I attended one of the many Bible Colleges in the Ozarks (97-01) and the Passion Play was an annual tradition. Now, with the influx of cycling networks to NWA, it only makes sense. And for all of us Born Again Christians, we thinks its awesome and funny, too (in a good way). Enjoy!
Many years ago I hit a rusty chain someone put across a trail ... with my face. Took 6 hours to get to medical help and many stiches. I still wonder what would make someone do that. I appreciate you talking about your confidence, even when it falters.
I was a downhill racer (skiing). One of the most useful things I learned that translated to all sports was to look much farther ahead to where I would be in a couple of seconds rather than directly in front of me. When you're focused on where you want to go rather than where you are, everything slows down a bit and your mind doesn't get stuck fixating on the obstacles, and is more willing and able to get past them.
These trails are awesome. I've been there twice to ride, and each time I ride something new.The terrain is mixed and gnarly all at the same time. I raced the SET race there and the course layout was epic. Funny story: My first time out to Passion Play, I was riding solo. I put my keyfob with key in my pocket of my riding pants. After hours of riding and climbing, my key had poked a hole, which resulted in the key falling out somewhere in the out in the middle of Passion Play. I searched for hours before calling my wife. She eneded up driving 4 hours straight to deliver my spare, turning around and following me for another 4.5 back home. She was not happy. Even more, someone ended up finding the key fob about a month later and mailed to me. Using it to this day. Nice riding, guys!
I do not enjoy biking, I have never tried mountain biking, but I just love watching you guys, subscribed to both of you, thank you for brightening my days!
Haha Eric! As a born again Christian I found your humor to be pretty spot on! It’s good to be light hearted about religion. People are way to pious about such things. On a serious note though I do pray that the reality of the true and living God comes your way. Just as you travel all over to experience different trails and different places, enjoying new and fresh experiences, I would hope that you come to meet God in the same kinda way. When we go beyond the symbols and religion and find the real God of the Bible that’s what it’s like, a new trail, a different place, and a new and fresh experience. The old ideas are gone and a new and living experience begins. Knowing a living God means the trail never gets old, the experience is always fresh, and it’s there that you really start living!
Ride what what your head allows. Can't make cool videos from a hospital bed. Your vids rock because they reflect the exact process and feelings the rest of us process every ride. Real man. We share your elation for each feature defeated and see that head-demon defeated.
I love the humor of this one! Hope everyone else enjoys irreverence (which would be a good trail name). I saw you guys riding away at Huntley and recognized you by your bikes not your Canada van lol.
Haha! Loved the theme of this one...funny stuff! Nice riding too! That half corkscrew with the OZ theme painted state outline is sketchy enough when it's perfect, but with the leaves, I can understand the reservations! If it's wet at all....NOPE! The reason people skid on the painted part, isn't because the paint is slick. It's because they are going too slow when they get to that point, and the bike wants to slide hard right, because their bike and body are upright and there's not enough downward pressure on the tires. Ask me how I know. LOL But...I didn't crash on my first run at it despite a little fishtail at the bottom, and have done it a few times since my initial encounter with it, and it's really just keeping speed all the way to the end so the tires stay parallel with the wood. What I found funny is, you didn't even blink at the off-camber rock garden just prior to the "ride through arch" at the end of "Deliverance." There's some nastiness to that, and it's SUPER SKETCH with even a damp tire, much less wet rocks. Coming from BC...you acted like that was nothing, when just beyond that white angled "landing rock" at the final ledge at the bottom, to the left, is like 8 feet straight down. So....your trepidation about jumps and drops is NOT present when it comes to tech and steeps. Props.
Our lord who schralps in heaven, Hallowed be thine berms, Your climbs come and sends will be done, On earth as in heaven... Give us this day our daily tread. 😆 🤘
Love the Jesus statue. Unlike you I AM religious. I’m happy you enjoyed the Dirt Church. Sounds like fun. Jesus and mountain bikes. TWO OF MY FAVORITE THINGS!!! Although if somebody got hurt, it wouldn’t really be a “holy” place anymore if you know what I mean 😉 (respond if you can)
Though I'm zero percent religious, I think we all need to be sure to express our gratitude to faith-based organizations that are willing to open their lands to mountain bikers. I regularly ride at a nice trail network that can only be accessed by passing through a Christian summer camp and greatly appreciate that they allow it. It's actually a pretty big challenge to get mountain biking access on public lands. And even more challenging to get trails designated specifically for mountain biking. So we must remember to appreciate all the private land owners, tree farm operators, and religious organizations that allow mountain biking and trail building on their lands.
Why do we continue to act like Faith/Religion/Belief is something to be embarrassed about or need to be explained. It’s been part of the human experience since the very beginning among ALL people groups. Do deny faith is deny being Human. Pursue Faith/Religion/Belief, people. It’s OK!
Welcome to the faith, Eric. There's lots of benefits I think you'll enjoy: forgiveness for sins, eternal life, and gratitude to God for making us in such a way that we LOVE mountain biking!
Well, that's if he truly became a believer. Definitely agree that there can be a renewed passion for things we enjoy, such as being outdoors and enjoying God's handiwork on the seat of a mtb!
Bro I highly recommend you take a shit or two if vodka before you go mountain biking, maybe take an adavan. It will calm the nerves and help you SEND IT!. Try it sometime
This place reminds me of the green trails where I live. They're not some wide, dirt trails with a ton of berms. They're loose, fast, technical, and narrow trails which are also quite steep. Although the double blacks where I am have a weird difficulty rating (they don't feel like a double black.)
Honestly, that weird obsession with religion, a for europeans weird definition of freedom, and war/the military including weapons is something that totally trips me out and somehow also keeps me from feeling good about travelling there at the moment (besides the budget... ^^). Probably still gonna go to the US sometime. But definitely want to do a trip along the powder highway first.
I’m not trying to make a big deal out of this or anything because nothing you said was particularly offensive! However, just a reminder that religion is quite literally the most important thing in a religious person’s life, so I’d encourage you to be very thoughtful about how you use Christian themes in comedic ways. You and Yuka genuinely seem like wonderful people, so I’m sure you wouldn’t mean to say anything that would belittle others
Did you see the newest Jordan Klepper episode part from the daily show? - it's gold! Just saw it and had to come back since it's filmed in the same place...
Went here over the summer and loved it. Before a local suggested these trails I never would have believed anyone who told me I'd have a blast at that place. Don't even mind getting attacked by wasps at the trailhead (they had a nest in the oz trails donation box and was trying to throw a few bucks in) and going OTB not far from the base of the jesus statue and putting a rock through the palm of my hand.
If you suck at mtb.. I must be a total crank. Haha.... we all think we suck at some part of it I'm sure.... but I like watching your vids and I too have some mental blocks / brain quits on certain obstacles - but all we can do is get better one try at a time.
Baby head is an old farmer term when the farmer and the help would go out to the new feild to remove rocks/baby heads and make perimeter rock walls. Awesome trails looks like an amazing place to ride.
Hey! Im 13 all you can do on those jumps and stuff your scared of is commit and practice thats how i got used to most of my jumps now im a mtb trail racer and a motorcross racer
my tip for sending is if you know you can do and youve seen someone else do it just deathgrip it because i often pull the breaks because there there i guess
Awesome vid! You guys inspired me to start my own channel! And my first video is about the one place you never made a video about in Miami! Virginia Key North Point trails! I’ll never understand why you or Yuka didn’t make an episode about this unique MTB island!? Check it out!
I had to rewind it, that giant Jesus statue looks a lot like SingletrackSampler!! LMAO....send it guys! Always love your videos so much fun with you two.
"I suck at MOM bikes!" 😃 Watch this with the captions turned on! The autocaptioning turned 'mountain bikes' into 'mom bikes' and just multiplied the comedy! Thanks for this one. I love your videos and especially appreciate how you keep your mental struggles in them. You've got the skill to send it but your mind needs reassurance. I lot of us can relate to that! Keep on making these videos. This is one of my favorite channels. You definitely do not 'suck at mountain bikes' (or at mom bikes!)
Hey you guys! Just found your channel a few week ago and you rock! You guys where in my back yard! Darn! Missed ya! Would of love to given a Tour to our Lake Leatherwood trails and around town. Next time you come to tour our trails give me a shout! Even Bentenville which is about 30 minutes from Eureka Springs has some amazing trails! Hope to see you soon and I’m really loving your videos about the forbidden druid high privet bike. Are you still riding forbidden or what are you both riding now?
I think it's funny that people were taken back by the "baby head" terminology. I never thought twice about it- kinda like Joey on Friends- "You see something, you hear a word, I thought that's what it was."
My own head is one of my biggest obstacles. Some days, I feel on it and every jump feels fluid, I feel loose and totally in control. Yet other days, I lack confidence, I'm stiff and my jumps feel awkward and I am scratching my head where did the confident other me go.
These trails look sweet, the theming though is..... interesting 😂 - Yuka's face at your prayer had me in stitches!
Turns out Jesus is into mountain bikes!
@@BCpov This is news to me! Haha!

Josh! How you doin man?
Many years ago I hit a rusty chain someone put across a trail ... with my face. Took 6 hours to get to medical help and many stiches. I still wonder what would make someone do that.

SO SORRY TO READ THIS!!! Horrible. People do evil things.

I don’t mean to offend people who are into that stuff but….
Yikes! That place is a bit on the nose. 😬😬😬
Ayyyyyyyeee New vid

Yuka kills me!!!🤣 Good job over your dead tire!!! Nods with appreciation 😊👏
I do not enjoy biking, I have never tried mountain biking, but I just love watching you guys, subscribed to both of you, thank you for brightening my days!
Try it! Best sport ever!
If you don’t like biking because it’s boring seriously try mountain biking

Welcome back to the Oz Trails!
Let me know if you need a guide in Bentonville or Bella Vista!

Everyone thought I was so cowardly so now I have started to just do it no thinking
I am religious and Christian religion will help you in life
Thanks for the amazing content Eric and yuka !
I came here for mountainbiking, not religion...
I love the humor of this one! Hope everyone else enjoys irreverence (which would be a good trail name). I saw you guys riding away at Huntley and recognized you by your bikes not your Canada van lol.
Yooo
That beginning just made me laugh so much
Love it. Wait for the hate mail on this one. Keep them coming

Those trails were named after colors Bob Ross painted with.
OZ TRAILS!!!
What state this in
Well, I am a born-again Christian and few things get me to pray without ceasing like trying a new new feature. Also, Freddy's. Mmmmmmmmm.
Born-again sender!
Our lord who schralps in heaven,
Hallowed be thine berms,

On earth as in heaven...
Give us this day our daily tread.

Forgiveness for sins... So if I start believing in god then he will forgive me for killing 23 people?
What would be your motivation to kill 23 people if you experienced God's love and forgiveness? That doesn't make much sense, does it?

I had a similar awakening, was there on January 29 and snapped a deliverance photo, maybe I just missed you?
Went here over the summer and loved it. Before a local suggested these trails I never would have believed anyone who told me I'd have a blast at that place. 3:18 does anyone know this song? It sounds a lot like Bonobo but I don't recall this track.
Baby head is an old farmer term when the farmer and the help would go out to the new feild to remove rocks/baby heads and make perimeter rock walls. Awesome trails looks like an amazing place to ride.
Onga bonga, am i right
"Jesus waited for me to get frustrated before he let me send it."
Brother, do I know THAT feeling.
Hahah noice. My rear looks like that too. That means it's time to replace huh? 🤣
You should try out the Hurricane Mountain trail network in North Conway, NH if you get the chance to get out here in the summer.
This may be a strange question but have you ever been skiing in flagstaff, Arizona.
Hey! Im 13 all you can do on those jumps and stuff your scared of is commit and practice thats how i got used to most of my jumps now im a mtb trail racer and a motorcross racer
This isn't Jesus... It is The Singletrack Sampler😅
Did you have a chance to visit the crescent hotel during your visit?
Phtalo green, Prussian blue... was Bob Ross also building trails?!

my tip for sending is if you know you can do and youve seen someone else do it just deathgrip it because i often pull the breaks because there there i guess
I’m surprised there no trail named “Redemption” He is, after all, Christ the Redeemer.
you should totally hit up Lincoln Parish Park in North Louisiana! Its one of the best in the state
NICE! Never heard of that place. Def, gotta go now, thx!
My favorite trail system in Arkansas. I hope you guys got to hit Devils Den while you were here too.
hmm I get better the more I fall and know how much I can get hurt but it seems that that's the opposite for you.
Great video. That intro. 🙌🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice video. You didn't have to make fun of religion though.

That prayer was destined to happen😂
Starting it off strong in Arkansas nice!
So cool seeing you guys in my neck of the woods
Just rode that trail earlier today!
I need to get back there. I happened to be there last summer, but it was 100F with 80% humidity so I opted to do things inside.
Man that looks awesome
My son, seeketh and ye shall sendeth!🙏
I really want to ride with you
I had to rewind it, that giant Jesus statue looks a lot like SingletrackSampler!! LMAO....send it guys! Always love your videos so much fun with you two.

Lol this was hallarious!!! I love your vids btw
Bcpov big fan! ❤
Minute ~ 4:00 'ich habe keine Angst' - 'i'm not afraid'
the music is jut right
Funny intro 😂😂😂
what tire is that so I can avoid it?
I think it's funny that people were taken back by the "baby head" terminology. I never thought twice about it- kinda like Joey on Friends- "You see something, you hear a word, I thought that's what it was."
Go man you got this
These look sick!!!
My own head is one of my biggest obstacles. Some days, I feel on it and every jump feels fluid, I feel loose and totally in control. Yet other days, I lack confidence, I'm stiff and my jumps feel awkward and I am scratching my head where did the confident other me go.
Always a good day when BCpov uploads!
Excellent production - content, editing, filming. Thanks Eric & Yuka.
