The laser actually does do damage, it's just that most people are careful enough to avoid it. During my countless hours watching playthroughs of this game, there was only ONE streamer who got hit by the laser and got stun-locked to death (his channel is Max0r, dude is basically a game reviewer and a editing machine pretending to be human lol). I was so flabbergasted as that was the first time I saw someone fail the mission because of the laser 😂.

After a mission, yes, you get a replay that you can control the camera in, but you can't save it sadly
