*From a 71 year old survivor of the SDS and 1960s/1970s madness, thank you for posting this: I haven't seen it before. While it's a little fast and loose with th actualfacts, it's close enough to give todays viewers a pretty reasonable feel for the period - from most of the angles.*

That was a really interesting movie especially since it was made then. On a shallow note, near the beginning of the movie, when Katie put on the dress and the dark wig, and her compatriot loaded up her bag, she was wearing a pair of platform sandals: I had exactly the same sandals and I loved them. All the other platform shoes I had were so ugly, but those, I loved. How's that for being a materialist! The only thing about those sandals, was that sometimes my feet would slide over the sides, and I'd stumble, usually when crossing the street. I must have looked pretty silly.
