    You're living proof a big vehicle can be efficient if your journey is planned correctly and you know how to drive economically! Nice trip!

    Beautiful mountains, I'd really want to go there some day! And do a fuel consumption test 😁

    Thanks for the video! Great advices here! I've often wondered about when to use hybrid, pure, hold, charge or B mode.

    Hello, Nice video! I have a xc90 t8 -20 with the 11.6 battery. When I charge the input is like 8,5-9 kw, not 10.5 as you stated in this or the "range video" of the t8. Why is that do you think? Mine always starts with 36 km I Pure mode, not 40km as in yours

    I have the T8 2018 so was interested in this. The scenic route through the mountains is indeed perfect for the economy given the lowish average speed and the potential for recuperation on the downhills. However this is not possible on French / Italian or German motorways if you need to keep cruise control on 130 km/h. Over 70k km I average consumption of 5.5 litres but I do relatively little motorway

      It always depends on what you use the car for. Doing mainly motorway, a PHEV is not the right car. I chose an PHEV intentionally, as most of my trips are either off motorway, on motorway with relatively low speeds (western Austria 100 kph, Switzerland 120 kph, Northern Italy often 110 kph), plus I do a lot of up-and-down-roads, which are perfect for a PHEV.

      @@ecodriver1746 yes agree, the same for me. Interesting what you say about putting in Charge mode, I've never tried it

    Great to see what a vehicle is capable of when driven correctly. I really enjoy your videos. Have you tested the bmw 330e ?

    This is really useful. I am picking up my new XC90 T8 445ps next week. Genuinely interested in how much more you will be able to get out of the PHEV with the larger battery?

      Thanks, you're welcome. I hope to get the new T8 within the next weeks for a test.

    I'm so curious how much will you have consumption on that kind of trip with Prius PHEV

    Great video and excelent consumtion for that heavy car. What is the diference in alltitute in start and finish point? Sory if i missed that. What was the tyre pressure and tyre specifications? My volvo v70 d2 1.6hdi 8v 2011 would have under or cca 5 liters with 1700kg. I love the car and will keep it for next 10 years maybe if the engine will be ok.

    What is typical fuel consumption on highway with 0 battery ?

    • @ecodriver1746
      @ecodriver1746  2 роки тому +2

      At 100 kph around 5-6 l/100 km, at 120 kph around 6-7 l/100 km, if the battery is not charged.

    it would be great to to it both ways and show your pumping on petrol station and how much the board computer difer from actual consumption. Imagine this trip with lighter car such ass prius PHEV must be somewhere 3 to 4 liter per 100km. What do you thing?

    • @ecodriver1746
      @ecodriver1746  2 роки тому +2

      The board computer differs from real consumption by 0,05 l/100 km to high (BC shows more than real).
