Short answer: yes….provided that they are ready, willing and able to pay top dollar for this kind of talent. You don’t get a Mercedes Benz for a Hyundai payment. 💯
This comment becomes irrelevant if the cat from Va Tech signs..but I'd argue that D.J. Chester is NOT your biggest question mark on the o-line. You know what he is. A subpar center with a lot of physical ability. And sure, you dont WANT to have to start him next year but I dont think anyone would lose any sleep if it came to that. This was his first year starting at center. I have to imagine (hope) that he'll get better. The real questionmarks are EVERYWHERE ELSE on the o-line. Replacing 4 multiple year starters is a tall task. I get that Chester wasn't great but im surprised that folks think he's the biggest concern.
I agree, Chester's potential is there. As a RF, going up against elite DTs in the SEC is no tall task. I thought he played well considering that fact. Kids technically aren't suppose to play at an elite level so early on. You stay and develop, by year 3 start to dominate. O-line will be young and talented next season, but I see them improving as the year progresses.
@@Familyman617From your lips to God's ears. We have a lot of young talent but they are all unknown. They are going to need to mesh quickly or we are going to have issues. Especially with a QB who isn't very eager to tuck it and run.
@@davort78 Mubenga actually started to play well the last couple of games of the season. Both he and Chester replaced 5th years seniors, they need time. Good thing is they got some experience they can carry into next season. They know what to expect now.
And Barion Brown committed
They got Ja’keem Jackson to commit

Couldn’t have said it better myself! 😅

I want to know where Ole Miss is getting all their money to buy the players they've already gotten out of the portal.
They don't recruit well and they don't have an expensive coaching staff. They bank

Biggest concern is Mubenga. Bro was a phantom when he was in the game. Chester just compounded the problem by playing next to him.

Chester would do fine as a guard but not center
