8:10: You do know the US Dollar was backed by Gold until August 15, 1971? Was the dollar weakened when it was backed by Gold? Having a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve does NOT weaken the US dollar.

Yes of course we know that.
But now it’s not backed by gold, it’s backed by faith in the USA to continue to do well.
If the USA now decides it once again needs to hold another asset to back its currency (which it will only be a small amount) it’s sending a message to the world that maybe the dollar isn’t as strong as others hope.
It’s not as simple as “we buy Bitcoin and everyone is happy”.
The world lives by the dollar and trusts it, most people in the world don’t trust/know what Bitcoin is yet - so it sends confusing and mixed messages to the world about the dollar
