Lovely video, Mike. There’s also a Reading museum where one can find more about the abbey and life in Reading during that time. It is a stone through from the abbey.

Thank you Anna, that museum is cool! I think it has the longest tapestry in the country

4:10 you are always blessed in the climate of Reading town - even if not sunny. We're one of the driest places in the UK to the point that the hosepipe ban is still implemented after the August heatwave because the rain received isnt enough to fill up the water reservoirs!
Aside from that you got the beautiful angles and POV of the ruins and prison alongside with the stunning modern buildings that gracefully stand there. I think Reading is fortunate enough to have all of its history (pre WW2) retained and have beautiful new buildings. Not just the building but a assortment of trees that range from evergreens
Speaking of evergreens. You have to do a video of Burghfield common and the forest where Oval pond is because it is an evergreen tree paradise

Thank you Peter! Reading is evergreen and so is Burghfield common! Who knows, one day I may make a video about Burghfield Common too!

@@mikebogatyrev3058 best time is to do it on a sunny day between now and before Armistice Day to get the blend of orange leafed trees mixed with the evergreens

Lovely place, great shots. But where are the people? Anyway, even ruins of ancient architecture are beautiful... where we are evolving? Will our ruins be that beautiful?

Thank you:)) There were no people because I filmed it very early in the morning: the light was perfect. Only one hour later the magic disappeared and people were out and about.
Will the ruins of modern architecture be just as beautiful? Yes, they will. They will be historical pieces. Just like what we see in museums was once a fabric of modern life at a time
