Just bought one. Can’t wait to start this exploration in sound…
With the slide added, you really get that pedal steel sound!
I'm an instant convert to the Certano benders. I have a Hip Shot, but it is cumbersome. This is awesome.
I want one!!! And a strap bender
Awesome! I first saw Marty Stuart in Belton, TX on the very first concert of the "No Hats Tour" with Travis Tritt in late 1992 when I was 14. Seeing Marty play that Clarence White pullstring made me realize, he wasn't just playing a telecaster, that was WHOLE other instrument and I've always thought of pullstring guitars as something other than just telecasters with a bender. That's absolutely awesome!!!
Just ordered one. Hope I can get close to sounding this good!!
I love to hear someone play Last Date, with the bender, it’s an awesome tool.
Fantástico. Quero 3 benders
I just ordered one of these Certano benders. I have a Squier Tele 40th Anniv model ordered from Sweetwater, that are on backorder, but I did get this $600 Gtr with $240 OFF. David Certano is great to work with as I had some questions and got his answers directly via an email from him. SO great customer service. Very good video. Will have this installed by a local Luthier.
Sounds amazing, I've never scene this before today I love that pedal steel sound!
Great playing and excellent showcase for the dimensional properties of ‘preordained’ raised notes. Thanks.
Superb product! I will order one for an Esquire I have.
Vraiment génial merci
Wonderful!
Excellent
Sold!
Well, you don't have to convince me further, just bought one!
Very nice picking/bending, man. Looks like a great unit, I went with one that has four anchor screws but similar design.
Thank you! I was curious how the benders worked, and if they worked well! Sounds great!
J ai eu la pedal steel show budd et la buddy Emmons c'est quand même plus simple d 'approche mais il y a quand même du taff
So another question: How did you carve out the metal for the strings?
Interesting video. Very much enjoyed 👍474. All the best Olav-new sub
Thanks for posting your video of the Certano bender. I'm seeing a lot of cool videos about this product, but have some questions that don't seem to get addressed:
1. As the G and B strings no longer route through the body, do you notice a difference in tension or tone?
2. Do conventional finger string bends feel different on the G or B string?
3. Does the Certano bender add much weight?
4. When you move the pitch bending "arms" out of the way, can you palm mute like you would on a conventional Tele? I'm concerned about having to adjust my right hand when the arms are moved away.
Nice playing can I ask - is this the shorty version?
yep !
Thx for that video. I just bought it - what was the thickness of your drill bit? :D I don't want to destroy my tele. Did they deliver and exact manual about the distance / position of that unit?
The drill is 2mm
Informative. How did you modify the bridge to create space for the g and b strings?
Simple... Just grind it down with either a rotary stone, or a rotary "file" using either a small drill, a flex shaft, or a small die grinder. That would be the easiest & quickest way.... the other way, and the hardest way.. would necessitate removal of the strings and saddles (or the whole bridge, depending on your setup), then File it down, with either a Semi-round or a full round file of sufficient width.
These are so awesome
Boa noite David Certano! como posso adquirir esse Banders Certano?preço obrigado! fica na paz!
Hello , go to certano.fr
Where can I buy this in the USA? Can't seem to get on your website.
Love this. Can you still adjust saddles on the B & G strings for height and intonation?
Yes , no problemes!
Thanks for this great demo! I am hesitating between this model and the Duesenberg multibender, quite the same price. Do you have an opinion on that ? Thanks a lot !
Hey there. I don’t know if you bought one yet, but I’d suggest the Certano or a Peters bender for tele installation. The duesenberg is nice, but it is an entire bridge and saddle, so you’d have to take the existing ashtray off and retrofit it.
The bender can only go up the string or can it also be loosened a bit to get that pedal steel knee lever sound?
The certano bender only raises the pitch. If you want a bridge that do lowers, check out the Duesenberg multibender. Expensive but exquisite craftsmanship.
I'd like more info and would like to purchase a certain bender
How do I get in touch.
Thanks
Hello, is the pressure of the strings on the saddle sufficient? The angle of the string path seems quite small to me.
Hello, yes, I thought about it before selling them.
Is this the "Low" version? How much clearance do you need from the bender blades to the strings to get a full tone bend?
How can I go about Purchasing a telecaster with the Certano B & G Benders Attached How much, & Placing an Order ?
Will it only fit on a Tele with the ashtray style bridge?
Fantastic!
I wonder if you can install it on a Thinline Telecaster guitar ?
Oops poor spelling. Certano Bender. Can I install one on a hollow body electric ( F hole) Fender?
You have the benders fitted on the G and B strings. When the levers are pressed down does the G go to G# and the B to C?
He mentions in the video that it's set up to bend up a whole tone but can also be set easily to bend a semitone instead. I got the impression the two benders could be set separately (i.e. one could be a tone and the other a semitone). I'd personally be interested in whether it can bend quarter or three-quarter tones too, seems like it might.
I really need to get one of these. Will it work with the modern style 6 individual saddle bridge, or do you need the traditional style 3 saddle tele bridge to use it?
I am wondering the same.
Would these sound good on a teli style guitar with P90s?
Do you find you break strings?
I just installed mine. I broke three b strings in two days.
Hi Jaime, you are the first to whom this has happened after more than 3000 copies sold.
Maybe we should change string brands?
Ah well, how much?
How can you possibly palm mute with this tbing?
You can't, but you can rotate them out of the way if you don't want to use them
Isn't better install bigsby telecaster bridge?
That's a completely different thing dude...
@@johannes8300 Sorry, I ask wrong. I mean install a bigsby telecaster plate with these bender.
You can't get pedal tones with bigsby , it bends all strings simultaneously as wit the palm bender the b or g is only bent depending on what lever you activate . I know it's 101 ,but some people have never used these
Dude
