Helena - Before + After 6 Run Technique Sessions

  • Helena came to the Hub for a set of 6 Run Technique Sessions. After suffering with knee and ITB pain, her goal was to run injury free. As well as working on her running technique, I also got Helena to introduce a Warm Up before every run to begin working on her mobility + glute activation. We also focussed on Walking Technique to help with her mobility. Helena was spending long hours sitting at a desk working - she has now converted to a standing desk. For her to go straight from sitting for hours to suddenly running was a big ask for her body without warming up! She can now touch her toes which she hasn’t been able to do for years, she has PB’d her ParkRun and achieved speeds of 5 min/mile which she has never done before. Not bad huh 😉
