the way out to Maryland! It was a fantastic time and your demo rocked!!! Blessings to you my friend!
I worked at a forging shop in the Fingerlakes of NY . I used to pick up overtime as 3rd helper in the hammer shop on one of the hammers . I was the the guy holding the peg , and throwing the saddle up on the die . I remember it being much faster . Hard work !
You should make a tiny anvil at your shop and send it to Bobby Duke for him to make his tiny swords on. He has a tiny anvil but I'm not sure it's heavy enough, since he was hammering on a vise in his last tiny knife video.
Since your Hammer came from a shop Eureka, I think it would be most appropriate to make loggers Peeling Bar with it as your first project!! These were all made by local Blacksmiths to supply loggers in the woods with a topl capable of removing the thick layer of bark from the Giant Redwood Trees. The woodsman doing the peeling would stand on top of the Log (sometimes double their height or more) and work the bar down through the bark and peel off one side at a time. They a very distinctive but similar to a prybar. About 5ish feet tall with an angled ,tapered and sharp blade. The shaft is Octagonal tapering up about 18 inches where it goes round. The round shaft tapers gradually ending in a small ball end for comfort in the hand while putting downward pressure. You can probably see images online and even view old logging photos of them in use!
Idea: a whole series on a cutlery set! Chef’s knife, bread knife, bone knife, filet knife, pairing knife, steak knives, carving knife, meat cleaver, and whatever others i might be missing. Make a custom knife block at the end.
Have a great time in Maryland, you're going there at a great time of the year. Multiple color on the trees but nothing like the wild west where you are - a lot of people. Stay safe and have a day.
Awesome stuff Will Stelter. Can't wait to see your shop up and running properly. Would love to see you make a Damascus pick axe, think it would look really cool. Keep up the good work.
I came for the Damascus stuff but I really do love the large tool restoration stuff too. Learning the intricacies of how that stuff works is totally fulfilling, thank you for all your hard work!
Will have to watch the forging of the anvil again, I had thoughts of making one myself just for fun. Wish you could have shown more of the steam hammer and the operator's controls. Thanks, Will for taking us along and sharing.👍👏⚒
I agree with the earlier post of a distinctive makers mark. And a new hammer for the new shop with the new makers mark. It's a tool that will feature in nearly every video.
Glad to see you are doing so well. Been watching since before Alec moved to our beautiful state. You both are extremely talented and I can’t wait to see what you have in store. I think you should do something distinctly Montanan.
Very amazing opportunity for you will. Very nice job. They turned out very well there. Hopefully you get great use out of them will. Can't wait to see more videos. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend Will. Forge on. Keep making. God bless.
Great video Will,l too love big old machines. I have just finished getting a line shaft running off an antique gas engine in my small blacksmith shop. Was really impressed with the huge hammer.
Fun field trip Will. 😅👍 Wewd enjoy seeing more like this, very interesting. I enjoy the feed back they get from the blacksmith on Oak Island. Seems like a real character too. So much history in the field. Thanks Will. Happy Turkey Day. 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🥳
Hey Will! Not sure if he was there or not this year but you should meet my grandfather Jim. Would be cool to see a video of the kind of hardware and stuff he makes
Howdy Will, wow what a fantastic trip! Those were the awesome travel destinations if you ask me. I would go nutz on a cruise, but making things? With craftsmen? Awww yeah, the best.
You should make a Lithuanian Szabla, it's like a scimitar, but different. I lived in Lithuania for a while a couple years ago and some of the historic weapons that they have there are really interesting. Most people don't know that the Lithuanian empire stretched across most of Eastern Europe and was larger than the Ottoman empire as well.
The coolest thing i whud like to se is if you travel to Sweden and check out when thay make anvils. Like the one you got 👍. Maby make a vikingsword of your own 👍
As far as big projects you can’t do much bigger than what Michael Cthulhu does There’s gotta be some way to work together with him, just to make something absolutely ridiculous in size I know you can do it!
I really hope it's gonna be a running gag to just have Will show up in places. Other youtube videos, in the background of photos, at events... it's just Will. He's just there. :D
I would love to see you make some fine detailed woodworking tools. Maybe a set of timber framing chisels? Maybe a colab with Wrangestar? How about a crosscut saw? Or an axe would also be cool!
Nah! Will is a talented, humble, polite, honest and humble young man with a bright future ahead of him. Codey of Wranglerstar however is the most self righteous, self obsessed, narrow minded, sexist, arrogant, needy clickbait posting, religious fanatic dishonest guy on UA-cam.
@@sally6457 don't fully agree, don't completely disregard. But Cody is a good woodworker with a Big Chanel. Cody enjoys blacksmithing and a colab could be helpful to Wills Chanel. I think it was Cody that mentioned Alec in a video that introduced me to him. Also Cody has mentioned that quality woodworking tools are hard to find and I think Will could make them in an enjoyable video! Just because you disagree with someone doesn't necessarily mean you can't work with them for a short period. Only my opinion, please don't take offense as none was intended.
Between Matthias Wandel, Rex Krueger and numerous other geniunely smart, friendly and funny individuals who do woodworking......why the **** pick cody......
Cool that you got to hang with all those guys Will, and went to a shop I'd love to spend 20k in(Coal Iron Forge), keep up the great work! And happy Thanksgiving!

Hey will I can see you are a man of many vises...
We had a blast! Wish we had more time! We have to do it again sometime real soon!
It was great to have you brother! 🙌 Awesome video. Can’t wait to share what we filmed on the Coal Iron Works channel and what that steel is becoming 😉
Who else thinks it’s time Will makes his own makers mark?
Yup, just doing his name was fine, but to move on, yup, he needs his own mark..
6:39 this guy has not only mastered the art of blacksmithing, but apparently he also knows how to make clones
Awesome video Will!!!!! Thank you again for coming all the way out to Maryland! It was a fantastic time and your demo rocked!!! Blessings to you my friend!

That would be sick actually
Damn, that would be cool!
Thanks for taking us along. I love the steam hammer!!!

8:42 Those are the hands of a real grafter! Hahahaha, cuts, calluses and dirt!
I loved the slow motion and low light shots for forging the mini anvils and think that it really put the focus on the steel. Great idea!
I always find it cool to hear about the history of places like this that still exist. There's just too little time in this life to look at it all.
Fantastic history
Very nice Will!
I wish i could be involved in one of your videos. So many experiences and travels that could fill multiple lifetimes
Awesome Will to see you work with That works ! Two of my favorites ! So glad you are still into blacksmithing !
Good to see you're doing great bro

That big hammer was super impressive. How about a Damascus mini anvil like you made in this episode. Maybe you could auction it off after.
So damm good to catch up on all of what you been doing and nice to see you shine for your talents and not be pushed aside
soli Deo gloria - awesome!! I respect the strength of character in a man who can put this forward front and center.
Great! Good to see you again Will. Love your work and your approach to your audiance.
Once you finally get your power hammer and other machine tools up and running, i would love to see a falchion, an old school medieval sword
I hope you keep up the fan work.
Awesome roadtrip video Will. What a great experience. Love it.
Great video Will,l too love big old machines. I have just finished getting a line shaft running off an antique gas engine in my small blacksmith shop. Was really impressed with the huge hammer.
Wow, that's HAMMER TIME! with that monster steam hammer. Great video Will, thumbs up.
Love your videos, brother! Enjoy your trip.
Fun field trip Will. 😅👍

Thanks Will. Happy Turkey Day. 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🥳
A HUGE KITCHEN KNIFE keep up the great work will
Making one of those stone hammers would be cool.
Thank you for sharing
Wish I had known you were in Indiana! Probably a good idea not letting people know paparazzi and all…. Loving the channel keep it up Will!
First project ideas… you could try making a Persian dagger or a traditional Tanto; something unfamiliar, but not too unfamiliar.
That anvil has a powerful texture...
Oh my goodness, why do you always have the funniest shirts? What a great sense of humor.
You could do throwing knives, a folding knife, or a hunting knife with a custom scabbard
Awesome shirt, Will. Very apt!!! 💪🏻
Wonderful video of the amazing history of this trade.
Hey Will! Not sure if he was there or not this year but you should meet my grandfather Jim. Would be cool to see a video of the kind of hardware and stuff he makes
Nice work Will! Cool frog shirt too.
Awesome work man. This is one of my favorite channels on yt easily.
I get excited every time I get the notification that Will released a new video
Dang son! You have become a real professional presenter! Good work.
I am like the way you visit other blacksmiths.
whats the square hole in the waist for ? 7:03
Great collabs! Really interesting to see!
I'd love to se a series on a set of kitchen knives made to a high standard
Your shirt is hilarious! Also you should make a bush axe. I bet your version would look super cool.
Always excited to see a video from you! If I could pick a youtuber to spend a few days with it would definitely be you.
Awesome video Will and some great equipment! I haven't seen a damascus shovel done before?
He has a sweet workshop!!
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
That is one impressive press...
Good to some content Will! As always, very enjoyable!
your furst project for the power hammer shuld be a Damascus door nob

Glad you came east.

I'd be happy to see you make a Damascus Bowie knife. 👍
That hydraulic press press confused the hell out of me. Wasn't until the third time that I realised I was right the base moves not the ram.
Happy Thanksgiving Will. Keep up the great work!🦃🦃🦃
Fun video Will. Those little anvils are adorable. I started out forging on something about that size. Creates a different set of challenges ;)
I was just looking at some small anvils for my garage
Looked like a really fun trip man 👍
Yessss, I’ve been patiently waiting for your next upload 😊
Very awesome vid, Will. Maybe you could, once your al set up, make a sword of your own design?
start @2:20
Looks like an awesome trip man

How long does it take to heat up a hunk of metal that large?
Great video Will! Best wishes for a happy Thanksgiving.
What were they making in the footage of the industrial shop?
Didn't know Indiana has a steam hammer still chooching
Awesome stuff
I see you picked your shirt specifically for this ad XD
I really hope it's gonna be a running gag to just have Will show up in places. Other youtube videos, in the background of photos, at events... it's just Will. He's just there. :D
Like the garden Gnome in Amelie, except smaller, obviously 😆
Project idea: Damascus cutlery.
I would love to see you make some fine detailed woodworking tools. Maybe a set of timber framing chisels? Maybe a colab with Wrangestar? How about a crosscut saw? Or an axe would also be cool!

I really wouldn't mind a anvil like that one. I keep debating trying to make a mini one thats hardy hole mounted but I don't have a power hammer
Cool that you got to hang with all those guys Will, and went to a shop I'd love to spend 20k in(Coal Iron Forge), keep up the great work! And happy Thanksgiving!
Cool!
Okay, I've got to know where you got that shirt
A Damascus Tanto knife would be awesome
Fro, adz, draw knife any of these would float my boat.
Big Hammer Stelter
Great stuff.
A one piece socketed trident.
nice shirt Will
You have a real vice when it comes to spending money. I’ll let myself out.
