He feels driven for more (he's thirsty for certain things in life). The white figures are his obsessions/demons. Sometimes he kills them, sometimes he controls them and sometimes he feeds them. This leads to conflict within himself, thus 2 Chrises. Even if he traps one side of himself, he still has demons to face as his one eye shows. It is a cycle for him. He's just hot as hell while he travels through life. More, pleeeeeaaaase!
The fact that Chans mv starts with him sitting up quickly like he’s being jerked awake, and his live performance ends with him falling backwards. And then the mv ends with him dragging his chair behind him into the darkness, and the live performance opens with him, in the dark, dragging the chair behind him across the stage. The entire thing it meticulously thought out and a constant loop between reality vs mentality. Good versus bad; righteous versus evil; internal struggle versus output. Wild. I love that man and his big, sexy brain.
Plus, the eyes change from his brown ones to one eye being silver and then switching to the other eye. And I wonder if he will have both eyes silver and the outfit changes by the end of the concert tour.

Youth is confetti full of happiness. It is my favorite song. I love love loooove that song. Brings me so much joy into my life. On the other hand, Railway is my favorite MV cause I am a fan of vampire stories/movies. With this MV, Chris got his permanent wrecker spot on my list.

Here it is if you would like to read it ❤ The interpretation of the mv and song I got was, it is about his obsession to overwork and not sleep. Just like Red Lights, also why you have a lot of red, to reference to red lights, could be to stop, could be a warning. We do know Chan likes to reference his issue with work obsession, as he did in Red lights. Here he is Vampire Chan(as per Chan) to start and he goes around turning people into himself, basically overworked Zombies...In Vampire lore if you drink the blood of a Vampire, he becomes your master. Which we see in the MV. So then enter 2nd Chan(good Chan) with the white eye on the other side. He comes in to stop obsessed Chan. He kills him and then goes to leave, but grabs his jacket. (You know he kills him because at the end you hear the zombie/vampires eating him and you see his shoes slightly move as if someone is tugging on his body while eating) By taking the jacket he starts the cycle over again. Where he wakes up starving, for his work, he tried to be good and not obsessed...but he is what he is....and goes through it all over again. I do like that it took a different turn than I thought.

Happy new year! 🥳. Lee know is so cute 🥰, reaffirming he is a bias wrecker, it’s such a jolly song ☺️. Now Chan… I definitely saw the lyrics as a double meaning, it can be sexy but I do think it makes more sense to be talking about another side of himself. My interpretation and what I read from other people too, is that the vampire chan is a past version, maybe in the beginning when the kids said he was more scary and strict, and the white chan is the current chan stopping it coming back, it could also be the industry is white chan the ‘molded version’ and the vampire is his more primal side wanting to come out, but even though it was defeated it’s still heard gurgling and gasping at the end because, after all, you can’t kill a part of yourself truly. “Don’t you care about the causalities” while he’s killing the prisoners. “Cause it’s safe when it’s you and me” sounds like himself and his other side, cause you’d be safe if it’s just you and yourself. It’s like he’s drunk on the feeling of being in control of them in the next scene, working them to death but keeping them alive for his food or his need for power. It’s definitely the dark side of him. The eye and such did remind me of DPR Ian. Dark chan is also wearing the darker clothes and more flashy clothes because he’s not working so much, cause he’s in charge. White chan wearing more ‘working clothes’. But right from the start, before this mv, when I read the lyrics I saw this as a metaphor for the brutality of the K-pop industry as a whole. How it affects the people in it including Chris. So the railway of the title is the industry and the individual teams are the tracks that roll forward continuously, “never sleep” and demand “no breaks” and “no brakes”. The loop is that each k-pop generation is produced and they have to fight each other to succeed and gain recognition. Then at the end, the new generation will need space, so the previous generation is killed off - disbanded. In my interpretation, Chris enters the world already having an “eye” on where he wants to be. The cold eye of ambition. He wakes up and enters the trainee system. Is hooked up to IV drips and fed the blood that will turn him into a vampire/artist and prepare him with the weapons (teeth and claws) to fight for survival. Then he breaks out of the nursery/trainee system, climbs the stairs and is offered a one and only chance (the ticket that says one trip). He is dressed in black as a leader and has a chance to pick his team. He wonders along the cells looking at the prospective members. On the way he is fighting off the competition. He needs ruthless ambition and determination to compete and succeed against all the others. These are the “casualties” that get discarded. Then he is shown with his team, (the two lines of zombies) This is the security, that it’s OK within the team, but hold tight because it’s going to be a rough ride. They start to move along their own track, in unison with each other. This verse is about trusting each other, working crazily hard, and keeping on track even though there is chaos all around. At one point Chris “feeds” one of his team blood to keep him going and what looks like a coin emerges from his mouth. The currency of success - you only succeed if you make money. This is immediately followed by and image of being threatened with a gun, presumably the pushback and control by the agency. Eventually they reach the wire mesh fence beyond which is freedom. But they are still within the compound, they do not escape it entirely. To be honest I’m not sure about the storyline of the last scenes, but here is my best shot. When he returns to the training area he appears relaxed, like he has succeeded, but when he gets there, another person with the cold eye of ambition (this time in the left eye) is waiting for him, to kill him and take his place in the railway system. I really also like the interpretations that this is a more personal fight about the two sides of Chris’s personality, as @theresamultistan4549 has outlined. I think this fits really well also, because the system requires you to hone that merciless competitive side of yourself which you may not wish to flex. Another thing that struck me about the symbolism is that the zombies’ heads all look like wire mesh microphones!
Both songs and vids were so good. But truly I was waiting to see your reaction to Chris’s Railway so much. This genius almost smashed better half of the fandom with his solo and I am loving it. Watching and listening to his solo wasn’t easy at all….. Whatever interpretation we would prefer to go for, the fact he worked with the same director who did Read Lights as well, says a lot. Because in Kpop videos there is always SO much detail involved, everything is planned and purposeful, even down to what they’re wearing. So I pause to see what’s going on to try and give myself any additional insight to the story being told on the screen. I will also pause to read stuff in the background as well for the same reason cause sometimes there’s little “Easter eggs”. We like to try to pay attention to it all, if we can, so we can better understand what’s going on in the video. With all that these artists put into the MVs, I feel it’s the least I can do as a viewer to fully respect the work they’ve done.
