The pass rush has been missing since Nakobe Dean was injured against Washington. Losing Dean was probably the biggest reason they lost that game. Having Jordan Davis back against Dallas did a lot more than people realize. Without Sweat, Davis and Dean, Washington just had fun with the defense in the second half.

The record of team that get the bye has a 70%win rate.....well, this is the same thing except it comes a week before the wild card round.. let the test of the NRC's playoff teams beat each other up fighting for position.....while the birds kick back and heal up for some tough football ahead. This isn't the afcc....every team here can beat anybody.
My fear is that they rest the starters, Saquon doesn’t get the record, then they get bounced in the first round. I don’t think it’ll happen but that would be so disheartening
2010 Packers won three straight road playoff games, starting in Philadelphia. I don't know if I have ever felt more heartbroken than seeing the ball get picked off in the direction of Riley Cooper. DeSean Jackson came within inches of taking one to the house in that game.

You can 100% be upset with your org for winning a game you should tank. The Eagles did it and all of the media and “sports people”were upset and they got DeVonte from it. It was 100% the right move for the org.
As much as we see this game as a team game, players do see their personal positions as an individual goal too. They want to be the best at that position. There is no one that can sit here and tell Barkley look man we know as a rb this once in a life time goal of being at the pinnacle of rbs is in reach, and hasn't been broken in over decades, we feel that it's not important. I don't think it fair to Barkley to ish on his positional goal just because of an "what if." The Super Bowl isn't guaranteed either way.
If hurts was to play well the eagles could absolutely win the super bowl without saqoun , that's a ridiculous comment when they have the best offensive line , 2 elite receivers and the #1 defense. Yes it would be much much harder but to say there's no shot whatsoever is asinine . Take Saqoun off the eagles and its at worst the 3rd best roster in football. Very capable of winning it all.
It's not just us who feel that way. Talk to any team about what they feel it would look like without Barkley. Not winning a Superbowl without him. It's not about winning one game without him, which they obviously could do. We're talking about winning 4 in a row, major difference. plus, can't count on Hurts to play consistently well without him based on what we've seen so far. Offense starts with Barkley, not the QB. This isn't 2022.

The odds of winning the SB without the #1 seed is tiny, especially in this years slate of teams. Getting that record is for everyone. Let the players who don't want to play sit and use some back-ups. Get Hurts some playing time to knock off the rust. After a half, put back-ups in and decide on Barkley based on the yards.

Eagles fans seem particularly irrational this season …the Margin for Error becomes minuscule in the playoffs
Eagles are still an 11-12 win team without saquon. He would be replaced by passing more which is more efficient than rushing.
