Being 31 and I haven't skated in 12 years, I picked up a board again after watching Braille for a few weeks. Even with taking falls they still don't affect me. But I also still know how to take falls and still pretty athletic. Good luck on your re-found journey on skating.

I've been a huge fan of Rodney Mullen since 1992. He's the one who inspired me to start skating way back then. I unfortunately had some things happen in my life and I dropped skating for 20 years. I started watching you 2 years ago. You inspired me to start skating again. Means alot to me. You have so much insane talent, dedication, and passion for skating man. You can skate, anyone can, it just takes some practice and motivation. I am still very new to skating, but by building my way up and I can now ride off of most curbs, and can sorta-manual if I try really hard. If you can't get the trick down, take a break for a little bit and come back to it later. Some day I feel very confident, some days I feel less, but I still skate for the day. You just gotta do baby steps.
i really enjoy the fact you put a realistic counter the amount of attempt this took you to learn yourself. this gives kids a much more realistic expectation of how long something is going to take and the dedication and hard work needed.

That's why rodney will forever be the greatest...these tricks and almost all freestyle tricks were invented by him. His creativity allowed for this sport to even progress.
Watching u skate and being so determined to land ur tricks inspired me to go out in the stormy weather and try something new. Spent 2 h and then finally landed my first Nollie varial heel! Never tried it before but with the inspiration I got from u I actually made it!! ❤

I'm 45, going on 46 now and I have been seriously considering getting back on a board after 25+ years. On a side note, I grew up with and skated with Darren Navarrette way back in the day. He lived a few miles from me and we went to the same school and we were really good friends way back when.

I respect the struggle. The counter was sick. People dont often think about how many tries it takes to get these higher level tricks on lock. Not to mention how many times you have to land it sketchy before you get clean footage.

The best part about hanging in there is once you crack something your average success rate goes up real quick lol- first 200~ tries you were 200~ for 0. The battle for this makes me wanna go start a battle at my park for a bucket list trick. Serious props, I was expecting a day cut when you were passing 150 but sticking it through till you got one you were happy with paid off.
It's nuts that it takes you (a PHENOMENAL skater) almost 250 tries to land this and you have Mullen as a reference. Imagine how many tries this took him without ever having seen somebody pull it off. Blows my mind.
Just got back from skating this park, It's in Cirencester in Wiltshire. Came on UA-cam and this was on recommended. It' a decent park and there's a smaller metal park about 100 meters away.
i like the giger counter. just a technicality, but isn't it actually a 360 shove-it darkslide? it just seems weird, that for a kickflip darkslide you have to go 1 1/2 flips, but a tre flip darkslide it's only half a flip. one of the inconsistencies in skateboarding.

just a technicality, but isn't it actually a 360 shove-it darkslide? it just seems weird, that for a kickflip darkslide you have to go 1 1/2 flips, but a tre flip darkslide it's only half a flip. one of the inconsistencies in skateboarding.
i think its just easier to say, the same with kickflip darkslide which isnt really a full kickflip either
Nah dude, a 3 shuv doesn't flip meaning it technically can't be done into a darkslide
