Definitely sounds like a great opportunity for another video, my guy. Show the naysayers what you’re all about here. Maybe even a video directed at what art supplies are best for getting kids started or encouraging their talents.
Agreed!! You can buy cheap supplies that work and are a great starting point, but unfortunately these days, sets like this are made to look good, therefore the money spent making them goes more towards presentation, so basically you are buying the case. The same amount of money could buy great supplies, but won't look as nice
I agree with your point on drawing pencils. Well, most of the time. There are some really horrible pencils out there. But a good pencil doesn't have to be expensive. A lot of people insist on expensive erasers too, and that's not necessary either - in fact, my old teacher told me that the cheap and nasty basic white erasers do just fine. Given most professional grade materials are stupidly expensive, I'd definitely like to see the 'Christmas list' as a follow-up to this video!
There’s nothing like the right equipment. It makes all the difference. I’d rather get my children 10 good colored pencils than 50 crappy ones. It makes an enormous difference in how you are able to actually accomplish an activity and how enjoyable it is. I think your point is spot on.
The problem with the kit is there mostly cheap fillers then pigments in the art supplies. The box is the only thing that's useful, just take out the cheap art supplies, make some adjustments and put in the good ones.
I have a art box but not with 2 more boxes and it doesn’t have markers and really thankful I don’t have them and the paint is on water color pad. But the box is really cool. You can costumize it
I’ve never used oil paint before but I do know that generally you need some sort of paint thinner like turpentine or linseed oil to thin it out and clean the brush. There is such thing as water soluble oil paints that you don’t need paint thinner for but most oil paints are incompatible with water. I also find it weird to have oil paint in a kids set because even if the patio themselves aren’t toxic the mediums needed to mix them and clean the brushes are toxic.
Whilst that used to be true, you can now get non-toxic versions of turps to clean/thin oil paints/brushes - citrus solvent. They even now make water soluble oil paints (it hurts me to type that out.. I mean, really?) but it takes some "googling" to find it and I agree that most people, particularly those buying these kits, probably wouldn't know it or even know to look for it.
Ahaha I use water-miscible oils (Cobra mostly) and you still need a thinner/cleaner to clean build-up off of your brushes, but! it is hell of a good fun to use and much easier than trad.oils XD. I did have to stop using it for a while because even though you can use turps alternatives etc. it still gives off fumes. Oil paint bars/sticks are a great alternative to avoid it all ^^. These sets made me avoid pens, pastels and crayons for years lmao. Trauma flashbacks
I think also you don't just put oil paint on paper. You have to prepare a canvas first, or the only time I saw an artist using oil paint in a sketchbook they first painted the paper with Gesso and let it dry
U also need special oil (there are different kinds) to use while painting to move the paint on the paper/canvas. The same way you would use water with acrylic
Sir, YOU are the reason I keep just having fun with art and have stopped trying to be "perfect" and just be me. I needed the humor of this today. You are my favorite art UA-camr.
Dude… you just made me AND my wife feel soooo much better!!! I always thought I couldn’t do art… now I know why! 😂 my mom always got dollar store stuff when I was a kid… and it would always come out like “Bob”…. Now I know I COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!!!! Ugh thank you ADC.
THIS is exactly the point many need to read. So many feel like they're not good enough, when in reality it's the products they use. I'm glad you feel better about it now :) thank youu!!
@@667hodge I’ve seen your art…. Sit the hell down, no one was talking to you! Lmao that was for regular humans, not machines! Lol great work!!! I think ADC Needs to see that!!!
I also received one of these sets as a kid and I couldn't help but reminisce over your frustration. I 100% agree that these sets do nothing but demotivate artists. However, I think the worst part is because it was gifted to me by my parents, I felt the guilt of throwing them away and obligated to use them. Parents please! take from this video and learn a little bit about what to get your little artists because this was a nightmare for me, just the same as ADC. Thank you ADC for doing this video. Hopefully you just saved a bunch of new artists from these nightmares in a box.
This video was just fun, you being more yourself and not scripted, looking at the box, it could've had potential but the best thing about it was clearly the eraser 😅
The box is really cool ! Just gotta replace all the junk supplies inside to make it really worth something. I had something similar, but it was a single-fold all-plastic... thing.
I have never had one of those, even being the art kid growing up and now! I have always just told or showed my parents and relatives what i wanted for my birthday and Christmas.😊💜
I received almost the exact same kit from my family 2 years ago, and Oh My God, I'm soooooo glad you've reviewed it 😅! What a struggle on my side too! And I did loose patience, just like you did 😑 My family had very good intentions, but boy... my mental health had been ruined when I tried to get anything from it 😭
Thank you for speaking out regarding water based markers! I feel exactly the same. And I hope you give your nephew the empty box which he can fill with lots of possibilities!
so with oils you never put them with water because because oil and water don't go together instead you use oil paint thinners and mediums to clean and thin down the oil paint. And that set was crazy not to include some oil supplies with it. But i love that you were open and wern't afraid to try them!!!!!!! i hope to see you use oils again in the future but i recommend a brand like arteza oil paint or windsor and newton for good oil paint, by the way they do make water mixable oils which you can paint with water if you'd like to try them!!😃😃 loved what you created with the art set btw!!!!!!
Funny thing: I think my in laws got me this exact same set you got there. Like a few things alter (mostly just the ingraved logo on the case and the design of the water/oil/acrylic paint), but apart of that it is the same product. The only reason I was happy about the thing was because that wooden case is kinda gorgeous. The paints are partly alright. Depends on the colour I think. I used the a few of the acrylics and the waterpaint so far when I ran out of my higher quality stuff on a Sunday morning or whatever. Some worked fine, some are an absolute nightmare - m' lookin' at you acrylic green
I have ADD, and I feel seen 😊 I loved the chaotic fun energy! And yes this kit made my eye twitch, it looks good but the quality is shameful. As an artist myself, the feel, the texture, and the pigment is so important. But I had one of the "kits for kids" as a kid as well and probably is the reason why I'm so picky 😂. Keep rocking being you and the art 🎨.
I feel like we just watched Anthony have a total mental breakdown with these supplies. "What colors are penguins? NOT PENGUINS!!" I hope you recover from this experience quickly. Ooof. (It was, however, quite fun to watch! I know, schadenfreude).
Crappy as the set is, I'm impressed they included oil paints! I definitely encourage you to try them more in the future, as other people in the comments have said already they're supposed to be used with paint thinner/ turpentine rather than water. You can actually do some pretty cool stuff with oil pastels and paint thinner as well though a less waxy pastel would work better. But oils are one of the most forgiving paints you can use, you can fix mistakes pretty easily. (Also, this video is making me want to bust out my Crayola markers just for fun😆)
As a kid i used creyons for scratch art. Make a gradient ow color then use a sharp object to carve the painting. Might not be high art but as a small child it was great fun. I also remember something about putting them in hot water to make them smoother but that might be my memory lying to me.
Last year I got an easel from that exact brand for just 18€ and I was as amazed as you are. The paints and brushes that came with it are some of the best I’ve ever used
This brand is always in my local Lild and literally every art supply I've gotten from them has been one of the best ones I've had! The prices are pretty good too
I remember the cheap plastic, VHS case-like art sets that easily got crushed, but this one is gorgeous. I wanted to use the colored pencils, but they're the size of your pinkie finger. Oils are absolute madness in my opinion. You need paint thinner, linseed oil is common, and oil paint takes an infinity to dry because oil doesn't evaporate at the same rate as water. You have to walk away from your painting and never touch it. You can scrape off what you don't like and do it over, so that's cool.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I am laughing so much and feel a bit as if I looked at myself teaching :D Glad that my thoughts about art supplies for children are valid and that it makes a lot of sense of me to let my kids use my supplies when they are drawing/painting with me (yes, I'm talking about my full set of Polychromos colouring pencils and watercolors from W&N, Schmincke and Roman Szmal) and buy them good quality supplies for playing alone. I have a niece who is an artist, I'll never be able to paint anything like that. I do not understand why her parents do not buy her good quality supplies. It does not have to cost a lot extra to get more pigment and better binder in the paints but the way they perform is so much better! As it is, she gets a bit spoiled at her birthday and Christmas :)
My goal is to promote the best and accessible supplies. As you say, that means introducing people to these products too. New artists, be they children, teens or adults are seeking satisfaction and results, without the correct tools they won't see them. I'll do my best to showcase professional products CHEAPER than this kit more in the future. It seems many aren't aware of them.
I got that kit as a gift and I make it work quite well, in some parts even better than some professional supplies I had, the kit is still good if you know how to use supplies properly together and in a way where they best excel at. I personally love using it in my sketchbook and still create good character or illustration pages without any struggles. I'd say obviously not to get that kit if the person in question is not yet that good of an artist or doesn't know how to make cheap supplies work. You don't need professional or insanely expensive high-quality supplies to make good art.
I have this kit, the saying a good artist can make any supply into a masterpiece isn't true lmao, the supplies may work for what you do but they're awful supplies. Like they may "look good" but they're not good quality, yeah can make them looks good enough, but that just it. They're good enough, the acrylic paints and watercolour paints work good enough. But when you use even just student grade products there's a clear difference and increase in quality with not much increase in proce lmao. Buying a set like this is fine as long as you're not trying to do anything even just for a beginers art class. There is no reason to use these over student grade supplies, which compared to the price of this would even be generally cheaper. This specific set isn't cheap. The whole price goes towards the wooden box, and that's the only thing it's worth for. The supplies are good for kids. But even some of the supplies included kids shouldnt use. This set is just not worth it unless people want a big box, they're not good supplies and they don't make good art, it's just barely good enough
@@articice3184 I do agree there is better quality supplies, of course but I wasn't talking about the price of this one but quality, my point was just that you don't need insanely high quality supplies to be able to make good art. Could you make something that could be held in a museum? Of course not lol but for art at home the supplies are good enough to be satisfied with if properly used. I personally don't know how much this specific kit cost as it was a gift so I'm basing my opinion off of the supplies inside alone, and anyone can be satisfied with them if they know what they're doing. I'm not saying to buy these over better quality stuff if they're cheaper as that's a no brainer but for many people it will be different depending on their skills and experience so I wouldn't call the supplies a fail or bad or only good for kids etc.
@@articice3184"the supplies are good for kids"... What? Did you not watch the video? ADC spent the entire video struggling, and you want to give that same product to a child? Someone with possibly no prior experience?
@@shadowheartart3898 Where in my comment did you get that? That is completely opposite of my entire comment xd ADC said that "the supplies are good for kids" (with exceptions) in his previous comment, my point was against that. This is not 'for kids' or someone who doesn't know how to work with lower quality supplies. Re-read my comment please as you entirely missed my point (you did the whole 180 on it lmao). Or, if english is not your stronger suit then don't reply with arguing semantics
@@trashycookie9477 it wasn't directed at you, but the other one who posted on your original comment =) I thought I'd made it clear enough by sticking their name on it - I apologise for the confusion. It wasn't intended
I had a smaller set with those markers that came in a metal briefcase. The supplies weren't the best quality, but not many of my art supplies at that time were very good quality, and my art was on par with my supplies. I loved the briefcase, though. I thought it looked more professional and kept the supplies organized.
I’m sure those colored pencils have very little pigment, but can you try them on something with more tooth than marker paper? It might help a little. I also agree I don’t know why watercolor markers suck so much. At least Tombows are good for sketching, but you have to be prepared for and work with the streakiness, or blend them with a brush and water.
Ok I got to the point where you pushed the pencil hard. Sorry they were a bust. When my kids started showing more than a passing interest in art, I started buying them better quality supplies. I would never waste money on these sets. Also oil pastels can make beautify work. Those ones are clearly trash. And don’t knock regular crayons, they have their place for teaching kids and having fun.
In case I haven't said it lately, I love you haha. You're just so relatable because that's exactly how I am when I try new stuff. In fact, I bought some Gouache just to see if I'd like it after you loved it so much. Thank you so much for being here ^_^
"This pencil is better at holding itself together than I am". Made me laugh Anthony (not at you). Keep being yourself, you're awesome! Made me remember using the cheap pencils that were like that. Terrible feeling.
I hated using one of these sets when I was a kid, but at the same time I was so happy when I got it. For me it felt like I'm an artist and my parents cared for me
For the oil paint, you could have used turpentine, linseed oil, or mineral spirits to clean the brush and blend. The oil pastels can be blended like oil paint with a paper stump or fingers. The set was not as bad as you thought. You are a favorite❤
As a kid I would go to the art supply store in my neighbourhood and just STARE through the window at those sets for hours. It looked like the best thing ever.
You have to go round and round in small, even, little circles with those type of markers if you want even color. Have to push down harder with those type of pencils, or keep building for ages. OMG I remember the smell of them paints, hated them. Funny story - I once tried to open a slightly dried one and POP, it exploded into my face! Rub the 'sticks' with your finger (or special blenders), and I think you might be able to use water (or oil, or certain, special liquid). Thing is, some children break their art supplies, use them incorrectly (like pushing extremely hard, or scribbling very fast all over the page), or lose them, leave lids off them, and ruin colours by trying to colour yellow over black etc... that's what make parents etc, by the cheaper alternative... at least until the child takes better care and attention. Good pens for young children are about £10, for adults... Your looking at over £50 all the way into the hundreds. ( I used to work with children LOL)
This is the reason why I went digital as soon as it was feasible. Good art-supplies are too expensive and affordable art-supplies are generally crap (Though honestly I'm partial to Derwent because of their huge price-range.). For two decades now I use art-pads and pen-tablets (art-pads - affordable/pen-tablets - splurge a little!!). If you're not sure, get an art-pad. If you don't like it you can still use it for OSU. You don't even need to pay through the nose for an art-program as GIMP and Krita exist and are free. The cost of making digital art is heavily frontloaded, but once you have a reasonable laptop and your art-pad/pen-tablet you're set (Many digi-artists offload their old pads/tablets as soon as something better in their class comes around so at the turn of a new hardware-gen you can get some good 2-hand deals.). Physical art-creation is too expensive and the fact that beginners have little knowledge about what's decent for a reasonable cost is heavily abused.
I had one. Just an assortment of cheap stuff. When I got back into drawing in my 30s, I was pretty jealous that kids today have internet and UA-cam to learn all about the good, affordable art supplies. I think if someone had given me a set of Prismacolors and a decent set of alcohol markers when I was 12, I might have pursued art more seriously in my teens and 20s--my high school art career mainly consisted of me just drawing stuff to make my friends laugh. One year, me and a friend drew our English teacher so many times, we pretty much had a set design for him like we were animators or something, lol.
This video was so enjoyable=) Thank you. Now you deserve some well-earned rest=) I like the box, it can be put to good use and filled with a better-quality supplies. =)
Connector pens is what I wanted as a kid. When I finally got them, I used them all up. Not overly expensive but more than the "cheap" lend that dried out fast. And I made space ships and castles it if the pens.
I used cheap watercolor pens like those ones. For better results it's better to: 1. Test the colors before and how they mix 2. Don't mix more than 2 colors because the paper will tear 3. Be fast to paint because they dry fast and once dry, you can't continue painting the same area because the new paint overlaps with the old paint 4. Start with the lighter colors and finish with the darkest colors 5. Avoid mixing colors to not damage the paper and they don't mix uniformly, so it's better to use a large color set for each of the different tones
I used to have one of these and everything in there worked really good it came with scissors, paint, pens, pencils, ruber, shapener and it all worked quite good
After watching the complete review, I don’t think I would even give these to the grands. It would ruin their whole lives thinking that these were the norm. But……I love the box❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 1 of the funniest videos!! Please do another watercolour video after you watch skills share 😊. Also I would LOVE ❤️ to see you try professional oil paints, they are toxic though, so prepare appropriately. There are now nontoxic ones too, but then you will not be trying "real" oil paints. A quick note, I am also fairly certain those are pastels in stick form 😂. If they are you have to use your fingers to blend and spread them once ypu put them down. I recommend artist grade paper for pastels, still I have not got great results from pastels. If I commented on everything that I was in stitches, I would have to make a very long comment. Suffices to say, "thank you for a very entertaining video, and 1 of the best I have seen ". I am highly considering going through this and writing your amazing lines, but then uou made the video, besides I might miss some and then you will hate me for it and will still be able to call myself a fan of yours 😂😂😂. Thank you, this was great. Personally, I like the boxes and can store better art supplies in them instead 😊. Second, sometimes they have excellent pencils or paints plus the actual pencils and erasers. Seems like each box only gets 1, maximum 2, art supplies that are worth the children actually using. Absolutely smashed this video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.
My brother got me a similar art kit as a holiday gift. The pencils were decent as were callligraphy pens & acrylic paints which I used for Gelliprints. I’ve had the kit for a few years & I still haven’t used the oil pastels & the tube watercolors since I prefer pan ones. The case is great for storing sketchbooks though👍
You know what I would like to see you do is pick a child's art supply box and using all the products in it in a combination to create the best art that you can
I have the exact same case but in black xD As soon as you started to use the markers & oil pastels I knew you would hate them, they are bad. As are the watercolors & brushes. The colored pencils on the other hand - I figured out that with the right paper (with a rough texture) they are not that bad! I liked the acrylics very much - very creamy texture and I think you need to use paint thinner or turpentine with the oil paints. But I think you did a very good job on the "penguin". Love your videos! :)
I think i Can Help a Little V That stink is the release agent of the Acrylics. How more it Stink the cheaper it is usually. V Don't Rub your Fingers over a New Brush there is water soluble glue on it to keep the Hair Straight. Bushing the Harder Hairs with your Thumb can bend it. smooth them with Water instead. V Doing something Wrong in Color with Oil Paint? no problem try the wrong paint with a Towel (no jerking motion, just dab) or it isn't it that much wait until the Color Drys a little and Paint Over. V Oil and Water are not Friends Oil will Always Push the Water away or will swimm on it. What are you thinking by mixing them with Water? V Again you can't Clean Oil with Water it will Push Water away. Thats why Turpentine-based brush cleaner Exist for that . V You know what the Crayons are because you say their names while you hold them in your hand. They are Oil Pastels. I am not sure if you can use them on that Picture of that Pinguin mayby with Alcohol or Terpentine besides when you paint it over it later with a brush (if the paper survives this) it should work but i have never Testet it. The main thing of Oil pastel is to paint something with it and Heat the Picture (most people use a Heat Gun) so that the wax melts into the paint. However, since it also contains oil, it will smooth out rather than run away when heated, causing different colors in the pen to blend into one another and sometimes even blend together. Here you can also use a painter's spatula to control the course a little or to scratch some scratches into the picture later as effects. If you want to completely freak out, you can also heat the pen itself and drip it over the picture. These can be left standing or smoothed over with a painter's spatula. Some people are even more extreme and melt the pen to such an extent that they put a chunk of it on the spatula like putty and rub it over the picture like... well, like putty.
“I like blue watercolorrrr Not as much as the yellowwww The red one was kinda bad But the brown one- was just as worse The green one- it’s kinda cool cause it reminds me of….. shrek.” -adc 2023
You are exactly right! Children's art supplies made me not enjoy art. It wasn't until highschool when I got to use professional oil pastels that I started to enjoy art again..
Might be obvious, and the video isn't new but 1) The pencils seem to be like Faber-Catell Polychromos. 2)Coloured pencils work in the way that you slowly build up the vibrid colour by layering and layering and layering some more Tip from one with coloured pencils; yeah, pencils doesn't work like markers. To get a good solid black, build it by taking the darkest of the other colours, blue, green, brown, grey and purple. And just layer, and layer. Again and again. Looks like the markers will be good for colouring Disney colouring sheets. Where it's more or less one colour per area or part of the drawing
Oh dear, I remember having something similar to this when I was younger. Always thought it was me and I just couldn’t colour or wasn’t pushing down hard enough for the coloured pencils 😂
Crayons exist because they’re the easiest thing to lay down color, so it’s the first thing kids learn to color with. The wax doesn’t wipe off as easily. Some colored pencils are waxed based, just so ya know. Those aren’t really crayons; they looked like some sort of pastel chalk with some oily substance.
ADC...I dont know if you are interested or not but I think you would get more views and engagement if you changed things up a bit. Love watching you color in coloring books, but maybe include some pointers while you do that? Like shading tips, how you are making the page look so good? I know u say u zone.out and.just go with it but you are still making choices and it would be cool to hear how you improved. Anyway, u don't have to keep comparing art supplies unless you want to of course, but I would love to see you do like a wip (work in progress) like a commissioned piece or idk, an actual work of yours that's not divided in half? Not complaining, love you, just want MoRE! lol ❤
About pencils and quality, I personally buy mid-range pencils usually. I prefer a certain hardness of lead because being left-handed means I'll smear all over the paper and my hand if I use a lead that's too soft or crumbly.
This video was so chaotic 🤣 I thought I loved these as a kid but getting one when I was older it was shocking. I absolutely hated the pens actually got put off using coloured pens
As a mixed median type of artist, I use these sets all my life and I have never had a problem with any of the supplies that comes in it,just remember to not leave caps off for a long time, colored pencil led doesn't always match the color of the pencil itself and I feel that you are being a bit harsh about the kit. Colored pencils are going to be lighter or darker with light or firm pressures. You said just have fun with it and you will be fine.
Just a heads up, Ohuhu do oil paints that are incredibly good quality for the price 😉 I would love to see you do video on oil painting! It’s my favourite out of all the paint types 😊
Wait they do?!? Are they like student grade or artist grade? I love oil so much and I’m always looking around at different brands so I’m surprised I haven’t heard about this 😅

@@ADCArtAttack 😊
Pin-worthy comment right there.
I'm sorry it took so long for the "epiphany", but I'm glad it got there
@@667hodge that's really not helpful though.
I had something similar, but it was a single-fold all-plastic... thing.
I too had the plastic thing.... I avoided "looking" at this. So I wasn't aware of its contents, it really surprised me to see a 'wooden' box.

“Why am I so excited by hinges?” This is the kind of humor that’s gonna get me through the semester 😂
I have NO idea why I was so happy to see them haha. Genuinely surprised me
@@ADCArtAttack lol the hinges remind me of when thesummer break comes FINALLY
@@ADCArtAttackI thought that was a joke

-ADC, 2023
I have never had one of those, even being the art kid growing up and now! I have always just told or showed my parents and relatives what i wanted for my birthday and Christmas.😊💜
I received almost the exact same kit from my family 2 years ago, and Oh My God, I'm soooooo glad you've reviewed it 😅! What a struggle on my side too! And I did loose patience, just like you did 😑
My family had very good intentions, but boy... my mental health had been ruined when I tried to get anything from it 😭
Thank you for speaking out regarding water based markers!
It’s illegal to give oil mediums to kids as most of them can kill or mess with your brain from what I’ve researched (including from inhaling it!)
"ducks are people too"
I have ADD, and I feel seen 😊 I loved the chaotic fun energy!
My mistake was spending 4 hours recording that haha. I was becoming disconnected
@@ADCArtAttackI think your mistake was trying that set out in the first place!
@@ADCArtAttack lol it was funny humor though but I feel bad for you just "suffering"
I love the box. It’s beautiful. They should just sell those and allow you to fill them with your own stuff.
As a kid i used creyons for scratch art. Make a gradient ow color then use a sharp object to carve the painting. Might not be high art but as a small child it was great fun. I also remember something about putting them in hot water to make them smoother but that might be my memory lying to me.
I enjoyed watching this, thanks to UA-cam for suggesting this as the next video to watch after the previous one I watched before. I am subscribing! 👍
Last year I got an easel from that exact brand for just 18€ and I was as amazed as you are. The paints and brushes that came with it are some of the best I’ve ever used
This brand is always in my local Lild and literally every art supply I've gotten from them has been one of the best ones I've had! The prices are pretty good too
W art, W commentary, W video, L art kit
Oh, also W youtuber, I forgot
The best description I've heard of a set like this is "it's just a nice, expensive little case where you can store your really good stuff"
I am laughing so much and feel a bit as if I looked at myself teaching :D
Glad that my thoughts about art supplies for children are valid and that it makes a lot of sense of me to let my kids use my supplies when they are drawing/painting with me (yes, I'm talking about my full set of Polychromos colouring pencils and watercolors from W&N, Schmincke and Roman Szmal) and buy them good quality supplies for playing alone.
That is completely opposite of my entire comment xd
ADC said that "the supplies are good for kids" (with exceptions) in his previous comment, my point was against that.
This is not 'for kids' or someone who doesn't know how to work with lower quality supplies. Re-read my comment please as you entirely missed my point (you did the whole 180 on it lmao). Or, if english is not your stronger suit then don't reply with arguing semantics

9:15 water based markers are great for cartoons, and simple drawings. I love the zebra ones. They’re awesome.
The wooden boxes were definitely high quality back in the day too. Well my “back in the day” were the 90s
At least you get a cute case for your good art materials 😅
i would dump all the supplies in the box, and use it for my quality supplies. the box is the only quality there!!
Thank you so much for being here ^_^
Fun fat ,That's actually a parrot and i love it ♡☆♡☆
Fat...
I was laughing so hard watching you struggle! My parents bought me art kits like this many times and I see they haven’t improved in 40 years.
They've gotten even worse haha. And even more expensive :(
"This pencil is better at holding itself together than I am".
ADC doesn't have intrusive thoughts...all of them are extrusive on camera 😂😂
I have a real bad habit of doing these things. Even off camera, I "knock" on walls.. Tip things over.. I'm a little different haha
My grandmother would give me a kit like this every Christmas, and I never really used them. Even as a child I knew the supplies were not good.
I always feel like that a good artist can draw with EVERYTHING, like i mean everything, ur the perfect example for this lol!!!
“My phone fell over and I jumped” I don’t know why but that KILLED me 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Honestly one of your funniest videos purely because of the honesty and natural reacts not caring about what people might think. 😂💯 Great Video.
( I used to work with children LOL)
nah this is the first vid i have watched of this dude and im floofin laughing so hard , your so funny dude , keep up the great work!
Uses a pencil “have you run out of ink?” 😂
This video was so enjoyable=) Thank you. Now you deserve some well-earned rest=) I like the box, it can be put to good use and filled with a better-quality supplies. =)
“We’re doing three pieces of artwork today” man i don’t blame you for not trying a third one after that disaster 🤣🤣
Connector pens is what I wanted as a kid. When I finally got them, I used them all up. Not overly expensive but more than the "cheap" lend that dried out fast. And I made space ships and castles it if the pens.
I used cheap watercolor pens like those ones. For better results it's better to:
1. Test the colors before and how they mix
2. Don't mix more than 2 colors because the paper will tear
3. Be fast to paint because they dry fast and once dry, you can't continue painting the same area because the new paint overlaps with the old paint
4. Start with the lighter colors and finish with the darkest colors
5. Avoid mixing colors to not damage the paper and they don't mix uniformly, so it's better to use a large color set for each of the different tones
I used to have one of these and everything in there worked really good it came with scissors, paint, pens, pencils, ruber, shapener and it all worked quite good
For oils paints, I use white spirits as a paint thinner and clean the brush, probably not the healthiest, but it's the cheapest option...
After watching the complete review, I don’t think I would even give these to the grands. It would ruin their whole lives thinking that these were the norm. But……I love the box❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cool!🎉

The most fun video I've seen today! Eraser obviously took the win here today.
How frustrating for you! Thanks for trying it out!!!!! 😮

Maybe they should just sell the boxes empty, the box does look so pretty.
Next time you use oil paint, use mineral spirits to clean ur brush. Oil and water usually dont mix lol

This art set I was my very first art set. When my mom got this . I knew my art journey began
You know what I would like to see you do is pick a child's art supply box and using all the products in it in a combination to create the best art that you can
0:27 I don't think we hate you we just like seeing you try new stuff lol
I have the exact same case but in black xD
As soon as you started to use the markers & oil pastels I knew you would hate them, they are bad. :)

That stink is the release agent of the Acrylics. How more it Stink the cheaper it is usually.

Don't Rub your Fingers over a New Brush there is water soluble glue on it to keep the Hair Straight. Bushing the Harder Hairs with your Thumb can bend it. smooth them with Water instead.

Doing something Wrong in Color with Oil Paint? no problem try the wrong paint with a Towel (no jerking motion, just dab) or it isn't it that much wait until the Color Drys a little and Paint Over.

Oil and Water are not Friends Oil will Always Push the Water away or will swimm on it. What are you thinking by mixing them with Water?
V
Again you can't Clean Oil with Water it will Push Water away. Thats why Turpentine-based brush cleaner Exist for that .
V
You know what the Crayons are because you say their names while you hold them in your hand.
The pack is for the whole family, kids to adults lol.
Also glad i'm not the only one who gets distracted by wobbling paper to make a sound XD
The box is really nice, the rest you can donate them. Thank you so much for this video !

You are exactly right! Children's art supplies made me not enjoy art. It wasn't until highschool when I got to use professional oil pastels that I started to enjoy art again..
4:31 perpetual motion! 😂
Might be obvious, and the video isn't new but 1) The pencils seem to be like Faber-Catell Polychromos. 2)Coloured pencils work in the way that you slowly build up the vibrid colour by layering and layering and layering some more
Tip from one with coloured pencils; yeah, pencils doesn't work like markers. To get a good solid black, build it by taking the darkest of the other colours, blue, green, brown, grey and purple. And just layer, and layer. Again and again.
Looks like the markers will be good for colouring Disney colouring sheets. Where it's more or less one colour per area or part of the drawing
They develop it amazingly well. I wish I had it in my childhood
The consistent biting of everything is so me coded 😭😭
Oh dear, I remember having something similar to this when I was younger. Always thought it was me and I just couldn’t colour or wasn’t pushing down hard enough for the coloured pencils 😂
Crayons exist because they’re the easiest thing to lay down color, so it’s the first thing kids learn to color with. The wax doesn’t wipe off as easily. Some colored pencils are waxed based, just so ya know. Those aren’t really crayons; they looked like some sort of pastel chalk with some oily substance.
The magnetic pencil part ended me 😂 in 4:29
I prefer color pencils because theyre simple enough to understand. And not messy like paints. Just make sure to buy pencils that actually work.
Oh! Its the one from Aldi or Lidl. I saw it the other Day and wondered how it
Would compare to regular Art Supplies!
Good Video 🫶🏻

Where did you buy them? I would love to know
ADC...I dont know if you are interested or not but I think you would get more views and engagement if you changed things up a bit.
Cheap markers for kids is the reason why I quit using markers as a whole. I prefer colored pencils from prismacolor ever since
As a mixed median type of artist, I use these sets all my life and I have never had a problem with any of the supplies that comes in it,just remember to not leave caps off for a long time, colored pencil led doesn't always match the color of the pencil itself and I feel that you are being a bit harsh about the kit. Colored pencils are going to be lighter or darker with light or firm pressures. You said just have fun with it and you will be fine.
