It's still one of my favorite pens and nibs in my collection. Actually, I didn't even realize that Esterbrook did site exclusives like that at the time, so it was just a stroke of luck that I was on there at the right time. 😍
I think I’ll use my Yozakura this month. When I first got it, I was a little disappointed in the color, but now I find I like it better. Ink tastes do change! I also have Colorverse Brane and love that ink! Armadillo looks great to me. Maybe the underbelly of an armadillo has that look? I kinda like the name because we have armadillos where I live. Wish BPC sold samples.
Thank you for watching!! My ink tastes change so often these days. Just last summer/fall, I was obsessed with orange and yellow inks, but I've been a bit off of them since late last year. I keep trying to get back into them, but I just haven't been able to get as excited about using them - I think it's a seasonal thing, maybe. And I, too, wish BPC would sell samples. That said, I really haven't had a total failboat (for me) color yet. Even the one shad I wasn't so sure about initially has totally grown on me.
I just ordered some inks from Birmingham Pen Inks, but somehow missed that Salt Marsh. I will have to include it in my next order. Love that color. I adore my new Winter White Estie. At the moment I’m using Diamine’s Silver Fox in it. The combo is growing on me. As usual, great video.
If you like the colorway, I definitely recommend Saltmarsh. It's such a good ink, especially for being a bit of a chromoshader. Not dry at all! Thanks so much for watching. 😍
Really enjoying going through all these past “Currently Inked” videos 😊 How do you choose your inks each month? Do you have a certain mood or vision you’re capturing? More based on what pens you want to use? Something else? I feel like your selections make for a really coherent color scheme so I was curious about how you come up with it!
So it kind of depends. I'll usually have a general theme and then choose colors from there, like "autumn" or "holidays," but sometimes I'll track down interesting stock photos, and select shades that way. And then when I just want to play around, I pick totally random colors that just happen to speak to me in the moment. Picking an ink line-up every month is honestly one of my favorite parts of the hobby. :) Thanks so much for watching!!
It's one of my favorite shimmers from them! It and Velvet Ballet are both so reliable in most of my nibs. Very few hard starts all the way down to a fine nib, but still a good amount of visible shimmer. Love them!
Love the colors and the new pen. Unusual design. For the Oster, apparently there is such a thing as “ruby chocolate”. I learned that on the Great British Bake Off. 🤣
Thank you so much for watching! It's amazing the things we can learn from GBBO! 😁 I'm actually familiar with ruby chocolate (I run foodie programming for the library I work at, and do a lot of dessert events introducing and exploring flavors and interesting ingredients), and this is much more of an unusual wine-ish (but not quite) shade rather than the unsaturated rose of a lot of the ruby chocolates. Ireally like this shade, but i just can't quite place it. Now that you mention it, though, I would love a ruby chocolate colored ink!
Isn't it just a wonderful pen?! I'm planning to do an in-depth review of it sometime soon, just so I can hopefully get others to see how awesome it is. Thanks so much for watching!
Also love the Sailor MF nib in 21k nib. It feels like I’m writing with my mechanical pencils, it brings back working on homework vibes. Love your video keep it up!
They're so great, right? Can I ask which you have? Do you have a favorite? I just ordered a second-hand model from the ooooold cocktail line from 2013 or so that I've been eyeing for ages and ages, and I'm so excited for it to land.
@@snarkywordsworth I have the 1911L in MF in plain Jane black and silver. Not really into colors and fancy resins😆. I also have a Sailor Pro Gear in medium and also really love the way it writes.
I am seriously loving all their inks! Definitely keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming haul I just got in for them. I was in a green/brown mood at the time, though, so it'll be a lot of variations on that color scheme. 😅
Which Estie was that last pen? I couldn't see the whole pen, can you say the color of that one? I love your videos and especially your very lovely voice.
Awwww. Thank-you so much for the kind words! The last Estie was the Esterbrook exclusive Cola colorway they did a while back. I used to be a total soda fiend, so when they released it, I had to have it. LOL
My fave is the Cola Estie and the R O Chocolate ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I hate I missed the Cola. It's. A perfect match.

The FWP mushroom ink is 😍😍😍

Thank you - always enjoy seeing new inks and the pen pairings you choose.

Brane and blushing mushroom are some favorites over here too! Thx for the enjoyable video! 🌸✍️🖋🙌🏻

Love my Pilot Prera. It's never discussed and it's *so* smooth

I think Burmingham is my favorite ink🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love so many of these inks and pens, i don't even know where to start!
I'm really so happy with how this month's inks all blend together pretty well. I hadn't set out to do that, either. 😅
I'm experiencing the same, very wet EF of winter white estie. I'm still looking for the right waterproof ink to match
This Robert Oster ink Has the color of chocolate from Trinitario cocoa beans. It is rarely available but absolutely delicious.
Thanks for the insight! ☺️😀👍

What size nib was this?
Thanks so much for watching! Which pen are you referring to?
