This no longer works. Microsoft has eliminated the app at the Microsoft Store. When you click on "Get" an error message comes up and states, "Something has happened and we couldn't start the upgrade. The "Try Again" button does nothing.

Found something that worked for me. I disabled Secure Boot, then logged in, then changed the SKUpolicy setting from 1 to 0 in the Windows registry, then downloaded Chrome and set as default browser, then re-enabled Secure Boot. Laptop is normal now.

Instead of restarting the computer reset it from the settings then when ur computer boots back up pause all windows downloads then u can follow these same steps from the video and it will work 💯
A lot of people that are having trouble disabling S mode I think it has to do with their hard drive size Any of the notebooks / laptops that I experience that had an issue normally had a 64 GB hard drive. However the ones that had 128gb and above had no issue. So maybe it has to do with the required space

I got you homie, here’s what I did to disable S Mode. 1.) Click 'Restart' (to restart the computer) while pressing the 'Shift' key. 2.) Click 'Troubleshoot' 3.) Click 'Advanced Options' 4.) Click 'UEFI Firmware Settings' 5.) Click 'Restart' when prompted (this will take you to the BIOS settings, note that only arrow keys are used to navigate the BIOS) 6.) Using left/right arrows, go to 'Security' tab and press 'Enter' key 7.) Using up/down arrows, go to 'Secure Boot' option and press 'Enter' key (this will let you enable/disable the secure boot) 8.) Press 'Enter' key to disable secure boot 9.) Press 'F10' to save changes 10.) Press 'Esc' to exit 11.) Make 'S Mode' your bitch and disable that shit 12.) Repeat steps 1-10 to re-enable secure boot
Great video. The problem for me is when I go to activation setting and they say exit s mode when I try to click on the Dropbox to go to Microsoft store, it does not allow me to. So, I am stuck and have no idea what to do.
I tried following these instructions to get out of S mode on my new Windows 11 laptop and it required that I purchase Windows 11 Pro for $99.00 in order to get rid of S mode. Have you heard of this happening and do you know of any way around it?

here is how i did it. i tried everything on youtube but nothing worked. you need to reset the pc or laptop completely after that continue with instalation. then when asked to sign in just click i have no account and enter a name just name then click next, later on you need internet connection sign in but do not click connect automatically, after accept the extra options like location and diagnostics all of them when done installing do not do anything except going straight to the microsoft store from the start menu and nothing else go to switch s mode and select get. it will ask to sign in your ms account then sign in but only then. after that it either you will get error message because you would get disconnected (reconnect internet_ )and try again that is how it worked for me I believe there is something wrong with newer version of the store. if you try to download anything and run it it would start ms store update and run it newer version of crap store. i hope this will help
