The 125 horsepower specs (7:33 minutes) is for R1200GS. The new R1250GS with Camshaft technology has a 136 horsepower output.

I think of this and other bikes of this weight as Overland bikes rather than Adventure bikes. They are too heavy and large for those tight trails or ridge lines. But it can handle the more average trails, wider lines, and more importantly long long trips. It can carry everything you could want and make camping a joy. As an overlander, this is the kind of bike I love.

The R1250 GS makes 136 hp, its the older 1200 that has the 125 hp.

I own the older 1200gsa lc and its built like a tank. I used to daily it in Manila with no problems. Rides really great on any road surface. Best bike for me.

It is a very good looking and very capable bike! If money is not a lacking issue, i would definitely buy one. And i will take it in the mountains in Benguet and Mountain province, and traverse the northern luzon loop which i am dreaming of touring and especially i’m from La Union. That's a 2019 or 2020 GS, it's the same model I have.
For their special edition off road model, BMW went from calling it "Rally" to "HP" in 2019. You can clearly see HP on that bike, you even point out it's HP style, not to mention that's the 2019 colors. BMW then went back to calling it a Rally in 2021.
I sat on one with the low suspension today and at 5’6” I was blown away how it felt too. I still don’t understand how a bike that heavy can feel that flickable.
Why would you expect it not to be able to lean? It has adventure bike ground clearance?

Apparently this bike is a really good seller . If BMW and Honda got together and produced a DCT version there sales would break all kinds of records I think 🤔

The GS is ridiculously expensive in Thailand. IF it's not so crazy priced in Philippines I'm thinking a move is in order. I'd love to own one in Luzon.

every inseam differs from each rider, height does not matter.
I don’t understand the hate this bike gets on it’s appearance. Sure it isn’t beautiful, but it definitely isn’t ugly. It looks purpose built, a lot of times that’s not pretty.

Both have their quirks, if you want a sportier bike, the multi is perfect, touring? comfort? then the GS with its telelever fork is for you. I myself went for the GS 1250, but still, if I have enough money, I'd get a Multistrada v4 or an S1000 xr as my second bike.
