Kelli also said she conducted reference checks, which means she spoke to people who have worked with that candidate in the past and they brought to light other issues.
The pole climbing & jumping, the sky diving - nope. I wouldn’t care if DCC was the ultimate career goal - those things have nothing to do with dancing on the field.

She was mad with the one girl who lost her friends in a terrible accident because the poor girl would not talk about it on the episode. I also heard Kelli would not let a girl have time off to attend the funeral of her grandfather. Kelli puts down girls numerous times on the show for ratings and drama. More pay will not stop the abuse period. For some reason the girls believe the hype about being a DCC is the be all, end all of the universe and the abuse is worth the honor and privilege of being a DCC. And after seeing the crappy way Hannah was treated and used last year because of her own mental illnesses, I doubt the brainwashing and abuse will stop with more pay.

In her last season (7, I believe) she stepped in last minute to cover for another DCC who was unable to perform, and not only was she wearing a cast but she mentioned she was only just recovering from a recent knee surgery and was worried about doing jump split.
It’s unbelievable what they put them through and they get paid crap . These girls are literally just doing it for the glamour and fame of the DCC. All for the prestige of the name . Seems way over the top
Don’t get me wrong she’s a great dancer but was their ever any doubt that Cassie wasn’t going to make the team? She’s basically had the best trainer and mentor since before she was even born! Again I’m not hating if I had that same opportunity I would take it too!
I do not think Judy should have been allowed to judge her daughters. It wasn't fair to the other ladies that one spot was already taken before things even got started. Everyone already KNEW those girls would make the team.
I grew up in Texas and I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting kitty and let me tell you she is a mean spiteful person that Canterra person down very Quick and I honestly think that she needs to spend some of her big money on charm school because people down south you don’t talk to people like that down there you don’t treat people like that down there if my mama ever heard that woman speak to any of her kids the way this woman speaks to these girls my mama would knock her out.
