Thank you for another great video! Wonderful tip about using AquaMesh Plus to keep the fabric and batting edge smooth. Also love your use of painters tape. I definitely need to try that.
A very helpful video. I am using the B700 Bernina for my edge to edge quilting. Lately I have been seeing random loopy stitches on the top not nice, flat stitching. Any ideas as to the cause? I have never touched the tension but saw in your video where you recommend 3.5 or 3.75. Maybe I will try that. Thanks again!
Loops on the top can also be an indication that your needle is too thin or too large. Also, I would recommend making sure that your machine is running the most recent firmware.
Hi Again Gayle, This is Sandra Brazell again. I thought it might be useful if you knew the supplies I was using and what I was trying to stitch out. I was trying to stitch out a sample of an Amelie Scott Edge to Edge quilt design. The following items were used to stitch out both designs: 1. Bernina 580E machine 2. Bernina Mega Hoop 3. Silver regular machine bobbin 4. Amelia Scott Edge-to Edge Star quilt design 5. King Tut 40/3ply quilt thread When the first design did not stitch out properly, I used the Mega Hoop and a Bernina 580E original uncomplicated design that is in the machine to make sure the machine was set and function properly. I used the same settings and items as is the list above. After this did not work, I then used the Bernina oval hoop to stitch the design to make sure the machine and my settings were set correctly for the design. The design stitched out with no problems. I truly would like to know what I did incorrectly. I returned the Mega Hoop months ago but, if you can tell me how to make it work on my machine, I am willing to repurchase the hoop and try it again. I want to use the Mega Hoop to do Edge to Edge quilting and with the longer hoop I anticipate reducing the number of times I will have to rehoop the quilt. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the great video. Video helped me out greatly, And I love that you show the screen and then hoop and what button to choose that make it easier to understand for newbie.
I learned so much watching just this video!! I am now subscribed. I have the Bernina software, but have not really been taught how to use it...... As someone who was introduced to computers Waaaay into adulthood and after college/grad school (and I'm an apple user) it just seems so difficult to figure out on my own. So happy I found you.
Camilla was the love of our life. The best shop dog ever! Unfortunately she passed the rainbow bridge in November and we miss her everyday. Many of our customers often wanted to bring her home with them.
I have been quilting using edge to edge and I am getting nesting on the back of my quilt at the design joins (where I am starting the next design). I am using a B770, in the hoop, quilting needle and Gamut thread because of the colour. I adjusted the tension from 3.0 to 3.75 to 4.0 and nothing changes…any suggestions?? It is getting frustrating because my thread is a contrast to the back of my quilt so you can see the pattern…and the nests!!!
Hi Gayle ,Thanks for the explanation very useful .I would like to use like that sticky paper to print the design but it tremendously expensive with the shipping from Amazon. Please can you suggest doing other method when making edge to edge quilting when repeating the design so it can be stitched accurate from start and finish
Would t it be nice if you would support our store and buy it from us? www.berninaofnaperville.com/products/stabilstick-template-sheets?_pos=2&_sid=d0b236f1f&_ss=r
So you don’t turn the thread cutter off. Are there any knots on the back? I didn’t see any. Did you turn anything to do with knots off? How are all the threads secured? Great video!
Gayle, I’m making a king size quilt using one of the pantographs from this collection. I will quilt with my 790 Crystal Edition. Would you recommend beginning in the middle of this huge quilt?
Thank you, Gayle! Would you follow the same process as shown in your video? I don't have a large enough space to spread out the king size quilt. Any suggestion? Jean
@@jeandeuel1073 yes I would do like the video. A king size in a small space is ambitious. Honestly, I have a Longarm so my king’s going on that. I’m not well versed in using this software. I do have Bernina 830 yo embroidery unit. Can you list all items. I didn’t realize or remember there is a separate bobbin for embroidery.
Hello !! How do you get your stitches where the two designs meet so neat ? I get thick securing stitches at that point which I do not like !! I have the B700 and am using pinpoint placement.
I wonder why you don't use the hoop helper. I can see the edits in the video that tells me your hoop was skittering around. The hoop helper is essential for this process.
I purchased a snap hoop. I can note get the hoop to calibrate my new hoop, and until I can do that it will not allow me to embroider on my B560 Bernina. It attached to my embroidery module OK so I don't know what to do. I have tried repeatedly and out of frustration I gave up. Can you give me any advice
Yes. Snap hoops are not a BERNINA item and not supported. It’s a gamble if they work. They don’t hold the materials properly and are awful. Stick to BERNINA hoops.
Have watched the video several times and learn each time I view it. But I can’t copy the design to make two on my hoop no matter what I do. I see you left clicked on the design and right clicked to move it. When I let go of the right click the design drops back into the original place. I’m using the bernina artlink 9 and an OESD single run pattern that measures almost 4.880 x 6.920. Is my design choice too large? I’m using a Bernina 880 and a mega hoop size.
Hi Vivien, You can not make a copy in Artlink software. You need BERNINA Toolbox Editor, BERNINA EMbroidery Software 8/9 or BERNINA Creator 9 to do so on a computer. However, you can make the copy in your BERNINA 880. Consider watching the BERNINA Embroidery Sampler Block3 video to see how to do this. Hope this helps. ~Gayle
Considering the the version 9 software has yet to hit stores , I would not count on a sale. However, there is a version of the software called Creator that allows you to digitize original artwork and a lot of other features. It is $1199 in contrast to the designer plus version 9 priced at $2749
I can't think of a way to print the templates accurately without using software. You can download the BERNINA Artlink software for free here: www.bernina.com/en-US/Software-US/Embroidery-Software/BERNINA-Embroidery-Software-9/BERNINA-ARTlink-9
